Dollar Tree had packing tape, Walgreens had one measly box, and yet I still needed bubble wrap. Well, as it turns out this CVS was close to both and not only had bubble wrap, but there were bubble wrap size options, plus boxes and packing tape. I really wish I'd have gone there first. It'd have saved me having to run around town.

Back in the day, Boston Butt, I believe, was consider at the bottom of the barrel, it was cheaper than other cuts of pork because it was scraps of meat and fat but it sure was tasty and tender.. I went to one Publix, couldn't find a Boston butt or anything called Boston butt. So I went to the another Publix, the one on Capitol Circle East in Tallahassee. I found three packages called Bost Butt. Boston Butts are usually distinquished by the fact it is tied together by string. So I looked at each of the packages and choose the medium sized one. It had a lot of fat and meat interspersed, usually a good sign in determining if you have an actual Boston Butt. After wrapping it in the usual tin foil , well seasoned, I smoked it for several hours. Sadly, no, angrily, I discovered that Publix's definition of a Boston Butt has slipped badly. Or maybe it was the butcher packaging the meat. Or maybe, worse, and what I actually suspect, Publix has decided to milk every dang penny out of all meat and fat they have. The so-called Boston Butt was a mix of god knows what scraps of pork they had lying around. Some of the meat was the type of tender fatty meat you'd expect in a Boston butt. But a lot of the meat was dark, light, apparently coming from other pieces of pork they sell. After all the meat was cooked, I had to cut it with a sharp knife like it was a picnic roast or something. This being about the third time Ive gotten scrap pork meat tied together and not resembling a decent Boston butt in texture and quality, I will no longer buy pork from Publix. I quit buying steaks from Publix years ago and about the only meat I buy anymore is ground chuck for burgers. Sadly, Im going to hit the local meat market in the future or Winn Dixie and Piggly Wiggly. Publix corporate offices can eat their junk product called Boston Butt.

Every employee has been outstanding with their hospitality and asking if they can help each time. Their pharmacy with Jennifer is always trying to assist and is absolutely remarkable. I received the flu shot today and is was absolutely perfect by the pharmacy staff. They really know how to run a business.

Had a staff…read moremember lose my credit card, threw a fit (cursing and threatening to quit), then announced she was going home and LEFT. I met with the store manager who went into the pharmacy and found it on a stack of papers. No other pharmacy staff was interested in helping. The manager was the only one who showed any compassion. The one who left should be fired.

This CVS location is particularly friendly and efficient. They seem to retain employees giving off…read morethat "neighborhood vibe" that makes Tallahassee feel like home. Their photo department is excellent. If you're dissatisfied with pictures they will happily reprint but I find it's usually unnecessary. They've cut pharmacy hours but keep hours extensive enough for reasonable availability not to mention there's a 24 hour location nearby. Their makeup department offers assistance worthy of note, I've saved a lot of money switching to quality drugstore brands (yes, there is such a thing!) because they always seem to have a talented makeup person available that can help choose foundation colors, eyeliners etc. Love having a neighborhood pharmacy!

I had prepaid CVS Killearn already. Easy-Peasy right? No... Mr Weber AKA the Pharmacist Manager stated I did not pay" HIS Store"so I would have to go outside my insurance and pay 5x the price I had already paid to CVS Killearn.Or wait until am and go to Killearn CVS he sneered. Would not even look at my receipt showing I already paid for the medicine online via CVS app. So my senior Citizen self with elevated blood pressure and Parkinsons went without until I could get to Publix in the AM where they are so kind.. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place....

The cashiers in the regular part of the store are very friendly and pretty helpful. The pharmacy aspect of this store however, completely sucks. As previous reviews have stated, the pharmacy service at the Lake Ella location is incredibly SLOW. It is like there is NO hustle, or any interest in establishing an order or pace. For one, there is no place to form an actual queue or line. This results in the customers all being very unsure as to who is waiting for what and who is next in line. I have firsthand witnessed customers getting into arguments and bickering about who was waiting longer and who was there for what purpose. That is flat out RIDICULOUS. And to have such discord result while picking up or dropping off prescriptions is 100% CVS' fault. PERIOD. However, the main reason for me deciding to write this review is due to this CVS Pharmacy manager's decision to close the pharmacy portion of the store EARLY. I arrived around 5:58 p.m. on a Saturday. First, I had NO clue that the pharmacy closes at 6 p.m. on Saturday. The CVS marquee indicates that they are open until Midnight but apparently that is just the store itself, which is quite misleading if you ask me. Either way, when I arrived into the pharmacy area (prior to 6 p.m.), the entire prescription drop-off gate was down. That was when it suddenly dawned on me that there was a chance that this place was about to be closed. I was immediately grateful to have arrived while they were still serving customers. There was one customer being helped, and about 3 workers behind the counter. I was the only person waiting. The female manager who was helping an elderly customer, paused and asked her employee to see what I needed - if I was "picking something up". I indicated that I was indeed picking up one prescription, to which the manager interjected that it was too late and that I would have to come back tomorrow. I politely advised her that I really needed the medication to take first thing in the morning and that it was actually a FREE prescription (how long could that possibly take?). Regardless, at any other CVS, there would be no questions asked - so long as someone was waiting for service and arrived before closing time - they would be helped. Instead, the manager argued with me about the ability to pick up my prescription because it was after 6:00 p.m., and told me that my only other option was to contact a different CVS (located about 8 miles away), and have them fill it for me to pick-up that night. I rolled my eyes and ultimately left the store. This store is ALWAYS busy, and clearly I can see why. Of course you will always be busy when you limit your hours by arbitrarily deciding to close early and are routinely turning customers away. CVS Corporate needs to hear about this but I'm hopeful that they'll peruse these reviews on their own, as I've already expended enough of my energy.
