Overall a good place to shop, I do so often it's crazy haha! But recently I'm hesitant as there a worker there that i read about in online news papers that is a convicted as an animal killer/abuse with many charges. It makes me feel a little off but I avoid her and all is well! I still shop here every week!! read more

I love this store. Big enough to have everything I need, but not so giant that I can't find anything. Workers are always helpful and friendly. And they play good music! Lion and I have been to this Weis Markets in Danville PA twice in the past month. In both cases our primary reason was to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, however in both cases we also were quite impressed with what this store had to offer. First, the pharmacy - the pharmacists and staff are super friendly, helpful and professional. I've gone to three different places for COVID shots - a Rite Aid just north of Philly for the Patriarch, this Weis and another Rite Aid for the NMA (who has a qualifying health condition). By far, Weis pharmacists get top billing from us. Second, Lion LOVED the local and regional beer selections. He is a home brewer and this is his hobby. He was very impressed both times with the selection and the quality of the brews. Lastly, we did some shopping before our ride back both times. I was SO impressed with the quality and selection of the fruits and veggies, especially in the wintertime, everything was tasty and fresh. A couple more things: Very clean store! Gas pumps and an ATM right outside the store. I would go there again when we're back in the area, I'm thinking camping grocery stop before we arrive at Knoebel's once it's safe to do this again. read more

Bad becomes worse by 2021. Over the holidays I ordered an expensive cut of meat for a holiday party and they never even bothered to order it OR inform me that they didn't order it. Beyond unprofessional! At the deli counter I ask for thin sliced meat and every single time they hand me a package of cold cuts cut as thick as steaks. One should be able to get more than 4 sandwiches from half a pound of meat. Absolutely disgraceful. Managers will prowl around checkout ordering you what line to get into but they have limp, factually untrue excuses about how they can't enforce masks in the middle of a pandemic that has killed half a million of our countrymen. Furthermore, the people at the back fresh food counter don't do their jobs or serve customers in a timely manner, but thank god we're all getting in the "right" line! This store is run by dumb apes and it has lost my business forever. This is plain insulting. read more

This is the worst grocery store I've been to. Pretty much missing everything I was looking for. Decided to try getting beer on the way out. Apparently there's a shortage of beer now. Not really sure why I can buy a 30 pack, but not two 6 packs. Or a 12 pack, but not two packs for that matter... what a joke. Definitely won't go back. Would suggest avoiding this place. read more

I haven't had a problem with produce here in general, but I keep getting spoiled yellow onions. They look and feel alright - but as soon as you cut off the top you can see several spoiled layers. This has happened so often that sometimes I have bought two onions so that I will likely have at least one good one. They will happily refund your money but just don't seem to get how disrupting it is to get into preparing a dish and find halfway through the preparation that the onion you bought has to be replaced before you can continue. Other types of onions I have bought there have been ok. I would love to attach a photo but yelp doesn't seem to support that. read more

People working in the Deli come off as lazy and inattentive. Deli is open to 10pm but they stop making Pizza at 6:30 on a Friday night!

I will never shop at this weis again. I have spent hundreds here and today I went to get a pizza I got there before they take there last orders to make pizza and they wouldn't make me a pizza bc the employees didn't want to do there jobs. They just wanted to stand there and do nothing. Also when I got to the counter I needed to wait 5 mins so the employee can text on his phone. If you wanted to just be on your phone and not work call off. The staff member didn't even acknowledge me jist looked at me and kept texting on his phone. If he was my employee I would of fired him right then and there. I did all my shopping at this weis. Well never again. Idk why I'd continue to spend 500 a month at a store that there employees will not serve you. read more

Went into Weis for the first time yesterday for a somewhat disappointing and underwhelming experience. First, the produce - was happy to see BOGO on onions, then realized why... half the onions in each bag were black molded or sprouting. Not exactly what I was expecting. I had the option to buy a different kind, but the price was too high. Bakery - I went hunting for a muffin, and was happy to snag an apple muffin. Too bad it was really butter rum, which I found out the next day. They were labeled wrong. Meat - I needed 1lb of ground beef and 1lb of ground pork for a recipe - not an odd request given that most recipes call for ground meat in this quantity. I checked every package they had, and all were for 1.3lb - 1.5lbs. I actually asked the butcher (who happened to be restocking at that moment) if he had any 1lb packs of beef or pork, and he said he didn't. Seriously? Is this a price gimmick to get me to buy a few ounces more? Come on. I ended up spending more than I wanted to, but didn't want to have to head to a second store for a better selection. Grocery - I went in the middle of the day and most of the shelves were reasonably stocked and organized, but I had to ask for someone to find another on-sale item that was completely missing from the shelf. There seemed to be a lot of "rain check" tags. +1 star for friendly staff that was helpful in this, but the whole process took a while Check out - I always pick the slow line, nothing new there Prices - Sale prices are good which did a great job of luring me in, but average prices are a bit too high to compensate for this. And points? What are points? Nothing anywhere to tell me what they do for me. Off to the other store in town to see if it's any better. read more

Our family stopped by this Weiss Market food store to pick up some subs, sides and drinks while in the Danville area during vacation. Boy, were we disappointed! The subs were expensive (about $7 compared to Walmart's $5) and the bread was stale and coldcuts were OK at best. The sides were good. Overall, Weiss prices seemed high. The cashier was very friendly and helpful. read more
