This is a nice and clean Wendy's. The bathroom is clean and large/accessible. They have multiple large TVs that are usually on, but not always. The food is standard wendys quality, but served much faster than other wendys I visit, which is a huge bonus. The staff is friendly, polite & patient with special requests. Only real negatives are the Coca Cola freestyle machines which are often out of brands and flavors. This is an issue at most fast food spots that have these machines. I would imagine the are tough to maintain and keep stocked. Also there seems to a free wifi but I've never been able to connect to it. Overall I'd say I recommend this wendys over many others in the state so if you are in the area don't let your opinion of other wendys denture you from trying this one. They were really really slow and we only got 1 combo and 2 of the 6 piece nuggets. The fries were lukewarm which was extra annoying because after the wait I kind of expected them to be hot out of the pit, and the sauce for the nuggets was wrong. If it had been a large order or they were super fast then it would be annoying, but not as big of a deal. It was a small order and a very long wait, so how did you manage to mess it up? I decided to try the Bourbon Bacon Cheeseburger and was not a fan at all. The sauce was kind of gross and the "crispy onions" were not very crispy or hot. I haven't been to Wendy's in years, but sometimes you just have a "calling", in a fast food, religious kind of way. There it is, right off Exit 7, at the beginning of the Center of New England stores, just waiting for people to go in for their fast food experience. Sadly, it's slower than slow. Please explain to me - anyone, seriously explain - why about 11 people are standing around the kitchen while one person is at the register? Okay, so I have been into this Wendy's before about 2 years ago. I was so impressed I had not been back. However, this past weekend I was really, really hungry so we stopped in. I really had no expectations. I will say I was pleasantly surprised. The place seems to have gone through a good interior scrubbing and the staff, at least on the day shift, were all really engaged and happy to serve. I recall the last time I was there they made you feel as though you were interrupting their break. The food was also really good. We went from Kids meal, to salad to chicken sandwich. Salads were great (so they tell me), the little one lived the kids meal and the Chicken was hot & fresh. Anyway, I will say if you are in the neighborhood, there is no need to cross the street to the golden arches IF you are in the mood for a good burger. Oh, I must add, the new fries. I can't believe this place. After a little shopping in the plaza I stopped by with my mom for a quick dinner. Yes it's fast food but there is still a corporate expectation. This place was dirty!!! I'm being generous giving them two stars, instead of one. Drive up service is very slow. They clearly have staffing issues. It's not a good sign when the 'manager,' basically a kid herself, had to ask her staff multiple times where to find certain items. I could hear two young male employees having a casual conversation, more focused on things other than their job. Cashier at the window had a deer-in-the-headlights look. From what I could observe from the drive-up, the crew was NOT a well-oiled machine. The manager handed me my food with a forced smile, probably stress induced. Food was equally lame, especially the soggy fries. My burger had some dark spots on the bottom of the bun (not mold, but not sure what else it was). It filled me up, at the expense of a queasy stomach; let's just hope that's the worst of my gastro distress, or I will have to downgrade accordingly. Extremely slow service, especially drive-thru. Burgers taste good, especially the spicy chicken one. The fries, though are always soggy and cold. The coke is always watered down, but is better than their sprite, which tastes like. carbonated tap water with some sugar. The location is convenient, but that's pretty much all.
