Coming to New Zealand, I didn't anticipate on having a burger at all, but I was so hungry and didn't know my way around Newmarket, I think coming here was actually fate. I cannot tell you how fantastic the Lamb Burger was--the meat was so tender, the burger literally melted in my mouth. I'm not much of a beetroot eater (and I'm told this is a common topping in Australian and New Zealand burgers), but it was different in a good way. It came as no surprise to learn that it was under new management as the standard I had come to expect just wasn't there. I'm hoping it's just teething problems and that soon The Roast House will be back up to its old standard, but for now, I'll be staying clear.
