First of all, I've been coming to Franklin since I was 5 years old and I'm 69. I've watched this town go through good times and bad. One of the things I love is the downtown area, so quaint. Not much has changed on the outside but what used to be department stores are now being repurposed and that's Bryant's Antique Mall has done. Three floors of, well, a little bit of everything. Nice antiques, nostalgia from all eras, lots of glassware, some cool furniture, old farm equipment, books, old cameras, just a nice blend. Pricing is set by the individuals who rent the booths so you might find the same thing in several booths at different prices so it pays to look around. All 3 floors are full and nicely arranged with plenty of room to walk around in so plan to be there for while if you want to see everything. The upstairs even has a discount area with all items marked down. It's a really cool building but no public restrooms so if go you might want to stop by the Public Restrooms which are only about a 2 minute walk from Bryant's. They have a sign when you walk in the door with directions. There were 2 gentlemen there on my last visit that were helpful and will answer your questions and help you load larger items you purpose. This is a large store conveniently located across from the Scottish Tartan Museum. With so many booths, you are bound to find something, as it is 3 levels ( old department store). I found the prices to be very reasonable for the most part. They even have a clearance corner upstairs. The staff are friendly, the background music puts you in that nostalgic vintage mood. Out in the country on the side of the road is one of Otto's finest antique shops if not the only one in this category, Bryant's Antique Mall. Perched on top of a hill in plain view I doubt you can drive by and not see this business, most owners would cram all this inventory into one of the two giant buildings onsite but not these guys - there's plenty of room to browse without having to thread yourself through the merchandise. I made a right turn and downshifted the Fiat to challenge the hill as I made my way to the parking area in front of the entrance of the first building. If your driving your RV or Truck and Trailer there's a parking area in the grass where they park the U-Haul equipment. Once inside take a hard left and the booths are in your face - one word that immediately came to mind was "spacious" these buildings are ginormous. This business addresses what most antique seekers and collectors want - quality merchandise at reasonable prices. I spent more than an hour and a half here between the two buildings and believe me there is no junky items or garage sale leftovers here. I have no idea how you manage so many vendors and keep this level of quality across the board but it's working. If you're under a time crunch I'd recommend stopping here first over some of the other smaller shops, although the rule of thumb should be if you really don't have the time you probably should wait to visit when you have time to appreciate a collection of this size. Way too expensive. One tiny cup 2oz for $40. Would've bought a lot if it wasn't so terribly priced.

They have it all here! We made it through the first building but closing time came and we didn't make the second one (building). I'm here to tell you if you can't find it here you probably don't need it. Bring a truck you will probably go home with more than you expected. Seriously though we arrived 1 hour before closing and the staff was very friendly, masked up and happy to help out with our needs. There is something for everyone at Bryant's Antique Mall. read more

The southern hospitality ends after you ask to use the restroom. After driving over an hour to visit the new location in Franklin, NC I was advised there was not a restroom for customers and I could exit the building to source one. read more

The owner is one of the most rude ill-bred human beings I have ever met. I would not advise anyone to shop here or be a vendor, I asked her about several things for sale here and was treated with resounding hostility. She was also rude to my sister and elderly mother. If you don't like people, don't open a public shop...do work from the dark cave of your home where you don't have to communicate like a decent human being. read more

One of the best things about North Carolina, amongst hiking, waterfalls, and Carolina BBQ, is the abundance of Antique shops and malls. At this location, there's actually 2 huge warehouses, items all nicely displayed, not packed in so you're not worried about breaking something, and the booths are arranged in aisles and not in a maze like some. I will add that the prices in the majority of the booths are very fair, so you shouldn't have a problem making a decision if you find something that catches your eye. I bought a tortilla press for $3, and some beautiful handmade cards, 5 for $20, which easily were worth $10 each. I would definitely recommend visiting here. read more

Be aware that with the 2 buildings separated, you may find the exact same item much cheaper at the second building you visit as I did. Since the purchases are NONREFUNDABLE, be sure to shop both building BEFORE you purchase anything if you want the best deal. Even if discovered within minutes of a purchase, building #2 won't refund money so that you can purchase the exact same item much cheaper in building #1. Nor will they contact the vendor to request that he or she match the better pricing so learn from my mistake. Don't purchase anything until you go through each building as you may end up overpaying for the exact same item as I did! read more

My new favorite go to spot . Not too snobby and not too junky so a perfect medium. Prices were really fair and they had a ton of selection.
