Yesterday, I was supposed to have an appointment in the afternoon. But I woke up with a very serious migraine and a slack pharmacy that can't seem to fill anything on time. I spoke with the office, after leaving voicemails because there was no one to answer the phone, which felt like a red light. We rescheduled for this morning. About 2 hours later, mind you I've got a migraine that nothing is helping so I'm sleeping and trying not to throw up, I get email notification. The way it was structured, it looked like it was the cancellation for yesterday's appointment. I needed immediate attention to get life saving medications since my former PCP left practice. I go out to my car this morning, it's dead. Omg. She had me swear to call in if I couldn't make it because I'd be his last appointment. I'm a clinician. I can understand that. So, I call while simultaneously trying to figure out how I'm getting there. Again, no one there to answer the phone. I'm leaving frantic voicemails. I know I can't miss this appointment or I could die. I opt for an uber. I never use ride share, but this was desperate. The driver got me there in record time and I walked in 2 minutes later, went to sign in, and the young man sitting behind the counter tells me Dr. Poveda cancelled all of his appointments for the day!!! What?!? I told him my car was dead and I just paid for an Uber to get here. The other provider, I was told, would not see me. So, I had to Uber back home, no med refills/scripts, get roadside assistance, and buy a new battery. Dr. Poveda, not notifying via phone/text, cost me about $+40 today. I had to race around to get to a doctor who could get me enough meds to last until I could get in with a provider, since everyone seems booked out for months. I can't overstate how awful I feel, and how much money, time, and anxiety you couldn't saved me if someone had just PICKED UP THE PHONE TO NOTIFY PATIENTS OF THEIR CANCELLED APPOINTMENT. This is about as unprofessional a practice I've ever dealt with. You charged me $25 late cancel fee and then cost me for an Uber round trip. So unbelievably unprofessional. If your practice can't support incoming calls, you're doing something wrong. One provider to another.

As you're speaking to him, he dictates into his computer right in front of you. He spent more time telling dry jokes and asking if I had irrelevant health issues than learning about my medical history or the reason for my visit. The entire consultation was about 5 minutes so if you're looking for a place to get you in and out quick, this is it. Otherwise nothing else productive. I will not return.

I'm healthy and I've never had a doctor need to see me more than twice a year. I checked with my insurance company and this is not required by them so I feel it is to increase billings. Check up appointments every 90 days is extremely difficult with two jobs and three kids! I've seen Dr. Lamp a few times, very un personable and curt. Office staff is rude. He will work with you to come up with a plan of action for whatever issues you are having. He makes sure we know exactly what to expect from any pill or cream he prescribes. She is the administrator at the front desk. The ultrasound technician Ivan was very friendly and comforting. The annual physical was fine and nothing unexpected, but the nurse seemed like she had a bad day and the wah she asked her questions was pretty blunt and didn't seem very friendly. As for myself, he kept encouraging me to get a sleep study and other tests to find out why I am always so tired. The irony is that he was such a great doctor and as an internal medicine doctor - he instinctively treated the symptoms precisely. However, until my circumstances and insurance changed and i couldn't afford the medical *cocktail* Dr Lipson prescribed me for pain and UTI's and kidney infections - i didn't learn the actual cause. Which is - after winding up in the ER the past years and getting sepsis and kidney infections - i learned that I believe I had kidney transplant as a child. which, would theoretically need to take all the types of medications Dr Lipson prescribed for me to treat viral infection, bacterial infections, anti inflammation and more - as an internal medicine doctor - following the symptoms, prescribing medications bas weed on my urine and bloodwork ... which made my bloodwork nearly perfect ... before my circumstances and insurance and doctor and everything changed. I'm grateful to Dr Lipson. My daughter had similar great experiences.
