He also has another location in Midtown East (139 East 36th in Murray Hill between Park and Lexington). Since he's moved to the city, he has a more competent staff including a Physician's Assistant (PA) who can see you instead of Olivieri if it's nothing urgent. The wait time is still a bit long to see either, but nothing like it used to be in his Brooklyn office. He no longer has a phlebotomist in his office. Dr. Olivieri is less harried now that he has his Manhattan office(s) and is, therefore, more accessible.

Some of the test results are based on where you are in your menstrual cycle. I knew which phase I was in so I pointed that out to him while he was reading the labs. He disagreed with me. After the appt I kept thinking about how he said that. I was so sure that I was right that I got a second AND third opinion from other drs and they both confirmed that I was right. The problem is that completely changes how you read the numbers on the labs. If you can't even get that simple thing right how can I trust you to diagnose me? When i asked him what those numbers could mean he just went off on tangents about conditions that had nothing to do with me. It was a complete waste of time. PS If you have a thyroid issue and have read and align yourself with the stop the thyroid madness website, you may feel the same way as me, that this doctor is not for you.

I am not a youngster. I am a senior citizen. I am in generally good health, but have been to many…read moredoctors over the course of my life. Overall, I feel that if a primary physician runs your yearly tests, interprets them correctly and is competent in record keeping, referrals and listening to the patients concerns, that's good enough for me . This is by FAR the worst doctor I have EVER been to in my whole life. He referred me to a few doctors for a few extra tests. Nothing serious. He NEVER got back to me as far as the results of those tests. I had to go back to his office TWICE because when I asked for a cologuard test, he said "you'll receive the kit in the mail". I never did. I called Cologard and they asked me if I ever signed a Cologuard form at the doctor's office. I said no. They said he was supposed to have me sign a form. SO another Uber ride and more waste of time and money. I went there, signed the form and went home. THEN, after a month or so, I called Cologard and asked for my results. They stated that only my doctor could give me the results. I called his office NINE TIMES to leave messages with his NASTY, RUDE and MEAN secretaries and they said they would tell him to get back to me. STILL haven't heard from him. ALSO, when he sent me for my blood work, I told him that I always did a Vitamin D test every year with all my other doctors. He gave me a condescnding look and said I don't need that. I said I want it. SO, I go the the lab to get my blood and urine work done. Got the results and NO Vitamin D test. He said I don't need it. I only went to this doctor once. From day one, he was condescending and arroant. That started the moment I got there and he asked me if I had my COVID and Flu shots. I told him that I do not take any vaccines EVER. That is my choice. I said it nicely. His response was "WELL, I CAN SEE THIS IS GOING TO BE A PROBLEM". Hid whole demeanor changed and everything since then has been a horrible experience. He made things IMPOSSIBLE from that point on. Getting medical records, results, blood tests, Cologuard. He just will not respond. In my honest opinion, he told he secrertaries to be nasty to me when I call. That would be the thing to do if you do not want to see a patient again. I only saw him once and it has been a disaster. ALSO, he is NOT a very intelligent doctor. Then my girlfriend saw him on her own a week or two after me. We switched to him because we both moved to an area in NYC far from our previous and WONDERFUL Primary Physician. So, SHE went to him and he went on and on to her about MY personal health issues, our incompatibility as far as doctor to patient chemistry. He told her that he sent me to a cardiologist ( I went to one that I picked and he was pissed. Fortunately all those tests were fine.). When I saw him, he gave me an echocardiogram and told me I had valve damage and wanted to send me to HIS cardiologist. The reviews of the one he referred me to sucked, so I did a lot of research and found my own. .So, I went to the BEST Cardiologist in NYC who specializes in HEART VALVE DAMAGE, VALVE REPLACEMEMT AND VALVE REPAIR. This saint of a doctor showed me the results of HIS Echocardigram and the one that this HORRIBLE doctor sent him and showed me how badly the test was done and how innacurate it was. NOW, GET THIS. My GF went to him for a reaction to a medication he put her on for her Blood Pressure meds. HE said her aches, pains, weakness etc had NOTHING to do with her BP meds. DURING that visit, he told her everything about MY medical history, the cardiologist I went to and everything else under the sun about me. CAN YOU IMAGINE THIS? DID HE EVER HEAR ABOUT DOCTOR/PATIENT CONFIDENTIALITY? I NEVER told my GF that this moron said I had a bad heart valve (which I do not). My GF is a retired REGISTERED NURSE and she is a WORRIER. She came home from her visit YELLING at me and DEMANDING for an explanation as to why I didn't tell her about my supposed heart condition. That is MY choice. I didn't want her to worry until I saw a top notch heart surgeon who specializes in HEART VALVE SURGERY and DIAGNOSIS. SO, there is NOTHING wrong with my heart. But THIS moron of a doctor told my GF during HER visit and she went ballistic on me. Just take it from me, this doctor in my opinion and experience with doctors my whole life, is not only a bad doctor in terms of diagnosing and treating patients. He is an arrogant moron who, if you say you don't want vaccines, turns on you like a wild animal. His office staff is HORRIBLE except for ONE wonderful woman named CECILIA. She is just perfect. The other two , one name Mary and the other I think is Muriel, were RUDE as hell, never passed on my messages to him (or he ignored them) and hung up on me each and every time they heard my voice. STEER CLEAR. He is not very intellient,, he is VERY opinionated and NOT open to ANY questions anout his treatment or diagnosis, he is EXTREMELY arrogant, he is incompetant and his staff sucks.

I took a co-workers referral to visit this doctor. I am glad I did…read more I came here not knowing I had a H-pylori infection thinking I had acid reflux after a scary event. After waiting a while I was finally able to see Dr. Sayad at his Gramercy office. He took a few looks at me and knew what it was. which later after a smooth and quick endoscopy we confirmed it was exactly that. I have united health care PPO and the copay for the visit & everything was reasonable and no charges over the top. He did exactly what was expected. FOR THIS I REMOVE ONE STAR: ,y only complaints would be that he loves to talk as somoene said before and he overspends time with clients, which in turn pushs appointments back. Also his front desk staff, a few young girls, who I seen be rude to other guests and actually gave me attitude on the phone. I think the thing they need to realize is that people come in here or call in as I had are sick and a bit upset and we appreciate staff who can help calm and assure us not make situations harder then need be. I called in the appointed Friday(could not get through on the line untill the following Monday) for my test results only to be told they don't know where they are.. I call a few more times as i am feeling horrible and awaiting a solution. I did finally get them soon after, however, I would have expected the staff to be sensitive and not give attitude. Other than that I loved the place Dr. Sayad has an amazing beside manner and does the procedures himself and as it was my first procedure ever I was scareeedddd and it help to see his friendly face there during this time. Now that I am feeling bettter I will not hesitate to recommend him to anyone in need.

When I left the same woman carefully explained each referral they had given me. I found his office staff to be warm and welcoming. Dr Sayad took his time speaking with me about my medical history and explained the test he thought I should have and why. Overall my experience was very positive and I plan to use him as my Primary Care as well as GI specialist indefinitely. There are two things to be aware of though when seeing Dr Sayad. First because he treats you like you are the only person he needs to see that day he runs behind. Like way behind, my appointment was at 12:30 and he saw me at 1:45. He is worth the wait and it's easier to deal with if you know going into it. Second, I don't know who she is but if you call on a Tuesday you have a good chance of speaking with a shockingly rude receptionist. I've gotten her twice and she has told me that he didn't take Tri Care (which he does) and another time asked "why didn't you think of this while you were here?!". That being said, it you bring a good book and call Monday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday you are golden!
