Driven past here many times but this was the first time I was able to stop during store hours. They have a myriad of items from collectibles to furniture (including outdoor furniture). This is one of the few such shops that I have visited that truly has a great balance between contents; not too much of any one type of item but enough of all items. I found their prices to be reasonable and their merchandise to be in good condition. The store itself is arranged well and is not cluttered. There are 3 floors and I didn't see an elevator so fyi on that. I read the other reviews and I will say that when I entered the shop, the gentleman in the front did not address me or even look up for that matter. I did greet him but he did not respond nor did he acknowledge my presence. Instead of jumping to a negative conclusion, I assumed that perhaps he couldn't hear well and went about my shopping. There was a lady in the store as well who was working on a piece of furniture. She seemed kind and she and I exchanged pleasantries. The only note I would make about a shopkeeper failing to acknowledge and make a shopper feel welcome is that it truly does make it less likely that the shopper will ask questions; especially if they are on the fence about an item. Such was the case for me today. However, it didn't effect my opinion of the shop overall and it will not keep me from coming back. Other notable points: wide range of items from vintage to what appeared to be newer items in the Chippy Cottage section. Good selection of vintage/antique tools, primitive furnishings, dinnerware, lighting, unique pieces, ironwork, collectible glassware, and so much more. This is most definitely a place you should visit if you are looking for well selected, well kempt, and reasonably priced vintage and primitive finds. Like I said, I will be back! read more

Great vintage finds ! Dont expect Walmart with a greeter at the door, but once you get inside and start chatting the conversations flow. We always stop in when we are in the area for our anniversary trip and we never leave empty handed. We usually stop in at least twice during the weeks stay in the area. I can wander around and just this bring back great memories of my grandparents home. All prices are reasonable and run in line with these same items in other shops in the area. read more

I really like this place for primitives and older American furniture! Fair prices for the things they have. Bought a little stool and the guy at the counter couldn't be nicer. Large shop for the area. In a cool old building! This is a old school antique shop so don't expect a Walmart door greater welcome, that's just how it is. Worth the walk read more

Hands down the best antique store in downtown Franklin (we went through them all). They had lots of interesting objects, and the staff was very friendly to my wife. our small child and me. We purchased a lamp and a couple items and the prices seemed reasonable. read more

This is one of my go to places when I visit Franklin, NC. Fantastic finds, unique items and a fun, rustic atmosphere. You will always find new old stock. I have purchased some of my favorite decor at this shop. The staff has spirit and personality. My young son showed an interest in old keys on a visit to the shop and asked a lady about them. A month later we returned and she remembered him and gave him a key and key chain. That is more than customer service. My son will remember the experience forever. read more

It has been a while since I have been to Nest Feathers but it is not because I dont like this shop. I have been there several times and Im hoping to visit again soon. The couple who own the shop are both very nice and helpful.....never had a bad experience with the staff. I love primitives and have always enjoyed looking at what they have available as their merchandise is for the most part truly antiques....not yardsale junk, as some so called antique stores are now offering. I just want to say it seems like negative people always want to take time to make a negative review and the very pleased customers don't take the time to leave positive reviews; they just tell others by word of mouth and keep coming back to shops they love! So I am going to take the time to tell everyone that this is my Favorite antique store (Nestfeathers) and I found it over 6 years ago. The owners and others that fill the 3 floors take the time to put in some really great finds to sell to the public at really great prices. We come any chance we can and bring visitors with us to shop never leaving without some cool find we can't leave behind. Three levels of antiques, vintage crap, and other things you didn't know you needed! However, no one greeted us when we perused the first floor, the second floor, or the third floor. I did have a question about a piece of furniture that I really wanted, but because of the lack of customer service, I decided to walk out without it. I can spend my money anywhere. read more

The selection of antiques are nice and the prices are fair. Unfortunately the older lady with short hair that rung us up was horrible and constantly rolled her eyes at us and gave us an attitude. When I told her how rude she was treating my family she proceeded to act like she didn't care and told me oh well. We will not be returning....these business practices are disgusting. The other lady and gentleman that works there is friendly....to there loss someone is ruining it for them! read more

I don't agree with the other two reviews! I have been shopping here seven years in a row now, and have never been treated horribly. They are a very laid-back couple but they have never been rude. I would never hesitate to send someone in and I would highly suggest you judge for yourself if you're visiting Franklin. They have some great items on 3 packed levels. I never leave empty handed. Just remember, they do run on mountain time! And they're closed Sunday and Wednesday. read more
