My first experience with my I thought he was not very friendly but then as he was talking and explaining everything and I asked questions he was always so kind to make sure that he I understood everything. People complain about the office, which I certainly don't understand. I nothing but good return phone . they appointments and keep them on time. Also, somebody mentioned about Julie, who works in the office has been very rude. I don't know what Shellley you're talking about but it certainly wasn't the one that I have with. I will just go and say that my husband treated for blood cancer and at one point he was in severe pain and had trouble urinating. It was on a holiday. Julie have a job in the office was able to get in contact with Dr Popowitz and he came on a holiday no questions asked golf course and proceeded to do something procedure that made my husband very comfortable that. That is what you want in a doctor. He is very knowledgeable, caring, efficient and kind. If you could please me then that says a lot if anybody who knows me he's a one doctor don't hesitate to go to him for anything. He knows what he's doing and he's a great person and a great staff.

First of all, I want to say that the…read morewaiting room in Dr. Patel's office is very small, and if four people come, it's impossible to sit and wait for your appointment. You can hardly breathe. I asked to turn on the air conditioning so I could breathe. There are two women at the reception desk and they are very unhappy when you ask them questions. They look at you in such a way that you feel guilty. In the doctor's office, all the doors are open, both to the examination rooms and to his office. That is, you can easily hear everything while sitting in the waiting room. When I was called to see the doctor, I was taken to the examination room, one of the women at the reception came, took my blood pressure and told me to wait. I waited another 15 minutes. After that, I was invited into Dr. Patel's office; he himself came and invited me. I didn't even understand why I went to his office, but I went. The chair was opposite his desk. He started reading me questions about my vaccinations. Did I get this shot, did I get that shot, etc. The door to his office was open, so the people waiting in the room could hear all my answers. I asked why he was asking me about every vaccination. Wouldn't it be easier to give a form to new patients, like they do everywhere, and I could answer all the questions while waiting for my appointment, and no one would hear my personal medical information. After all, there's HIPPA. I got the impression he didn't like my question. He raised his voice at me and yelled that this is how he works and that things won't go that way if I keep asking questions. I could tell he hated me as a patient. He started asking why I came to him and said since I'll have different insurance starting in the new year, I should go to my doctor and let him treat me. My blood pressure was 132... I asked him to give me something for it, to advise, since my blood pressure fluctuates a lot and can be high. To which he replied that my blood pressure is normal... I asked for an electrocardiogram, to which he told me that it would be expensive... well, it was $200, maybe less. He also refused. When this horror with questions in his office ended, he told me to go to the examination room. I went in and sat down to wait for him. He came rudely, listened to me for a minute, no more, and left. I felt like I had come to the prosecutor, not the doctor. I felt some kind of terrible shame when I left the examination room. All the waiting patients looked at me, as if I had done something terrible. My son was the day before. There was also a terrible survey in his office, then the doctor had not yet finished chatting with his patient before my son's appointment. And when he finished his conversation, he came into the examination room where my son was sitting, and not even a minute had passed before the doctor finished the examination. My son wanted to ask questions, but the doctor had already left. I don't recommend anyone go to this terrible doctor. I didn't feel Dr. Patel was professional towards me as a patient. He wrote a referral for a blood test, but my son and I didn't do it because we don't want to deal with such a terrible doctor anymore

I requested A Monday appointment and was told that he's not in that office on Mondays. Thus, I was given an appointment on Thursday. A few minutes later, I get an email confirmation for my appointment, however, it was with his NURSE PRACTITIONER! I replied that I wanted to see the DOCTOR, as I left my former Rheumatologist because he had moved to Costa Rica and left his NURSE PRACTITIONER to handle his patients. Following my reply, I recieved a phone call from Dr. Barron's office. The woman explained that I could NOT see the doctor because he does NOT see patients in the Delray office! When I requested the appointment, I explained about my previous doctor and his move to Costa Rica. How is it possible that this woman was sending me to another nurse and NOT the doctor? I wonder if the insurance companies know that they are paying nurses for doing the doctor's jobs...I wonder if they even care! Wish that I had an assistant to whom I could turn over my students, before I retired from teaching...I would never have retired. This country is so very broken, everyone seems to have a DEAL, except me! PS~ Please note the years in which the "good" reviews were written...Long before the shenanigans began!

Dr Barron himself is extremely adept at accessing everything thats going on with me and is very good at diagnosing and proscribing treatment. He take copious amounts of notes and really is good at tracking progress. His staff are all completely professional and his PA is one of the nicest people you will ever want to meet. After trouble getting my Rx assistance, she went above and beyond to advocate for me. I cant put into words how much that means when you are looking for treatment for a debilitating disease.
