Dr Lipson seems knowledgeable but is very rushed and unwilling to listen to the patient.

I continued as a patient of Dr. Lipari's after his practice…read more changed to Concierge. It is well worth the cost. People - actual staff - always answer the phone by the first or second ring. ALL requests are immediately and efficiently handled. The physician returns phone calls promptly and staff members get me instant answers to questions. The office is immaculately clean as well as beautifully and comfortably appointed. The staff is pleasant, professional and highly competent. Few physicians realize how much damage an inept staff does to their reputation and thus their income. The Office Manager, Joe, is simply amazing, I am ashamed to say that, if I still owned my business, I would try to hire him. I have some difficult health issues and have received the best and most conscientious care possible. Dr. Lipari correctly adjusted my medications when I first became his patient and recently took excellent care of me through two bouts of Covid and a complicated and not overly successful hip replacement resulting in painful bed sores. He is available 24/7 and watches every detail of my health issues. He is likable, compassionate, professional and never arrogant, a not uncommon trait in many competent and highly respected physicians. An average appointment is an hour and he is never rushed. I am a strong personality and he manages me with finesse and respect. There are not enough superlatives at my disposal to adequately laud this practice,

Hello, I have Hypo Thyroid. I went to Dr Gunawardhane once last year. He ordered regular Thyroid…read morePanel, when I insisted I needed the "Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies" and "Thyroglobulin Antibodies" oredred so that I can track my progress as I was following a Gluten Free diet. He ordered those tests and I had to goto to the lab second time. On 9/24/2020 it is the time for my physical and they sent me a lab prescription with just thyroid panel, CBC etc. So I was following up with emails with the Nurse "Venessa" to add the antibody tests just like last time. She said she talked to the doctor and doctor didn't want to order those antibody tests until he sees me in person. So I asked her If I can talk to the doctor. She said If the doctor talks to me on the phone its a Visit. I asked her it just takes the doc 2 to 3 minutes to explain on the phone and it isn't all about the money all the time. Finally I kept argriung about why Doc cannot talk to me, she said I have to get off the call and see another patient. My point is neither the doc nor the nurse are empathetic people, probably they are good people. Simple logic is Doctor is OK in sending me twice to lab risking my life for Covid stuff but not willing to speak to me for 2 minutes and sort out the issue. My Wife and MotherIn law go to that doctor. I will ask them to reconsider their primary doctor, if all the doctor/nurse cares is about his financial bottom line. I had decent experience with him last time though.

I don't understand the rave reviews. I've got a lot going on, medically, at once. I've had to…read morereschedule my new patient appointment with Dr. Poveda as a result. Yesterday, I was supposed to have an appointment in the afternoon. But I woke up with a very serious migraine and a slack pharmacy that can't seem to fill anything on time. I spoke with the office, after leaving voicemails because there was no one to answer the phone, which felt like a red light. We rescheduled for this morning. About 2 hours later, mind you I've got a migraine that nothing is helping so I'm sleeping and trying not to throw up, I get email notification. The way it was structured, it looked like it was the cancellation for yesterday's appointment. I needed immediate attention to get life saving medications since my former PCP left practice. I go out to my car this morning, it's dead. Omg. She had me swear to call in if I couldn't make it because I'd be his last appointment. I'm a clinician. I can understand that. So, I call while simultaneously trying to figure out how I'm getting there. Again, no one there to answer the phone. I'm leaving frantic voicemails. I know I can't miss this appointment or I could die. I opt for an uber. I never use ride share, but this was desperate. The driver got me there in record time and I walked in 2 minutes later, went to sign in, and the young man sitting behind the counter tells me Dr. Poveda cancelled all of his appointments for the day!!! What?!? I told him my car was dead and I just paid for an Uber to get here. The other provider, I was told, would not see me. So, I had to Uber back home, no med refills/scripts, get roadside assistance, and buy a new battery. Dr. Poveda, not notifying via phone/text, cost me about $+40 today. I had to race around to get to a doctor who could get me enough meds to last until I could get in with a provider, since everyone seems booked out for months. I can't overstate how awful I feel, and how much money, time, and anxiety you couldn't saved me if someone had just PICKED UP THE PHONE TO NOTIFY PATIENTS OF THEIR CANCELLED APPOINTMENT. This is about as unprofessional a practice I've ever dealt with. You charged me $25 late cancel fee and then cost me for an Uber round trip. So unbelievably unprofessional. If your practice can't support incoming calls, you're doing something wrong. One provider to another.
