I found it to be a bright spot of my visit to Oxford. Parking is off street by meter. Local vendors had everything to flowers, plants, bakery items and even custom made jewelry. The market is dog friendly on a leash and there were a lot of them enjoying the vibrant atmosphere. If I'm in Oxford on a Saturday morning find me at the Farmers Market in Uptown by the city square.

You might find rabbits, goats, cats, dogs, chickens, ducks, pigs, peacocks, and who knows what. Today they had duck eggs for sale by the dozen and that's the first time I have seen that! I bought a case of asparagus for $3.00, a case of tomatoes for $10.00, a huge bag (50)lbs of sweet onions for $20.00. I bought some miscellaneous items too. You just never know what you might find. It is so much fun and being out in the country without all of the junk in the air is good for your lungs which is also good for your heart. Bring a cart or a wagon, (if you're like me) and remember those neighbors and friends and family members when you see those great buys. I love sharing the big bags of fruits and vegetables. They adopted a dog in February the dog bit someone on Wednesday they were told to put the dog in quarantine for 10 days! We contacted them and told them that we would come and get the dog. The husband decided to shoot the dog then decapitate him!!! He then call the health department and told them to come and get his head!!! This dog never ever had an issue. He was supposed to be at the today to get checked out to see what could have been going on with him!
