    Waited in drive through 20 minutes just to get the wrong order, missing sauce, and a very noticeable hair in my food. I would've preferred to wait an extra 10 minutes for my correct, hairless order. One star because (I have to and because) the fries were good.

    I have never left a review for a place before i went here. My boyfriend and I came here to get some food, I got a biggie bag with spicy nuggets. The nuggets were hard as rocks, they seem as if they have been sitting out for days. The small fry came with hardly any fries in the container. We also waited in the drive through for about 15-20 minutes just for our food to come out cold. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. The food is terrible and it is a waste of money. If i could give this place 0 stars I absolutely would.

Mind you, two other cars had ordered and moved to the window from the second lane before we moved over into it. Once we got into the second lane, nothing was said to us at all. Instead, now someone was taking the car sitting in the first lanes order and we sat in the second lane, in silence, for another 10 mins. We ultimately decided to just pull up to the window and tell them our orders and let them know that no one serviced us at all in the second lane. The employee claimed that she was saying "hello" the whole time as if we were ignoring her, but there was literally no sound come from the ordering board speaker at all! After we place our order at the pick up window, we were told to go park on the side of the building where we waited almost 30 mins! We went inside to check on our order status and learned that no one had fixed our order at all??? Once we did finally get our food, yes it was freshly made and hot, but I had no appetite for it at all anymore. Service was HORRIBLE! My overall rate of experience : 0/10

On 2/25 at approximately 4:00 PM, I visited this location and experienced some of the worst customer service I've encountered. To the franchise owner, your staff needs some training. I ordered a large-sized chicken fingers and shrimp meal along with a large chilled lemonade and paid the upcharge for the larger size. What I received with the lemonade was a cup completely filled with ice from the bottom all the way to the lid (the ice was literally touching the cap) with barely any lemonade inside. The actual liquid wouldn't have even filled an 8 oz cup. When I brought this to the manager's attention, she immediately dismissed me and stated there are "no refills." That was not my issue. My concern was that I paid for a large lemonade and did not receive a large amount of lemonade. Instead, I was given a cup of ice with a splash of liquid. She then stated that it is "policy" to fill the cup entirely with ice. If that is truly the policy, then this is false advertising and completely misleading to customers. Charging an upcharge for a large size while delivering the same minimal amount of beverage hidden under excessive ice is deceptive. A large should mean more product, not more ice. On top of this, the food was terrible. The chicken fingers were overcooked, the fries were cold and filled with salt, i mean i could have made 2 salt packets from the salt under the fries, and of course the drink issue. The manager was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. Customer service was deplorable. My intent in writing this review is to ensure that a spotlight is placed on the young lady who identified herself as the manager. Either corrective training needs to occur immediately, or she should be removed from a customer-facing management role. This type of behavior is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the entire establishment. Because of the rudeness, the misleading large upcharge, and what appears to be false advertising, I will be disputing this charge with my credit card company. I will not be returning to this location.

Mia Culpa…read more About three weeks ago my hubby and I decided to check out the renovations that were recently finished in this particular McDonalds at 1927 W. Franklin Blvd in Gastonia, NC. We were especially interested in seeing what the new kiosk machines looked like as well as finding out how easy they were to use (or not), especially for older people who might not be too 'computer literate'. :) We found that the kiosks were basically very easy to understand and use, and the Menu words and pictures are definitely large enough to see. Also, figuring out how to order a single item versus a meal, and something small, medium, or large wasn't hard at all. These kiosks are very similar to using a cell phone in that you can move a 'page' up or down with your finger if you can't see everything posted on that particular 'page'. You can pay by debit card/credit card at the kiosk or you can pay cash at the register (with a real person manning it!). The only thing I don't know is how to get your sandwich WITHOUT something on it...like pickles or mustard. But then, we didn't order anything that needed something kept off of it. Thankfully, though, there seems to be one or two employees stationed by the kiosks for your "questioning pleasure". (They also tend to the tables/floors, keeping everything neat and clean.) Now to the food we received: We ordered a Double Quarter Pounder w/cheese meal and a Fish filet meal. Both meals...meat, fish, fries...were cooked just fine. The Sweet Tea was a bit overpowering in the 'sweet' department', though. They could easily cut the sugar down by a third of what they're now putting in and it'd still be sweet...just not "teeth-curling" sweet as it was, yesterday. Also, the tea tasted 'old' as though it had come from the bottom of a pot or pitcher. Also, it seems the employees may have forgotten that their soda machine doesn't make its own ice but, instead, has to be manually filled by an employee just like the Sweet Tea 'pot' which also has to be filled manually. BOTH WERE EMPTY WHEN WE ATTEMPTED TO FILL OUR DRINK CUPS RIGHT AFTER ORDERING AND BEFORE SITTING DOWN...(Thankfully, one of the employees stationed by the kiosks got our ice tea and ice water.) AND THEY REMAINED EMPTY WHILE WE ATE OUR FOOD THERE, CURIOUSLY WONDERING JUST WHEN SOMEONE WOULD COME OUT FROM IN BACK AND REFILL THESE TWO ITEMS. NOPE...NEVER SAW ANYONE REFILL THE ICE, THE SWEET TEA OR, FOR THAT MATTER, ANYTHING ELSE. Overall, this McDonalds is still basically like all the others except that this one now uses kiosks for food ordering. Oh...and upon entering this building, WATCH YOUR STEP! The floor was being washed at the entrance AND NO "WET FLOOR" SIGN WAS PUT OUT! Yet, I observed that the closet where these signs are stored had its door wide open...with several "Wet Floor" signs leaning against the back wall area. In fact, just about the entire area where customers walk to get to a kiosk or the register was very wet! (Thankfully, I was looking down and caught myself as I started to slide!) True, it's possible that this No-Wet-Floor-Sign situation was a one-time occurrence but then, it only takes one time for someone to slip, fall, and SUE. THE EMPLOYEES AT THIS MCDONALDS NEED TO BE TRAINED THAT "NO SIGNS WARNING THE PUBLIC OF FLOORS BEING WET MEANS LAWSUITS IF A PERSON SLIPS AND FALLS!"...and that employees could possibly be sued, too.
