When we pulled up, there was a quartet of sorts playing bluegrass. A table out front had an accopanying dog sitting quietly next to his bowl of water. All the doors to the barn were open, and I was absolutely delighted with the crowd, the market, the bar, and the food truck. The view out the back isn't bad, either. We enjoyed a cocktail - bourbon and fresh made lemonade - chicken tacos, and the biscuits and gravy. Afterall, we were there for the Sunday Biscuits and Bluegrass open event! It's such a charming, laid-back place. I will definitely be back when I have friends in from out of town.

I found it to be a bright spot of my visit to Oxford. Parking is off street by meter. Local vendors had everything to flowers, plants, bakery items and even custom made jewelry. The market is dog friendly on a leash and there were a lot of them enjoying the vibrant atmosphere. If I'm in Oxford on a Saturday morning find me at the Farmers Market in Uptown by the city square.

They have great produce in one section by the parking. Great variety of stores. I do like the outdoor tables as well. The cons I will say about the Findlay Market are the parking. You are expected to download an app and pay for parking that way instead of just getting a QR code that will redirect you and put in your payment information and the other con is once you leave the Farmers Market there really isn't much to really see or do since it's kind of blighted from a 1 block radius of leaving the market

I ventured out Saturday morning to the Batesville Farmers Market and I was surprised to find so…read moremany vendors set up and ready to go at opening at 8 in the morning. I was in search of fresh, farm grown, vegetables and found plenty here. As I walked around the market all of the vendors were very friendly and helpful as they eagerly described the items that they had for sale. I ended up leaving the market with green beans, corn on the cob, zucchini, kohlrabi, beets, red potatoes, and tomatoes. All of these goodies will last us through the week. I have never tried kohlrabi but the farmer that had it said they just peel the green off and slice it put a little salt on it and eat it so I thought I would give it a try! The fresh flowers and arrangements were absolutely beautiful as were so many items found in the local craftsmamen's booths. I will probably be right back here next weekend. Come out and give it a walkthrough. Not to mention that there is a local bakery next door that I haven't tried yet

Plus Taste of Belgium, Colonel D's Herbs and Spices, butcher shop, vinegar and olive oils, an Italian store where they will make pasta...whoa! Can hardly wait. We started our Sat morning off there with a free yoga class in the market. After our fun flow session, we received a free drink ticket so we headed over for a drink. I had a regional (IN) white wine and my fiend had a local Oktoberfest beer. Refreshing! Loads of vendors from food to pumpkins all at reasonable prices. We bought some delicious Greek products after sampling their wares. Gluten-free yellow squash pizza crusts from White Oak Valley Farm were also purchased after tasting. The Market is large enough to have a nice array of products but small enough to cover in an hour or so while tasting and shopping your way around. My understanding is that they offer some sort of exercise class free at all/most of the markets dates. I was told it's not always yoga though. Only drawback is the lack of parking which may have been harder this month due to the coincidence with Harvest Homecoming.

I bought the most delicious strawberries ever from Lobenstien Farms. Flavor was amazing. I also bought the best spring honey. Lovely floral taste. There were two farm raised meat vendors. Fresh whole milk! They are open every Thursday but some vendors are there every other week or even once a months. Can't wait for next Thursday.
