I have been a patient here for 2.5 years, but I'm leaving because I've been without my medication for a full month due to administrative neglect. They haven't "ignored" me in the literal sense, but they make no real effort to actually connect. I get callbacks at 4:50 PM, but the phones are already off when I call back two minutes later. They don't leave informative voicemails and they don't respond to the portal. The most ridiculous part is that I actually paid for an appointment with the NP just to get a message through to the staff. Even after paying for that visit, it has been three business days and the issue is still not resolved. They took my payment for an appointment and still haven't lifted a finger to fix the medication lapse. If you are a busy person who expects a basic level of professional follow-through, look elsewhere. read more

I really can't say enough about the care I have received from the entire staff at Cardinal Internal Medicine's Stafford, VA, office. I have been a patient here since the summer of 2019, and I have always been treated with the utmost respect and kindness. I suffer from anxiety before and during doctor appointments due to previous trauma, but the staff never makes me feel even the slightest discomfort. The Cardinal Internal Medicine Doctors and their staff are incredible!! The staff is so helpful and friendly. I started getting my Botox done from Dr. Farough and Dr. Moussavi years ago and now I will never go anywhere else. These Doctors do not age so I will continue to seek their medical advice . Also, It is rare to find Doctors that combine outstanding quality of medical care with a personal touch they make you feel like family here. I've been a patient of Dr. Nazanin Alemzadeh since the late 90s (we lived in Woodbridge) and was thrilled that she and her team opened an office in Stafford (we moved here in 2002). My husband and sons also see Dr. Amir Alemzadeh and Dr. Mousavi. Now, must admit, I left the practice about 3 years ago because of my work/home schedule and found a holistic doc in the area. When Dr Alemzadeh started one day a week in Stafford - I made my appointment for January 2nd! Great start to the new year. I highly recommend this team of doctors, they have great bed - side manners, are professional, and I never feel rushed. Quest Diagnostics (blood work) is conveniently located in the same building. I went to see Sohail Moussavi after i saw that he was close by and had pretty good reviews online. I have internal medicine doctor that i love, but i was chronically ill for 2 years with no diagnosis at the time, so i decided to try a set of fresh eyes, hoping that he might have an idea of what was going on. I had recently had 3 kidney/liver panels that came back with concerning results. Sohail Moussavi treated me like trash. He was cruel, condescending and the way that he medically gaslighted me was appalling. He actually reduced me to tears in his office and was unapologetic about it. He told me that i had urine and blood in my protein because i didn't eat enough meat (he claimed that if i ate a pile of meat i would get better) and he refused to test me further. Fast forward 6 months- I am now diagnosed with liver disease, kidney failure, pernicious anemia, AFIB, CVID. I am seeing a neurologist for suspected MS as well. RUN RUN RUN. This doctor and his staff is appalling. I knew what my labs meant but this guy with his medical training was absolutely clueless and unwilling to listen to a super sick patient. I don't pay tens of thousands of dollars to grown a*ss adults who refuse to do their jobs. He needs to go into a new profession before he kills someone. read more

A year ago, My father-in-law went in for a routine check-up and concerns about a swollen lymph node in his neck. Dr. Alemzadeh sent him immediately for a scan of the mass & sure enough, turned out to be cancerous. He then recommended specialists in the area & his amazing office staff helped us book appointments. The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.. for my father-in-law, the one step was going to cardinal internal medicine. My family is so thankful for the doctors at cardinal internal medicine being thorough, imagine if the swelling was overlooked.. I would recommend this practice to anyone and everyone. I started coming to see Dr. Amir Alemzadeh last year. I have not been disappointed yet. He is very attentive and concerned for his patients. He noticed the growth in my neck as I was leaving his office and sent me to have it checked out and as it turns out I had thyroid cancer. I will be always grateful for him going that extra step to look at me. I've also seen his sister Dr. Nazanin Alemzadeh as well. She is very caring and explains everything. They both compliment each other. The ladies in the office are very nice and always helpful in getting appointments. I was able to visit the Woodbrige office as well and the group there are just as nice. A wonderful team. As much as I hate going to the doctor I love going to see the both of them. I love Cardinal Internal Medicine. I have a chronic disease that requires a great deal of care. Dr. Farough is the most amazing doctor ever! She is the type of Doctor that actually listens to the patient, and is not afraid to educate herself if she doesn't know something. I have seen so many doctors in the past that are unteachable! This is an astoundingly incompetent clinic, and they claim to have been in business for years, but to say their expertise is lacking in an understatement. When I sought internal medicine from this office, I was completely denied since Dr. Moussavi clearly has a problem interpreting and analyzing basic laboratory data. If I were a complete layman, I wouldn't have thought for a second this physician was lying to me or maybe he doesn't know what the hell he's doing (and the latter seems to be the case). I was a patient of Dr. A. Farough and when first enrolled there thought that it was a good place to get my primary care. After just a few visits there I quickly realized that Dr. Farough is not a very compassionate or understanding physician especially in treating male patients. During a recent visit she refused to provide a medicine I've used for over 10 years and did actually receive one prescription from her for the same medication but when I needed a refill she informed me that I shouldn't be on the medication and I reminded her that she actually gave it to me. It was a medication for anxiety, she made me feel as though I was there seeking medication to abuse and told me to see a psychiatrist. I have never been so embarrassed in my entire life by a doctor who didn't care to even examine me for any ailment that I presented her with. Don't waste your time or money seeking good treatment from Dr. Farough you may not get what you need. read more

I have been going to Cardinal Internal Medicine for about 2 years and seeing Dr. Nazanin Alemzadeh. My appointments with her were ok. I really didn't get a good vibe from here. The front desk is so unorganized and new/different nurses every time I go in to the office. The nurse or receptionist call me to give me my lab results and could not answer any of my questions...stated that she did not know. This is so unprofessional...then why call if you can't answer simple question about the labs you called me to go over. I will be switching doctors for sure. read more
