We visited this dental clinic for the first time, my five-year-old child was scared and resisted so she screamed, which was considered inappropriate by Dr. Lu, so the doctor held her face and yelled at least 2 To 3 times: You can't do this! It's awful! This is completely different from the online comments that Dr. Lu is patient with children, and it actually happened. read more

My family had been going to Dr Lu for over a decade, but in the past two years we've noticed significant and worrying decline in the quality of dental fillings, and had to switch to a different practice. During my last procedure at Wendy Lu's, the filling took three times as long as it needed to take because Dr. Lu refused to administer the proper dosage of anesthetic, administering only one-third amount of the dose at a time and only increasing it after I made it very clear that I was in pain. She also became very passive aggressive and insulting after I informed her that I was still feeling significant pain during the procedure, and suggested in a highly patronizing tone that I was acting like a child and exaggerating my pain. The experience left me extremely disappointed with both her stinginess and unprofessional attitude. It appears that Dr. Lu not only attempted to cut corners with my procedure, but also treated me rudely after I dared to question her authority. However, I have yet to get to the most outrageous part: a month after I had the filling done, it fell out while I was flossing. The situation was even more dire with my father: he had the same filling fall out THREE times, two of which occurred on the SAME DAY the filling was re-done. Since switching to a different dental practice about a year ago, I have NEVER had a problem with anesthesia/pain during the procedure, and my father and I have not had any issues with fillings falling out. read more

I've been going to this office for a couple of years now and I have to say that Maria is one of the best hygienists I've been to. She is very thorough and I never feel rushed. This is really important to me since my last dentist took less than 15 minutes each visit to clean my entire mouth. Dr. Lu is really nice too but most of my time has been spent with Maria since she handles my cleaning. read more

Aw It's a shame that I moved away from the area but she was my favorite dentist that I've tried from the area. I come back once in a while when I can to have my cleanings done. The team is very gentle with the cleaning and I never felt a gag reflex to throw up here before unlike at some other dentists when the dentists hands were too big for my mouth to handle and pry and force their way in to reach the back teeth. The equipment is very up to date and more improved upon every visit. I believe they have EMR now! It's amusing that they play movies for you while you have your teeth being cleaned. I so happen to watch Finding Nemo there everytime I had my teeth cleaned or maybe it's always running haha. My family has been coming to her clinic for several years now and they are more loyal than I am to show up when she sends those reminder postcards. You always get a goody bag to take home from her place with toothbrush, toothpaste and floss! Oh they even send you magnetized calendars for your fridge too sometimes :) read more

My family & I have been very happy with Dr. Wendy Lu & her staff. We were referred to her by a friend and I have, in the past 2 years, referred several of my friends to Dr. Lu. The staff is friendly and prompt. I've never had an issue with scheduling and wait time. I appreciated Dr. Lu's advice and trust her judgements. Nothing but great things to say! read more

I had a filling fall out, and she did a very good job replacing it. Years, later, it is still solid. Recommended. read more

I've been looking for a new dentist for the longest time and I was recommended to Dr. Lu from a friend. With my work schedule, I'm not available to come on the weekdays for appointments, they are open late on Saturdays and are pretty flexible with your schedule. My previous dentist, he had been my dentist for my whole life. I would not really know what was going on with my teeth even when I asked. I always left confused. All I knew was I was getting a cleaning and maybe a couple of fillings. My experience here at this office, Dr. Lu and her dental hygienist, Ping is her name I believe, were very thorough and explained everything that they did, before they did it. Turns out, all I needed was a cleaning. The dental hygienist was very gentle and I felt like I knew what was going on and was taken care of very well. I left the office with the best dental care experience I've ever had in my life. I may sound a little dramatic but my previous dentist was horrible and now I have confirmed how horrible he was. read more

I've been Dr. Lu's patient for over 13 years, and my children prefer her to their pediatric dentist when they were little. The care is professional and excellent. Maria is the dental hygienist we see regularly, and she is amazing with teeth cleaning, knowing how to deal with teeth sensitivity and TMJ. We've trusted Dr. Lu with getting night guards, gingivitis care, and referring excellent orthodontists and oral surgeons for pulling wisdom teeth as well. We trust Dr. Lu fully with our entire family's dental care! read more

I don't know who this jj i. is, but the comments in that review are the opposite of anything I've ever experienced at Dr. Wendy Lu's office. The people at her front desk are always warm and polite. The communication between the dentists and the front desk is excellent. I and my family have been seeing Dr. Lu for almost a decade, and we've been very happy with her service. We have referred many friends, and they have become her longterm patients. Dr. Lu and her staff are always friendly, considerate, and professional. She is highly recommended. read more

Dr. Lu has done a great professional job in teeth bonding and resin composite filling for me. Her hygienist cleaned my teeth thoroughly. The assistants are well trained and the front desk staffs are friendly. I am glad that my neighbor referred me to her. read more

Dr. Wendy Lu specializes in tooth cleaning procedure. Being a female she's very gentle and the patient usually feel quite comfortable. In that sense she does a great job. However, when it comes to cavity filling and root canal she's not technically competent. Even some very simple procedure can have subsequent problem and takes several follow ups to fix. Some problems she tries to fix herself and some has to be fixed by some other dentist. In that sense, she's not qualified as a dentist. read more

The front staff isn't the friendliest and kind of makes me feel uncomfortable. The language barrier seems to be a huge problem and they seem to be bias towards me maybe because I am Indian. The dentist used to be nice to me but now she is blatantly rude to me and gives off an attitude vibe and doesnt explain anything going on and just bosses the hygienist around and leaves. Also the dentist once was giving me a filling and scraped inside my inner cheek and made it bleed. This place seriously makes me hate going to the dentist. If you want quality dental care where you feel at least pleasant to go to the dentist....then avoid this place at all cost!!!!! read more

The office has a clean and comfortable environment. The staff was friendly. I came in and got an exam and cleaning done. I was helped by the hygienist, and she was very caring and personable. Overall, it was a good experience. Highly recommended! read more

Very helpful dentist and staff, friendly atmosphere, and now a brand new office! I love it here! Maria did my cleaning and she is just amazing, she will do whatever it takes to make your teeth shine! I had some stuff stuck in the back molar and she was in there for a good 4-5 minutes just trying to take it out!!! The doctors are amazing, they don't just care about your teeth, they care about YOU. I felt at home when I came here, everyone is very nice, the front desk is so friendly, and the back staff is very helpful and friendly too. Everyone should try this office. read more

I was so impress with her professional service and her generous help in taking care of my emergency tooth pain I highly recommend Wendy vi and her staff read more

Great experience here. When I moved to CA I had a hard time transitioning from my hometown dentist. I tried one dentist in San Jose and felt the service and trustworthiness to be well below my expectations, then I found Wendy and her office. I have had two cleanings and the last one was the best cleaning I have ever had. They really took their time to clean an polish my teeth to perfection and gave me some advice on how to better brush and floss. Very impressed by the quality of work, quality of advice and the trustworthiness of the staff. I would recommend this office to anyone looking for great dentist. read more

Had a couple of root canal done. Thought job was done ok first. But edge of crowns were sticking into my gum and all of them needed to be replaced later on. I even needed deep cleaning cuz edge of the crown were buried in my gum. The bad thing is doctor thinks she is doing nothing wrong. Hope this will make her realize triple check the job she will do ongoing forward. read more
