Our children have been patients at two of the "top-rated" pediatricians as we've moved over the years--and this is the only practice where you're truly treated as a person, not just a number. If you're looking for speed and convenience, you can always go to an assembly-line pediatrician. But if you want a true care team--literally two doctors who will know your children by name, provide thoughtful and individualized treatment, and actually keep you informed--this is the place for you. When I first called, Anastasia let me know they're a smaller practice. So yes, I may wait on hold for a couple minutes while they're helping another patient--but I'll take that any day over the rushed, impersonal care we've experienced elsewhere. At the other offices, they'd order multiple bacterial infection tests based only on symptoms I described over the phone--without even seeing my children. That's not care--that's just billing insurance as quickly as possible. Sky Valley is the complete opposite. Here, they take the time to listen, assess thoughtfully, and treat your family like their own.

After a proper, thorough examination, the doctor there found that it was not a skin tag at all--it was a large, live tick that had been embedded in my neck for weeks. They removed it immediately.Because Abu Sheriff failed to perform a basic, careful examination, I carried a live tick for days longer than necessary. I have now officially tested positive and been diagnosed with Lyme disease as a direct result of this delayed removal and severe oversight.I have full medical documentation, photographs, and records from Patient First proving this negligence. I was not informed during the appointment that this could result in an additional charge. After reviewing my visit documentation, I also felt portions of the note did not fully reflect my understanding of the visit, particularly regarding the extent of evaluation performed beyond the wellness exam. After raising concerns and providing supporting documentation, the office acknowledged overlap between the preventive visit and additional billing and indicated the matter would be reviewed. She is the BEST DOCTOR I've ever had and that is saying a lot because I have a couple of chronic conditions and have seen literally more than 200 doctors! She listens patiently, discusses your illness or disease and its likely course, then discusses the options with you. With me, I feel like I go in to see her, tell how I feel and what my symptoms are, she asks a few clarifying questions and exams me, then she tells me what's wrong and discusses with me how to make it feel better and get better. She is willing to change directions when something is not working and she is also willing to "try it your way" when you come in with thoughts and ideas for a treatment plan that you want to try (as long as it it safe), even if it is not the approach that she would normally advise. She will tell you when you need more advanced or specialized care than she can provide in her office and will refer you to an appropriate specialist. She is always open and honest with her patients. Her office staff are all professional, efficient, and kind. I highly recommend her! If she is not available, Dr. Kurtis Elward, another doctor in that same practice, is also very good.
