She was careful to explain how she would help me strengthen my hip and increase my range of motion. She carefully reviewed each exercise and how it would help me. Her mantra was do them SLOWLY. She took pictures of my gait as I walked. I went from walking "not too normal" to almost 100% normal. She suggested what exercises I was okay to do such as walking and yoga. She showed me exercises for the Swiss ball, Bosu ball, and exercise bands as well as mat exercises. She showed me exercises to help further release my hips. I told her I had a gym at my condominium where I could continue to do these things. Amazon also likes me because everything she had used on me I purchased lol. Dr. Ratree is a very caring and sensitive person. Great one on one communication. Additionally, I got laser treatments for pain. Highly recommend that too. She is like a detective and finds that pain. I was actually sad to leave but also so grateful for her help. My range of motion on my right leg has gone from near zero to near normal, and I'm going to continue working on it. Now my husband is going to her for hamstring treatment. I was very lucky to have come across this practice and because of it I have become more healthy. Dr. McHugh is very sweet and kind. She's very compassionate and a very attentive listener. I've always gone to doctors and they always tend to judge me because of how I look. I have dealt with weight issues for all my life, but I love that Dr. McHugh never made me feel less then. Instead she helped me find the source of my problems and she did so very kindly and with a gentle touch. Through lab tests she found out I have PCOS which is where most if not all my problems/symptoms were coming from. I have started to make more healthy choices for myself and Dr. McHugh and her office staff are the ones to thank for that. They are all caring and very upbeat. I was told I could come in for a free exam, but once I arrived, I received only a few minutes with the doctor before being asked to pay a new-patient fee. During that first visit, I explained that my insurance required a preauthorization from the doctor before an MRI could be approved. I even called my insurance company while I was there to confirm the process and relayed that information directly to the office. On my second visit, I was presented with a treatment plan that would cost around $1,000 out of pocket, without any meaningful discussion with the doctor beforehand. It felt like the focus was on selling a treatment plan rather than addressing my concerns. The doctor doesn't take the time to identify your issue before delivering a treatment plan! . After three weeks of treatment with no improvement, I followed up about the MRI authorization. I called first thing in the morning and was told I would receive a call back as soon as the doctor arrived. By 4 PM, I still had not heard anything, so I called again. The woman who answered the phone seemed annoyed that I was asking about something I had already discussed with the office from day one. Instead of helping me, she was rude and ultimately hung up on me. My biggest frustration is that I took the time to understand my insurance requirements, spoke directly with my insurance company, and clearly explained everything the office needed to do. Despite that, the office never followed through on the required authorization process and acted as if the information had never been provided. The office staff member acted as if she had the authority to make medical decisions and speak on behalf of the doctor, which was incredibly frustrating. Simply I wasn't looking for guesses, opinions, or an over-the-phone diagnosis--I needed answers directly from the doctor regarding my care and MRI authorization. Instead, I was met with arrogance, dismissive behavior, and a complete lack of professionalism. This practice was a nightmare to deal with.
