Aside from being a great physician, also a caring and compassionate one. Highly recommended.

The staff is amazing and friendly and made the entire experience so enjoyable. Dr Vitolo is so kind and knowledgeable (obviously) and down to earth and easy to talk too! I felt super comfortable in his presence. His assistant Steve is also wonderful. They really take their time with each patient and explain everything fully! I would recommend (and have) their office to my family and friends! His specialty is knees and shoulders. Don't live in pain if you don't have to! Consult with them and get back to your normal activities!

Both my left (2013 surgery) and right (2016 surgery) triceps tendons had to be reattached by Dr. Vitiolo and I can say that I have not lost any performance after my recovery. I am very active and live a bodybuilding lifestyle so being able to have fully functional limbs are very important to me as it would be to anyone. In February, 2017, my knee suffered a serious tear to all 4 quad muscles and tendons at the left knee joint. My surgery went exceptionally well and am making great progress. Thank you Dr. Vitolo for the excellent "craftsmanship" as a surgeon. I truly appreciate your talent and thank you for bringing me back to my full physical self.

He gave me a script for an anti-inflammatory AFTER he told me I'd probably need an MRI and possibly back surgery, even though I had no back pain. He said the same had happened to him...no pain...back surgery. With PT and my chiropractor, my problem disappeared. Three months later I received a statement reflecting payment by Medicare and my supplemental, but showing I owed the full amount. I called the billing dept., spoke with someone who told me they're having a problem with their billing system and I owe nothing. I have been receiving text messages demanding that I have an outstanding balance. I've left 3 voice messages for the billing dept. and have not received a return call, but continue to receive text messages, even on Thanksgiving Eve, when I know I won't be able to reach anyone. I've just send an email through their website. This is obnoxious. I will never return there.

I went to Dr. Spivak for an excruciating pain in my lower back. This has been with me for a decade…read morebut has gotten worse every year to the point of severe pain affecting even basic functioning like walking. After viewing MRIs he recommended ablations to my sacroiliac joint and facet joints( which had brought relief in the past to a medium degree). Both were done but we're relatively unaffective. I'd say the least effective I've experienced. I know he's a neurosurgeon MD that does surgeries and I said " where do we go from here". This is where I believe he was uncaring. He crudely said " I'm not a magician and there's nothing that can be done" . After my surprise and astonishment I then said , "so what am I to do, live the rest of my life in terrible pain " and his answer was simply "yes". He said go back to your pain management Dr. and maybe he can help with the pain. Fast forward to my pain management doctors recommendation of an specific orthopedic surgeon. After this surgeon said it would be tricky but I can help 6 months and 2 surgeries later I'm feeling like a different person. Still some residual pain from the last surgery but the pain that I lived with for years is nearly gone. Please go to a Surgeon who cares and doesn't just blow you off. I have zero respect for Dr. Spivak. His skill and his bedside manner is lacking terribly.

Dr Spivak abruptly dismissed me when he decided he could not do surgery on me. I then asked what could be causing my issues and he said he did not know or care. Many years later, I learned one of my legs was shorter than the other. A little concern and effort back then could have saved me a lot of pain and damage to the disks in my lower back. His only concern was if he could make money on a surgery on me.

If I could give ZERO stars I would. I myself work in the healthcare industry and if I had treated…read moreone of my patients like I was treated I would be fired. The staff at this office are completely unprofessional and RUDE!!! My husband and I were involved in a motor vehicle accident on 4/18/2023. We saw a different orthopedic and was told that some of our injuries are permanent because of the accident. Now it is going to a civil case against the driver that hit us and his insurance, and I informed the office before I made the appointment that this case is in litigation, and we need another orthopedic to confirm the diagnosis from the first orthopedic. The nurse who I was talking to said "okay" and then said to bring the MRI discs with us and come on Wed at 9.am. We arrive a week later on Wed at 9.am and I gave my name at the window, the receptionist shoves a clipboard in my face and said," sign in both of you". I proceeded to inform her once again that this is from a MVA, and she gave me an attitude and said I had another form to fill out and rolled her eyes at me as she made copies of the forms for us. While I was filling out the paperwork another patient showed up. He went to the desk and gave his name. The nurse behind the counter, yells at him " You are 30 minutes late. he said that he was sorry that the gps sent him to a different location, she said you should have called and you have to reschedule and go home now". I finished my husband's paperwork first because he has multiple medications that he takes (he has a mental disability) and told him to hand it to the nurse at the desk, she then takes him into a room. I started to accompany my husband and the nurse says very nasty- you can sit right there in the waiting room and finish your paperwork you will be going into a different room. She the proceeds to drill my husband about his injuries and the date of the accident. He told her that he did not know the date and told her where he is hurting since the accident. I told the other nurse that he is not going to have any patience with the other nurse being nasty to him and the nurse at the desk ignored me. I walked to where my husband was, and the nurse yelled at me to go back to the waiting area. I tried to tell her about my husband's disability and she would not listen, she just kicked me out of the room. My husband told the nurse that he wanted me in there with him and she told him NO, then she had a bigger attitude with him when he said that he is allowed to have me accompany him. She told him very nasty that I was going to go into a different room and I was not going to be in this room with him and he could take it up with the doctor. She then tries to get more information out of him and he told her to get out of the room. The she told him that she will not be spoken to like that and told the Doctor that he was nasty and kicked him out of the office. My husband took the car keys and said he would wait in the car. Then the two nurses started talking about my husband and then said that she did not want to let me see the doctor because it was the same accident. I got up from my chair and walked to the desk and handed in my unfinished paperwork and one or the nurses was holding the door open for me to leave. I then said there was no reason I could not have been in the room with my husband until it was time for me to go into another room. She said very rudely that they did do things like that. I then told her that she should have read the paperwork for him and that he had a mental disability, and she said that she was not a mental doctor and that wasn't her problem. I told her that her problem was that she did not listen to the patients that come in. I cannot believe that this office can get away with treating people this way. IF YOU CAN, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

When I called to make the appointment, I didn't feel like they were the nicest, but again I just ignored it and made the appointment. When I went into the office, I was treated very unprofessional by the front desk and would have walked out if my elbow was not in so much pain. I proceeded to sit down and do my paperwork while I listen to the front desk trash talk their patients, complaining that they couldn't understand why people @couldn't figure out" how to do the paperwork online. I was told to come in 20 minutes early and do the paperwork but either way I let them know that I could hear them and advised them to close the front window. They got up and did this without apologizing. The doctor herself was great and very knowledgeable and I feel bad that her front desk is ruining her office's reputation.
