He took his time and explained everything clearly to me and actually showed me my MRI. I was able to see that I had a herniated disk. He suggested an Epidural injection for the pain. I was able to have a consultation and injection with Dr Abbasi within a week. They have an amazing set up to do the injections in their office. Their assistants made me feel comfortable, played music to calm my nerves and were able to get me home in an hour after my injection. Doing much better now Highly recommend!

After so much time and money wasted with facials, chemical peels and trips to the drug store, I came across some research that made me realize that I was probably struggling with hormonal acne. In comes Dr. Funt and wah-lah! After carefully examining my face during my first consultation, Dr. Funt took her time to explain her findings (hormonal acne indeed). She designed a straight forward treatment plan and made sure to let me know that my skin was going to "purge" or get worse before it got better once I started my trentinoid treatment. She explained that it takes weeks to see noticiable results but to just stick to the treatment plan and promise that I would be very happy with the results in a few months. Three months in and wow! With Dr. Funt's treatment plan (that included both an oral medication and another topical cream I had never had prescribed before), and my dedication to stick to my treatment plan as directed, my skin is better than EVER! Dr. Funt then addressed the hyperpigmentation but only after the acne was under control. I now use very little foundation and when I go makeup free, most folks cannot believe I am not wearing any because my skin is so clear and has this amazing natural glow to it. I found this doctor through Google, and during the consultation he was friendly, attentive, and made me feel confident about moving forward. Unfortunately, my experience changed completely after the surgery. I never saw the surgeon again. Every postoperative visit was handled by someone else, and whenever I asked to speak with him, I was told he was busy with consultations. Instead, I was forced to communicate through his coordinator/personal assistant, who acted as the middle person for everything. When a nurse removed my stitches, I discovered that my entire tummy tuck incision had trapped skin (dog ears/skin caught along the incision), leaving me with a botched result. I was shocked and devastated. I had no opportunity to discuss it directly with the surgeon because he was never available. To make matters worse, I was in significant pain after surgery and couldn't even reach the doctor for pain medication. Despite repeated attempts, I could only get responses through his assistant. Eventually, I had to schedule an appointment with my primary care physician just to obtain pain medication for a surgery that this surgeon had performed. The lack of postoperative care and communication was unacceptable. A surgeon's responsibility doesn't end once the operation is over. Patients deserve follow-up care, answers to their concerns, and direct access to the doctor when complications arise. Because of the poor surgical outcome, I had to seek another plastic surgeon and spend thousands of additional dollars to repair the damage caused by my first surgery. No patient should have to pay twice for the same procedure because of inadequate surgical results and lack of accountability. If you are considering this surgeon, I encourage you to carefully research not only the consultation experience but also how patients are treated after surgery. My experience was one of the most stressful and disappointing medical experiences I've ever had, and I cannot recommend him.
