The best grocery store by far. I love to come here because you can find almost anything you need. From foods to housewares, to flowers, pharmacy. This store is very nice, the set-up slightly different to the one I usually go, but basically the same. They have more space here for flowers. They are in the back. Steaks display a magnet for me. There's a lot of other things wrong with this store, very dirty bathrooms, the bathrooms looked and smelled awful today, the employees were dragging metal chair across the floor while people were in their lounge the other day, they use the outside tables for inside seating, the managers are very manipulative it used to be a good store until upper management started drifting away from Wegmans Policies. It's unfortunate but good thing there are other options! There are many more options and the prices are rediculous I've seen people spend $250 and only get like 10 things. The store is a drag and it's under bad management. Poor leadership. read more

Really great store! I worked at Whole Foods for awhile and now work for a cheese distributor in WA. The sushi selection is the best at the best prices I've had at a grocery store. I didn't particularly like the spicy pork buns, but different folks different strokes. The bakery was beautiful and their cakes, macarons, and GF products were delicious. And omg the Wegmans brand k-cups .... I put a bunch in my suitcase to take back to WA!! This will definitely be the store I shop at every time I come back to visit Rochester, which will be a couple times a year. (Also, they have a few imported cheeses that I can't get at my job. How?!?! Wegmans is a premier grocery store. Their stores are clean, well-organized, and customer-focused. Their name is associated with quality goods and services. Present manufacturing shortages aside, they are also usually well-stocked. Their products include typical store brands, as well as their own store brand, and even local produce. Wegmans brand products are generally very good, and they are known for their prepared foods. Their stores offer a substantial natural food section along side such services as a pharmacy, pizza/sub shop, fresh sushi, bakery, floral shop, and some even offer catering. They also have online ordering with home delivery and curbside pickup. There's also a pretty user-friendly app where you can find specials and digitized coupons. Shopping at Wegmans in Rochester, where the store was founded has really spoiled me and makes grocery shopping elsewhere fairly difficult, even with some staples slightly higher priced than other grocery stores like Aldi and WalMart. However, their store brand prices are very competitive. If you get the chance to shop at Wegmans, don't pass it up. It is a worthwhile experience that has garnered interest from international grocery stores. But, it might just make shopping elsewhere a tad less enjoyable. read more

I love the produce here! Our family shops at aldis but there are times they don't have everything or we're craving something special. The produce is awesome. A lot better than other stores in the area. Everyone is friendly and helpful as well. I also love the subs,sushi, and buffet. The buffet is can get costly. I grew up in Rochester, but now live east in Albany, NY... apparently, a market that Wegmans will not venture into. So, whenever I am home I stop by to see what a supermarket should look like. This one has a huge prepared food section that is awesome, even though I usually am just stopping by for essentials like Sal's Sauce, Voortman cookies and Zweigles hot dogs. I love their bulk section and the ability to just get small portions of things like Gummy worms (or bears, or letters... whatever is softest!) or candy. When I was younger, they offered even more things like chips and pretzels but I suppose time marches on. And I LOVE their train that circulates on the ceiling. More places in Rochester used to have them but most are gone. read more

First of all WEGMANS IS NOT ENFORCING MASK WEARING by customers. This was confirmed by multiple employees that said they were told they can say nothing. I witnessed this personally multiple times. They are not taking this pandemic seriously and they don't' respect this community and how wealthy it has made them. Wegmans is no longer stocking inventory overnight between 12-6AM when they are closed. So it's impossible to distance from the people stocking as they are blocking all the aisles. I contacted my doctor for a prescription refill. They sent in two requests and Wegmans filled both. Wegmans filled and notified me about both. When I went to pick up the prescription I was told, "Usually a doctor's office only requests one refill. Yours asked for two and that is fine, but WE WILL NOT LET YOU HAVE BOTH." I have had some terrible pizzas in my day but thank you Wegmans for beating all of them for being the worst ever. I ordered a sheet pizza which was about as thin as a credit card, burnt like they made it with a blowtorch, and toppings like a 3 yr old grabbed a handful of peperoni and tossed it on the thing from like 10 feet away. This is a really good store and I go here several times a week for bread milk groceries and sometimes gifts or to use the redbox. My only complaints are that sometimes there are people begging for money in the parking lot. Although I have seen more security in the lot and it seems to have stopped. The entry exit has people going both ways in the same isle so you frequently have to avoid running in to people. Not sure why they do this. And they run out of items which never used to happen. That aside however, it's the best grocery store around. They have a very good pharmacy, both price and quality wise. The fresh fruit and vegetables are great. And the employees are some of the best around. read more

