We stayed here for about four nights on a summer trip to Oban and the western islands of Scotland in 2009. We came without ANY plans, (from the United States), and found this Bed and Breakfast just by driving down the main street of Oban. It's a lovely place, run by a very nice couple (with a sweet old dog). It's medium-priced -- not super cheap, but not super expensive, either, given the nice rooms (some with gorgeous views of the sea) and the full Scottish breakfast, cooked to order (when I say, full, I mean full -- not something we are used to in the States ... we often got by on an apple for lunch, because the breakfast was so filling!). Wellpark is an attractive old house that is is quiet and sits right on the bay. You can walk from the hotel into to town and to the ferries to the islands in a about 10 minutes, or just walk across the street and down to the beach in the evenings for a peaceful walk. The service was warm and very efficient. We really loved this place and hope to return someday. read more
