ONE OF THE WORST PHYSICIANS OFFICES I'VE EVER VISITED
I've had a problem with my prostate acting up and a colleague recommended Dr David Weinstein with University Urologists in Lake Worth FL. It was one screw up after another.
9:40 They asked me to arrive 15-20 before my appointment, I did. I entered and stood in line for 20 minutes before getting to the counter. 10:00 The receptionist did not make eye contact with me, she said "name." She informed me that I was seeing Dr Meinbach, fill out the paperwork and bring it back up. I did. I noticed that my name had been put onto a different sign-in sheet for Dr Weinstein, I inquired "Oh, I made a mistake. Have a seat and we will be with you in a moment."
10:40 Forty-Minutes went by, I heard my last name and went in. The tech did not make eye contact, must said "Room One." I went to room one and could hear voices inside. I inquired and she said, "oh I made a mistake, let me find out what room you're in."
10:45 Five minutes later she came back and said room two.
10:55 I sat for 10 minutes, she came in and asked me what I had done with my urine sample...I asked her what urine sample. She was irritated and asked me to come with her.
11:00 I stood for five minutes again and she came out with a cup and told me to give a sample.
11:05 By this point I'm there for 75-80 minutes.
11:20 She comes back in after I sat for another fifteen minutes and tells me my birthdate and I correct her as she gave the wrong year. She sarcastically said, "I try to be perfect but I can't always." She proceeds to ask me questions to which I had already given the answers to on the paperwork. Still no eye contact or how are you? This takes about 10 minutes.
11:30 So at about 100-110 minutes I'm sitting alone still. So I exit the room and go to the desk and ask what's up?
11:40 Dr Weinstein shows up, no eye contact and gives a half-hearted apology for being late. I tell him about my experience and he doesn't say anything.
He examines me and tells me that I have about a cup or urine in my bladder, that my prostate is proper size and feel. He offers no explanation for my getting up to urinate several times each night except that I should not have ice tea for dinner, that I take too many vitamins and supplements without telling me which ones to cut back on/eliminate, and that my difficulty having an orgasm for the past couple of months is a mystery. He prescribes a PSA test, Flomax and says come back in a month. We part company at 11:55.
Next after checking with the desk twice to make sure they send the prescription to my pharmacy, they send it to the wrong one. The receptionist who gave me my prescription did make eye contact and smile. For $350 cash I should have gotten better service. What do you believe? read more
