Litter everywhere, food smeared all over every flat surface, trash over flowing in all the bins and my flip flops are sticking to floor with every step. No one is here... not one person sitting and only two people at counter and I'm one of them. Why is an empty fast food store this dirty? I'm afraid the eat here now. This is one of the few restaurants open late in Goose Creek. We arrived in the drive thru about 10:45, didn't leave the drive thru until almost 11:45. They attempted to give our order, I'm guessing it was our order to the customer in front of us. We overheard her say, I'm not checking in the bag in someone else's food, you guys work here. And then they were laughing & laughing at how upset she was. Most of the people behind us drove off. We would have driven off too, but we were hungry and had been waiting so long already. As we are waiting for our food, there were literally like 6 employees just standing near the window, doing absolutely NOTHING! So, it wasn't an issue of being understaffed. We had ordered 2 large Frostys. They tried giving us smalls, then got an attitude. When we got home and looked at our food, I was disgusted!!! And because we had to wait so long, the Frostys were completely melted. I tried calling to complain, but no one answered the phone! I would go online, but they didn't give us a receipt. The lady said they were out of receipt tape. I won't ever go back to that location, that's for sure ! If you know that you are like the ONLY fast food restaurant in the area that is open late, why wouldn't you have staff that wants to be there and cares about the service of your company? Credit where credit is due, when Hurricane Florence was in route and up until the day she arrived -- this location reminded open. Trust me, I know -- I was held up next door at the Quality in for nine days, six days prior and three days after. Although business was mainly conducted via drive thru, most all other businesses were boarded up and shut down. The Daves Double was a bit pricey at eight dollars, with French fries and nothing to drink it seemed to be very expensive. The chili was mostly what I ordered, filling my refrigerator with seven of the large size and I consumed each and every one. The extra stars are assigned to the manager who opened the door for me when I was initially told "drive thru only mister" by an employee. He came from the back to open up and take all of my orders personally. A Very kind and very good fellow that certainly deserves this special mention. read more

Wendy's on Red Bank Road in Goose Creek is a well managed and operated Wendy's location that has quality food. I like their burgers, sandwiches, and fries here as the are delicious and well made. After waiting in a line wrapped around the building for 15 minutes, I decided to place a Mobile order at 7:07. I walked out at 7:27. The manager, an older, short African American guy with glasses, was super rude! The guy at the front was lost, playing with orders, kept wiping his nose in his shirt and rubbing his hands in his pants. Visibly, there was a large cup of lemonade that a worker was drinking from on the front counter. The fry station cook became irritated when I said the fry oil needed to be changed, and it did! No one wore name tags, so I can't call names. Back to the manager, the younger guy up front (nose wiper) stated that restaurant was out of "chicken", which he meant crispy chicken patties. I asked for a refund and the manager intervenes by saying he doesn't know how I am getting a refund from a mobile order, but I can't get one from the restaurant. So, I'm left standing there trying to figure things out, then I see chicken Pattie's coming out of the fryer and sandwiches being made, so I question it and am told that what I saw was "classic chicken" and I ordered crispy chicken. You would think it would be ok to give a customer the classics and deal with it on the administrative end, then maybe adjust your mobile menu so you don't run into that problem again, but it wasn't until I threatened with writing a review that this took place - well at least me getting the chicken sandwiches. This restaurant had at least 7 people working (in slow motion) behind that counter. The fry station had fries in boxes stacked up, as well as the nuggets. Though they were stacked under the heat lamp, news flash - they get cold and stale quickly! When my nuggets and fries were finally bagged, they were stale. The fry oil tasted very old, which I mentioned, but the fry station guy was a little irritated and said the fries just came up. Listen: I worked Wendy's, proudly, the last 2 years of high school. What I saw today was poor training from everyone. The restaurant was way too busy and way to many people were working for production to be that slow. It did not seem sanitary, either; especially with the nose wiping in the shirt, but the entire system of bagging was just disgusting. Several people handling the food and looking in the bags with their entire face. It was senseless. Needless to say, not only will I never return to this location, I also walked out without my nuggets. After the nuggets sat under the heat lamp for the entire 20+ minutes that I waited, I asked for fresh nuggets. In the confusion of things, I left. When I worked at Wendy's, no more than 60 seconds was the limit we were given to get a customer in and out of the drive-thru. My favorite Wendys is on Northwoods Blvd. Only came here cos it's the closest one to my mom's house in the creek and she wanted me to get her some of their good chili. Decided to give the advertised pretzel burger a second chance for lunch...another fail.. the bun has no pretzel taste...if u want to taste pretzel in a bun get the pretzel dog at Sonics drive in. The only thing that gave this thick bun any flavor is the bacon on the burger and cheese. drive-through service friendly and fast enough can recall past days when the cheese on the cheeseburger would never be melted so since it was melted today signals a slight improvement for this joint in a crappy location to enter and exit. read more

They obviously cannot tell the difference between a Caesar salad and a regular salad. This is twice that I have been to this location and ordered a Caesar salad and they have handed me a house salad. Well I went back to get it exchanged and after waiting 10 minutes they still gave me the same lettuce, iceberg lettuce not Romain, all they did after this 10 minutes of waiting was add Parmesan cheese onto my house salad! The line moved quickly and the employee who took my order was very patient and asked all the right questions in order to determine that my order was customized to my liking. So I travel for work. Rather than eating microwave meals all the time, I eat out more often than not. I have been to this Wendy's restaurant several times. Why? Because it isn't busy, they are friendly and respectful and their food is hot and tasty. Each time I have ordered there the person behind the counter, Juahl, has been extremely nice and helpful. Attentive and professional. Such a nice change from other fast food joints in the same area. I always get the same thing, Dave's double with cheese, small fries, small drink, small chocolate Frosty. And each time it is served fast, hot and nicely done. The restrooms are clean and the dining area is well maintained as well. Getting into the parking lot is a little tricky. Better to go around the block than to try and do a "U" turn. I use this facility because the other one that is close, near the Walmart, is always busy and although the food is as good, the wait is way longer. Very well done to the leadership of this Wendy's restaurant for hiring and keeping such terrific employees. read more
