I stopped by 3 hours before my appointment to pick up my new patient paperwork to fill out beforehand and they said I could go ahead and have my appointment early if I wanted. My hygienist was amazing. She explained all the steps of the exam and cleaning and really put my mind at ease. The cleaning was painless and now my teeth are sparkly and white. Plus, no cavities. Not only was Dr. Dixon helpful in explaining the situation but he also took the time to show me my 3D scanning on my wisdom tooth along with the nerve running along my jaw. Due to the proximity of the nerve to the tooth, they were unable to do the extraction procedure then and there, however he did not hesitate to write me a referral to an oral surgeon. Needless to say, I was able to get all 4 wisdom teeth out in the same day and am now recovering!!! I will 100% be coming back to NKC Dental when my next check up is due. Plus I had to wait over an hour in the waiting room, then an hour in the treatment room. Now it's under Dr. Grutter, and he is exceptional. I had a crown put in when I was living in NYC from 2012-2016, and moved back to KC last year. Dr. Grutter took off the crown, remolded a new one, and I was out of there in less than two hours. He makes the crowns on the spot. He is so easy to talk to and you can tell he genuinely cares about his patients. The girls at the front desk are super friendly, always greeting with a smile, and very professional. It is also a kid friendly office, and with a younger new dentist, it's a good place to start your kids so that they can have the same dentist for the next 30 years. Don't go anywhere else.
