Stopped by as we drove toward the Tail of the Dragon. Wehrloom Honey had great customer service, delicious honey that you can taste before you purchase, and meads that you can try (recommend a flight!). Big plus: they are dog friendly! Also-Packard's Farm Stand was in the parking lot. Super friendly lady and her son had a variety of goods and goodies for both humans and dogs. Bought something for us (ginger snaps-oh so good) and a treat for our pup-who absolutely loved it. Stop by both of these places and support local businesses. I highly recommend both!!! read more

I was so excited to try these honey flavored sodas. It's been 3 weeks since I ordered and I still have not received my package. Aron has stopped replying to my emails. I'm tired of the "small business" excuse. You have a store but only ship once a week? Do better read more

Wehrloom Honey - Honey Near Me - Robbinsville, North Carolina

This place is awesome! Well worth a side trip when visiting sites in North Carolina. We loved the products and the mead was awesome. There's hand carved wood cutting boards, serving bowls. and homemade baskets. There's a honey tasting station with 10-12 honeys that can be sampled. Great place for picking up gifts for loved ones. There's a bar serving several meads on tap where one can try a flight and sit outside and play games provided. Highly recommend this place! AWESOMENESS read more

This is a cute little local shop with a couple of different things to do. I'm nice weather there's an area to see the bees work (wasn't open when we came), a tap room and a gift/tasting room area. The gift shop had 11 Honey's to taste and both bee and local products. I thought the pricing was very reasonable for local goods. I bought some soap for $4/bar and 8oz honey for $8. Other things for sale included Meade, local eggs, lip balm, jewelery, candles, and more. Definitely worth a stop in and would be great if you're a tourist rained out of hiking. There's a few games in the tap room and a big porch for chilling. read more

Take yourself to Robbinsville and don't leave without a visit to Wehrloom Honey. We walked in and immediately were digging the great energy that resonated from this awesome stop. They have everything from honey lotion, to honey lip balm to Honey Mead! Do not leave without doing a flight tasting of their Craft Mead made with local Appalachian Mountain Honey. We tried all six , Dry County Dry, Everybody Loves Ginger, Black "Bear"ry , Strawberry Lemonade, Pretty In Peach, Everybody Loves a Ginger. We spent a good amount of time trying all the honey and purchasing our items. Can't wait to take home my Honey and Meads. They also will ship items to your home. read more

Great place to visit when in Robbinsville. They sell soaps, lip balm, honey (of course!) Mead and so many other cool things. Great place to find a gift for someone. Easy location to find and everyone working there is super friendly. read more

The actual store was really cute with unique items and great customer service. My experience was marred by the "petting zoo". They have a dozen chickens, half a dozen goats, a large tortoise, and two cats living in a small muddy pen. We visited on a cool, wet day. The tortoise and several goats were packed into a small area trying to get by a heat lamp with the others fighting to get in. Both cats were soaked to the skin, full body shaking, and flea infested. I'm sorry that I purchased products here. After seeing those poor animals I had no desire to support any facet of their business. read more

What a unique gem inside the Smokey Mountains! The Mead was delicious but the real treats were the dogs, goats, chickens and cows! Brought some honey back home along with a custom Xmas card for a family member! read more

What a lovely place with a neat story! We were headed home from Cherohala Skyway and happened upon this cute place. You can taste several kinds of honey including infused honeys. They also have a lot of neat products including moisturizers and soaps! I love love love the moisturizer. Appalachian honey is a beautiful thing. You can also see a few hives of bees behind glass near their store! read more

Our family is visiting Robbinsville this week and we almost let this place get by us. So glad we stopped! We were advised by family (and the owners of the lodge we stayed in) to go take a look. Very fortuitous for us! In no time, I had a basket filled with loofas, soaps, a couple of different honies...they have many things other than honey! Then we decided to check out the mead tasting. (Adding pics). My husband and brother did most of the tasting and really enjoyed it! We purchased some to take home as well. After that, they showed us the short walk up to the enclosed bee observatory where they have hives with plexiglass windows so you can see the "goings on" of an actual hive. They also had some cite little dwarf goats to coo over. If you're in the area, it is a must see! Go! Glad we did! I wish I had gotten the lady's name who helped us as she was an absolute delight! read more

