Inconsistent meal preparation. Never know what you are getting, chicken salad with no chicken! Again! Flies in cookie case...

Good food, better than other fast food restaurants, but the lack of outside trash cans at this location was a bit frustrating.

I have eaten here a handful of times and I honestly can't say I have had a bad meal or experience…read more Today it was a turkey aviator with side of hm chips. Chips came out hot. Gotta love that. Turkey aviator was toasted and cheese melty. It was good. A sea of lettuce. The tomatoes could have been larger or more prominent. I like tomatoes. I've had a few different salads, some of their soups, and their chicken salad. All pretty good. Again, I've never had a bad meal or experience here. Service is friendly and prompt. Food comes out quick. Place is clean. Deep booths and middle tables. Dark wood. Light atmosphere. Nice patio. For a quick sandwich soup type of deal you can't go wrong.

We must've been on the back end of the busy lunch out. Maybe perfect timing! Not. Here's where it gets odd. It took 20 minutes for someone to come greet us once we were seated. We ordered a grinder, a chicken salad, a kids pizza, and a few bowls of French onion soup. It must've taken at least 45 minutes to receive our food. My wife and I just ate half our meals and headed for home to get our other young guys from the bus. I finished the grinder for dinner that evening. Around 9 p things went super sideways. My stomach was destroyed. I feel like my gut is generally pretty strong but this recked me. My wife wasn't feeling well. We looked at each other and with the two of us both in bad shape we did the math. Must have been some spoiled meat. I was up all night with all the fun (graphic) symptoms of food poisoning. Feeling much better today. Hind site is always 20/20 but I would never take my family back to Grinders. We should have saw some red flags but we didn't. Terrible experience. Couldn't recommend this one to an enemy.

My friend and I spent the day at the Lavender Festival at Maize Valley Winery this past Saturday…read more After browsing the many vendor booths throughout the festival, we stopped in the winery for lunch. There was a line when we arrived, but we were pleasantly surprised to be seated within about 5-10 minutes. Instead of a traditional server, each table had a QR code that allowed us to order both food and drinks directly from our phones. We had no interaction with any server, we had one member who delivered our food and wine flights to our rebel and left. The system worked well and everything arrived quickly and efficiently. We both ordered the Lavender Salad with added chicken. The salad featured mixed greens topped with feta, cucumber, red onion, lavender-pickled blueberries, candied pecans, and a lavender blueberry dressing. It was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. We both agreed it was excellent. We also each ordered a wine flight, which included four 2-ounce samples. I sampled the Sinfully Red, Mad Cow, Hanky Panky, and Redneck Red. I enjoyed all four wines. Most were on the sweeter side, while the Sinfully Red was a nice dry option that provided a good contrast. The Lavender Festival itself was wonderful, with plenty of vendors to shop from and lots to see. We also tried the lavender lemonade, which was refreshing and perfect for a warm summer day. One thing that surprised me was the additional charge to access the lavender fields. It was $10 to walk through and take photos, or $20 to take photos and cut lavender to bring home. Personally, I felt the $10 photo fee was a bit steep and not quite worth it just to snap a few pictures, but I understand it's a business and an additional way for them to generate revenue. Giving this review a 3-star instead of a 5-star because I felt the food and wine flight was a bit pricey and I did not like that they charge you to walk through the lavender field. I ended up paying almost $45 for a salad and flight as there was a large tip automatically added onto my order. I wasn't given the option to add a customized tip. I didn't even receive a text receipt to my my phone showing what I would be charged and the addition of the tip, so I thought that was a little bit sneaky and unexpected. We had the food delivered to our table. No other interaction took place. Overall, despite those two things mentioned, Maize Valley did a great job handling a very busy event. Between the beautiful festival atmosphere, tasty food, enjoyable wines, and efficient service, it was a fun day.

Maize Valley has very good Ohio red and White wines. Redneck red is probably my favorite, but I…read morehave not tasted a wine here where I was disappointed. The actual restaurant is also very good. I don't know if they have an actual chef but a lot of their menu is chef quality so kudos to Maize Valley if they're not actually using a chef. The ambiance is very chill and the place is quite large with a large variety of snacks and a cafe. I do not recommend the coffee. That is an area they could definitely improve. Other than that great job Maize Valley!!

Swensons is one of my absolute favorite places for a burger and shake. Swensons is open year round…read morewhich makes this burger and ice cream drive-in unique for Stark County. The location is on North Main st in North Canton diagonal from the Meijer in North Canton. The parking is around the building with additional parking in the parking lot. When you are ready to order: flip on your lights and their friendly staff will promptly be out to you. One thing to note about Swensons: one method of payment per vehicle. In other words, one check per car. Always check out the seasonal Shakes and sandwich of the month on display around the building. The current seasonal shake flavor is the Oatmeal Cream Pie Shake! I love Oatmeal Cream Pies and was thrilled to try it. It had a unique flavor for sure similar to oatmeal raisin cookies (yes, there are some raisins in the shake too). My go-to burger at Swensons is the double cheeseburg with ketchup and mayo. Always delicious . The fried zucchini is finely sliced, breaded and fried. Don't forget to get a side of ranch for 70 cents! Guess what yall?!? Swensons now has a reward program attached to their regular Swensons app!
