It is in a historic house that is so gorgeous and charming. Let me tell you it far exceeded our expectations. The service was great. Our server knew the menu well and gave excellent recommendations. The owner even popped in for some conversation and was extremely nice. All of that would have made us come back, but the food was *chef's kiss* soooo good! My husband got the meatloaf and I got the crab cakes. We also got fried green tomatoes for an appetizer and took home dessert- peanut butter pie and banana pudding. The food was obviously using excellent, fresh ingredients and there was so much care and thought put into the pairings of flavors and textures with each dish. The general Tso's brussels sprouts blew my mind. Each side and main was a work of art itself. When I took my first bite of the collard greens I was transported to my Grannie's kitchen. They somehow manage to completely nail Southern staples and also throw in some creative twists here and there as well.
