This is a cute little local shop with a couple of different things to do. I'm nice weather there's an area to see the bees work (wasn't open when we came), a tap room and a gift/tasting room area. The gift shop had 11 Honey's to taste and both bee and local products. I thought the pricing was very reasonable for local goods. I bought some soap for $4/bar and 8oz honey for $8. Other things for sale included Meade, local eggs, lip balm, jewelery, candles, and more. Definitely worth a stop in and would be great if you're a tourist rained out of hiking. There's a few games in the tap room and a big porch for chilling.

Very cute store with the friendly employees/owners. Lots of ways to taste both the honey and mead, while remaining safe during Covid. The flight of mead was delicious and the selection of products in the store was very good. Really enjoyed our stop here.

Take yourself to Robbinsville and don't leave without a visit to Wehrloom Honey. We walked in and immediately were digging the great energy that resonated from this awesome stop. They have everything from honey lotion, to honey lip balm to Honey Mead! Do not leave without doing a flight tasting of their Craft Mead made with local Appalachian Mountain Honey. We tried all six , Dry County Dry, Everybody Loves Ginger, Black "Bear"ry , Strawberry Lemonade, Pretty In Peach, Everybody Loves a Ginger. We spent a good amount of time trying all the honey and purchasing our items. Can't wait to take home my Honey and Meads. They also will ship items to your home.

If you are in the area, this is a must stop. They have all sorts of honey products in their store, a Meade tasting room, & you can even take a tour of the facility. SUPER kind & friendly staff. We will be back!

R-Ville need more great shops like this! Wow what a great family friendly shop. A great selection of honey products and prepare yourself to learn when you step inside. Owners are great and helpful. The mead (honey wine) tasting is a great experience too. This is a must stop when you're in the area.

The actual store was really cute with unique items and great customer service. My experience was marred by the "petting zoo". They have a dozen chickens, half a dozen goats, a large tortoise, and two cats living in a small muddy pen. We visited on a cool, wet day. The tortoise and several goats were packed into a small area trying to get by a heat lamp with the others fighting to get in. Both cats were soaked to the skin, full body shaking, and flea infested. I'm sorry that I purchased products here. After seeing those poor animals I had no desire to support any facet of their business.

You have to visit or you've missed out!

Our family is visiting Robbinsville this week and we almost let this place get by us. So glad we stopped! We were advised by family (and the owners of the lodge we stayed in) to go take a look. Very fortuitous for us! In no time, I had a basket filled with loofas, soaps, a couple of different honies...they have many things other than honey! Then we decided to check out the mead tasting. (Adding pics). My husband and brother did most of the tasting and really enjoyed it! We purchased some to take home as well. After that, they showed us the short walk up to the enclosed bee observatory where they have hives with plexiglass windows so you can see the "goings on" of an actual hive. They also had some cite little dwarf goats to coo over. If you're in the area, it is a must see! Go! Glad we did! I wish I had gotten the lady's name who helped us as she was an absolute delight!

Loved this place. Definitely a rose among thorns. We were passing through the rather sad town of Robbinsville and just happened to see this place on yelp. We arrived and we're greeted very warmly. They allow you to taste everything that they have (free of charge) before purchasing. We will definitely come back. 5 out of 5.

It reminded me of my childhood. I used to see sculpt candles everywhere. So anything you can think of, they have! Animals, plants, Christmas, food, dolls, and more! I was excited to see that they also make soy scented candles. I purchased the French vanilla (because it's my Mr.'s fave scent) and Crème Brûlée. I also bought a black bear candle for my friend. If you are using credit card, there is a $5.00 Minimum. I didn't see any signs if they offered classes. I really enjoyed looking around! It's worth checking them out! Pricing is definitely reasonable.

I was there supervising my kid while this took place, and this woman could have taken a nicer approach, and we would have understood. As a result, we opted to not buy anything. I might add, we weren't even welcomed by this lady when we arrived, despite bumping into her coming into an empty store. My wife immediately noticed, how this lady watched us like a hawk just because we had two young girls - appears this "lady" doesn't like children very much. Don't go there if you have children, you won't be welcomed.

"I'm selling candles, sister." -- Once Upon a Time, Season 1, Episode 14…read more What a cute little shop along Main Street in Highlands, NC. My friends and I walked in to look around during our New Years trip to the area and enjoyed perusing the store. It's small, but packs quite a bit of merchandise and quite the variety as well. I'm not sure if the store has a true theme as there was everything from candles to gift cards to jewelry to some religious themed kid's books - but everything was very nice and mostly well-priced. I will say that the battling scents of all the candles and potpourri-type items they had in the store gave me a bit of a headache (combined with the heat on full-blast), but the staff was super friendly and asked if they could help me with anything. They seemed quite excited to have just received their first review on Yelp and were talking about it while I was looking at items at the front counter (gave me and my friends a smile). I was quite excited to find glass nail files (not an easy find) which were hand-painted - also very reasonably priced. I bought myself a couple and was on my way. Making a mental note for the next time I am in the area as these are great for gifts as well. They also had some earrings that I had my eye on - very nicely crafted. Definitely one of the top stores to spend your money in along Main Street - worth a stop!

The music sets the mood, and it ranges from toe-tapping bluegrass to old-timey hymns, all instrumentals using mountain dulcimers and the like. Shoppers begin to smile and reminisce, and memories of older, simpler times often cause a story to be shared. Penny patiently listens to everybody's stories; she says that's what makes her day. She has good merchandise, nothing too expensive, because she knows times are hard. Personal service is her forte, a box, gift wrap, a little extra tissue please. Funny cards cause laughter to erupt and joy seems to spread through the store. There are lots of bears, cute metal signs, bird houses, candles, garden flags, angels galore, journals and note pads, jewelry, and ,"you know, things my regular customers keep coming back for." And come back they do. Over and over they say, "This is my favorite store. We always come to Mountain Heritage when we come to Highlands, and we always find something we like!"
