My daughter and I have visited this salon a few times, and unfortunately our experience today was…read morereally disappointing. When we walked in, we were the only customers. I asked for a basic manicure and pedicure for both of us, but we were quickly upsold on additional services. While we were in the middle of our appointments, about five other customers came in. Each one was greeted and offered a drink as they were seated. We were never offered anything at all, which made us feel overlooked and disrespected--especially considering we had already been there longer and ended up spending over $100. It's not about the drink itself, but about the inconsistency in how customers are treated. That kind of service leaves a bad impression. For clarity, we did not bring any drinks in with us either. Sadly, after this experience, we won't be returning.

This was my first time at Signature Nails and I will not be returning. For years, I got shellac…read moremanicures and pedicures every two weeks so I have a lot of experience getting my nails done. I haven't gotten my nails done in a few years, now, and wanted a professional to clean up my cuticles and shape my nails and then polish them with regular polish for a special event coming up in a few days. On the plus side, I walked in yesterday and was given a next-day appointment. I came today and was put into the care of one of the men who work there. I was disappointed that he didn't spend much time cleaning up the cuticles on my toes. Otherwise, the pedicure was fine - basic. I brought my own polish. However, at the end of the service no employee offered me the disposable flip-flops that many salons use and I had to crawl off the chair and dig around for my shoes and socks because he had kicked them under/behind the seat of the spa chair. My manicure is probably the worst I've ever gotten. Honestly, I could have done a better job myself, which defeats the purpose of going to a salon. He barely worked on my cuticles (did not use cuticle remover gel at all) and he trimmed my nails unevenly. They are not all the same shape and two fingers have visibly slanted nails. The polish he used was thick and gluey and dried unevenly - overlapping onto the cuticle at the base and the skin on each side of the nail. He cut two of my fingers with the nippers - one badly enough that it is still bloody and looks like I ripped a wicked hangnail. The polish is uneven and so thick I am sure it won't cure before I ding it, and I waited twenty minutes before I left the place. I paid fifty dollars for the service and if he hadn't been standing there peering at the credit card machine I wouldn't have tipped. I did tip five percent (I wait tables and I believe in tip karma!) but it was undeserved. I just don't understand why a company wouldn't make more effort on a brand-new client that they would see twice a month, if that person is happy with the service. I recommend Columbus Nails over this place, even though I quit going to Columbus Nails because I wasn't happy with their high prices and inconsistent quality of service. If you have to choose a place in town, I would avoid Signature Nails.

It does tick me off when they just rub in the same spot on my shin bone the entire time. Let's face it, it's our calf muscles and feet that need the massage, not our shins. I know giving a massage is super boring, but we're paying a lot for it. Please don't just rub the same spot for ten minutes. The pedi menu does tell you which pedi's include a massage, but I'm still trying to figure out which manicures come with one. Sometimes they do it and sometimes they don't. I guess I should just ask! They do an excellent job on my nails and pedi. It always seems like they want to start fresh every time instead of just filling. I can't decide if they always want to do that because it really needs it or if they are just wanting to do a more expensive service. Would give them 5 stars if the massages were consistent and it was not quite so pricey. $160 for a plain mani-pedi (no massage) may not be a lot of money to everyone, but it's a lot to every two to three weeks. And to be honest, the massage is really the most important part for me.

The morning of, I received a call that my assigned therapist was out Ill, and one of the add-ons I wanted was not something the therapists working that day were able to do. They were kind to offer me another service if I'd like, or just skip it and try next time. I thought that was very kind for them to call me and inform me, rather than me finding out when I arrived. Also, they were very understanding and caring about my sensitivity to LED lights due to my brain injury and other conditions, and had the lights practically off when ai got there for my appointment, just to ensure I felt as comfortable as possible. The room was also very dimly lit as well. So very thoughtful and kind. All of the ladies were extremely kind and pleasant. Very welcoming. I truly felt appreciated for being there. I was listened to, and felt "heard". My therapist focused on what needed the most attention, and i think may have even put me to sleep a couple times. It was an absolutely incredible experience, and I'm so ready to go back. I'm telling you now, do NOT waste your money on those chain places like Massage envy or any of the others. They are crap compared to this place. The pricing here is absolutely reasonable and the service you receive is top notch.
