If I didn't initiate conversation, you best believe Atul was not going to step up to the plate. Atul DODGES questions and does not have his Client (Buyer) best interest at heart. I would not refer any of my Buyers to Atul Gupta, EVER! I give Atul Gupta-DMV Home Funding a Z E R O Rating.

Proof that the lender really matters and makes a difference, I have never experience that in any of the multiple deals I have worked jointly with Matt. His knowledge of all the available programs to help buyers with down payment or closing costs is vast. His ability to create spreadhseets that clearly show our clients their options is so helpful. I don't say this stuff about just anyone, but Justin has 100% earned my trust and thanks. I have been raving about him to anyone that will listen. He is quick to respond, knows everything there is to know (and finds answers for what he doesn't), makes YOU his priority, and does everything in his power to get you lower prices. An absolute work-horse and very kind and approachable at that. He puts in a ton of effort and puts up with all my 1000s of questions patiently. I do not think I would have bought my house without the help of Justin (closed 9/16!). He looked out for me and he will look out for you as well. Trust me.

When I went shopping to refinance my home last month, I found Rapid Eloan offering the cheapest…read morerate, and thankfully, no heavy-handed sales pitches. But there were no reviews (I see one was just added) on Yelp, which made me nervous. In the end, their rate was too good to pass up, so I took a chance (which you can do with a refi, but it's harder if you are purchasing a home, and you risk losing the house if all goes wrong). I closed a few hours ago, and I'm still gobsmacked at the rate and the ease of this refi. The title company rep who came to the house to have me sign the papers said it was the lowest rate he'd seen...and that was before I showed him how much they gave me toward closing costs. (Of course, no one is giving you anything.) The lender actually allowed the loan to "float down." So when the basis rate dropped half way through the process, Rapid Eloans got me even more money to go towards my closing costs. When does that ever happen? And when I complained that the title company they chose was more expensive than others, they got $500 knocked off the total, which made it far cheaper than anyone else in DC. Granted, my loan was pretty straightforward. I had all my paperwork in order since I had only bought the house a year prior. But Lisa, Lelya and Nora made it super easy. They answered every question I had within minutes. I hate to sound like an ad, but I've dealt with banks and brokers over the years, as I own several properties, and these people were by far the most honest and most helpful. I used them again in a second. Though at 3.375 and O points and no closing costs, that's not going to happen!

Purchasing my first home in Washington, DC was truly a journey, but one that was absolutely worth…read moreit thanks to David Toaff, his team at First Home Mortgage, and my realtor Terinee Bonds. I was originally introduced to David through Emily Atwood back in May 2019. After a minor setback, I was reconnected with him by Mr. Bill Milko in June 2022, and from that point forward the process officially began. From June 29, 2022 to December 11, 2022, this six-month journey taught me patience, discipline, and the importance of having the right people in your corner. At first, I found a condo in Northwest DC that I absolutely loved. The price was around $220,000, which was amazing for DC, but unfortunately FHA would not approve it because the HOA reserves did not meet the required percentage threshold. While it was disappointing at the time, everything happens for a reason because I later found another property for $325,000 that turned out to be the right fit for me. I was also approved for the DC HPAP First-Time Homebuyer Program along with DC Open Doors, which were both incredibly helpful programs for low-to-middle income homebuyers. I highly recommend anyone looking to purchase in DC to explore those opportunities. There were definitely bumps along the way. In August, I had to resolve my 2021 tax bill, which became part of the process. Throughout everything, David remained patient, professional, knowledgeable, and personable. He genuinely cared and always kept my best interest at heart. He also stayed on me about my spending habits, especially my DoorDash spending, making sure I stayed financially on track to successfully close. David also made sure everything was taken care of through his amazing team, Josh and Danielle. They consistently checked in with me through calls and emails at least three times a week, making sure I understood every step of the process. That level of communication and support made a huge difference because buying a home can feel overwhelming, especially as a first-time buyer. They truly walked me through the process from beginning to end and helped make things much less stressful than they could have been. What really stood out to me about David was his personality. He is truly a people person and just an overall down-to-earth guy who genuinely believes in helping people achieve homeownership. You can tell this is more than just business for him. He wants to see people succeed and become homeowners, especially those who may not think it's possible for them. That kind of authenticity matters during a major life decision like buying a home. Terinee Bonds, who I originally met through Redfin in 2019 and who is now with Keller Williams, was equally amazing. She consistently checked in, advocated for me, and helped guide me through every obstacle that came up along the way. Like David, she was personable, caring, patient, and truly invested in helping me succeed throughout the process. In the end, I only had to bring about $3,250 to closing, and I also received seller credits, which made a huge difference. I am beyond grateful for David, Josh, Danielle, and Terinee. I highly recommend First Home Mortgage and Terinee Bonds to anyone looking to purchase a home, especially first-time homebuyers navigating the DC market. Their professionalism, honesty, communication, patience, and dedication truly made this dream possible. He will really work for his clients and it's worth it. Trust his word he is extremely knowledgeable. 10/10 overall!!!

The properties I was interested in wouldn't pass a conventional appraisal, so David got me approved in advance for a specialty product of his known as Golden Ticket. We were able to buy a true fixer-upper since this program didn't require an appraisal and this allowed me to put a no-contingency offer in, allowing me to beat 2 cash offers with only 10% down! David assured the listing agent we could close in under 2 weeks, similar to a cash offer, and delivered on the promise. I can't recommend David and his team more. You will hear in his voice how sincere he is and his knowledge of mortgage products, strategies for a strong offer and reputation in the DMV market were invaluable.