Awesome Mead tasting. It's not too sweet like other meads I had my favorite was their sour mead. They also have honey and I'm excited to try it out with my next tea. The lady that helps out was very sweet and welcoming. I would definitely recommend it for anyone visiting. read more

Loved this place. Definitely a rose among thorns. We were passing through the rather sad town of Robbinsville and just happened to see this place on yelp. We arrived and we're greeted very warmly. They allow you to taste everything that they have (free of charge) before purchasing. We will definitely come back. 5 out of 5. read more

Wehrloom Honey - shelves of various types of honey - Honey Near Me - Robbinsville, North Carolina

This was my first time in North Carolina. My husband and I live in Naples, Florida. We stayed a week in Fontana Village, and I was looking for interesting places to check out in Robbinsville. Allison helped us and was very friendly! We tried all of the meads on tap. They were very good! We did the flight of mead and the flight of honey. The tamales are also great! We tried both the pork and chicken. Not to mention walking away with some gifts :) The meandery has a gift shop meets brewery vibe and plenty of games to play, bags, mini bags, and Chinese checkers. Definitely worth a stop! We will be returning :) read more

Awesome! If you're in Robbinsville, stop in and check out this place. Lots to do. Eat lunch at T Dubbs, the food truck on the Wehrloom premises. They have BBQ AND vegetarian options. Go into the Wehrloom store and peruse the selection of honey products. They have everything and all of it makes great gifts! Much of it is made on site. You can see the beehives on the hill above the store. They have a tour so you can learn about bees. They've recently ventured into the mead production and it's really good. The mead is made on site and its so good that you can buy it on tap in select taprooms around western NC. But stop here and buy it by the bottle. Oh, they have a tasting room so you can sample their varieties. My favorite, Dry County Dry, rocks! Jessica and Aaron, the co-owners, are really cool people and they have a very helpful staff. So, check out the Cherahola Skyway, Tail of the Dragon, Fontana Dam, Joyce Kilmer Forest, Snowbird Creek, Lake Santeelah, fishing in the area....Dude, what ever! There's things to do in Robbinsville....and stop in to Wehrloom Honey! They are n read more

Obsessed with the honey produced here in beautiful Western North Carolina! My favorite is the hot honey and the cinnamon. The owners do a great job of educating visitors and supplying excellent products. We purchased lavender moisturizer, lip balm, three different types of honey and fresh eggs. It was hard not to buy everything in the store! read more

This place is so cool and definitely a great spot to stop by if you're in town. We got some delicious honey and handmade soap, and the prices are totally reasonable. The owners are super friendly and very family oriented, as their two young daughters were in the shop helping out and were as cute as can be! We also walked up to the honey bee observatory. They have goats, chickens, a tortoise, and bee hives behind glass that you can observe, which was very cool. Cute shop, great stuff, and the animals were awesome! read more

Such an amazing store with amazing mead and honey goods. Eric the mead man makes the best mead! I think I will have to get some shipped to me. Very Covid friendly, so just the store open at the moment I think, so didn't get to see the animals, maybe next time. All staff super friendly and great value gifts in the store. Try the honey lollipops, they are delicious and many of the items for sale are around a dollar or 5 dollars. I'm now addicted to the soap and skin balm, and of course the incredible mead! read more

Excellent honey, great service. The vanilla infused honey is my favorite.

Great friendly people with amazing products. Try their flavored honey and chapsticks. They're my favorite!

Cute store, the local honey is decent, the oils are nice, everything is overpriced. My husband and I would have definitely been repeat customers had it not been for the woman that works in the store, who gave me attitude, while she hit on my husband right in front of me. Perhaps she is on the prowl for a new baby daddy or if she's married, well we all know what those kind of women are, either way, it lacks integrity. The owners may want to find a new clerk that will not cause them to loose customers. We will not be returning. read more