I have shopped at Wegmans my whole life. This location is always out of stock in items. No matter what time of month or time of day. They are always out of the items I need. Which makes it super annoying when I shop. It's always seems difficult to find help in the store also back in GM. I used to work at Wegmans a while back. Our manager wouldn't be to impressed with the emplyoees if the shelves where out of an item constantly. Also I notice some of the cashiers either have no personality or are to busy chatting when they ring you out while I am standing right there. They will chit chat with another cashier next to them or a friend stops by. That is not very professional. However there are some cashiers that do a great job!!! I have been to other Wegmans that seem to do a better job. I am a little disappointed with this location. I hate to give Wegmans only 3 stars. I like Wegmans. It's fantastic. I rave about it in my review of the Latta/Long Pond location. This location is also good. It's new, looks nice, has what I need, and usually is well-stocked and has a great selection. They're all like that. I give this location a little lower score than the others because of the way it's designed and managed. First, unlike the Latta/Long Pond location, there is no one-way natural flow. This Wegmans is designed so you have multiple people walking in multiple directions, forcing them to cross paths multiple times. Walking in or out of this location is a challenge. The aisles are very vertical at the corners, which means you can't see around them. You won't know if you're about to run into somebody until you go around the corner. Having trapezoidal corners should eliminate this problem because you can see if there's anyone walking around the corner when you turn. There isn't as strong of a natural flow and order to traffic as there is in other Wegmans stores, so people are often going in multiple directions. It's also often difficult to find certain items as they're arranged different in this store than most other Wegman's locations. Even the parking lot is unintuitive and difficult to manage. People frequently have to stop to wait for oncoming traffic to make a turn into the lot, requiring people behind them to stop as well. This is a very busy area, so it often gets congested. I bet it takes me half the time to get from the main road to inside the store at Latta/Long Pond as it does here. The design of the store could definitely use some reworking. Even with minimal shoppers and traffic, it still feels crowded. The food bar is a nice option, though. Wegmans offers an assortment of pre-made food to complement the usual sandwich bar, coffee bar, six-dollar-meal bar, and other food sources. Though they tend to close early, they do offer a good variety of options and a comfortable area to sit and eat. It's bigger than most other locations I've seen. However, the food is generally unfairly priced. At about $8.50 per pound, you're paying lobster prices for fruit, rice, salad, and other common foods which should be priced much lower. I highly recommend their salads and six-dollar meals, though. read more

I've always been a huge fan of Wegmans and the Mount Read Blvd building is more or less, the same great experience that I honestly....expected. It sounds a little unusual but with Wegmans, I have rarely been disappointed or upset with the company or even its management staff. For those who haven't been to a Wegmans, they have their own fresh made produce and bakery goods with also an area for fresh-baked pizza (which is delicious If I may add) In addition, they have salad bars which happily include more then salad but are not limited to mac&cheese, chicken, and ethnic cuisines! (Asian and Mediterranean). They happily supply a comfortable café area perfect for enjoying food or silently working. Some people may be turned off by the fact Wegmans makes ALOT of name-brand Wegmans food in place of popular food products but luckily here, it is fairly balanced on what products are sold. Price-wise? Overall, it isn't that expensive even if you are buying for a large family but Saturday's are the best time to shop which is where most of the "deals" are happening. I have nothing to add but one last thing. Wegmans is simply...wonderful. read more

This place is THE WORST Wegmans I've ever been in - I NEVER go in there and get everything I want, NEVER. Today I stopped and the place for peaches was EMPTY! They had about a dozen "organic" peaches that were all bruised up. I go to the bagged salad - they have about half a dozen bags each of the mixed and Romaine. I simply detest this store and from now on I think I'll just drive the extra distance and go to Ridgemont - it's not worth the aggravation of stopping at Mt. Read. Prices are very reasonable but I went around and around several times (asking store employees directions at frequent intervals) trying to locate all the elements of a fairly standard turkey dinner. I really enjoy Wegman's. This is your one-stop shop that has everything from Chinese takeout to fresh produce to frozen pizzas to vegetarian burgers. And this particular location is on the busy Mt. Read Blvd. It's hard to give a huge review of this place because there is so much going on. It's a supermarket that really is super compared to other grocery stores. Most of the time, there are even multiple choices/brands of the item you want. Some people dislike so many options, but others enjoy that option. They have freshly baked goods every day including bread, doughnuts, bagels, cakes, cookies, and pies. They have a sub/sandwich shop that makes subs to order. Their produce section is constantly being plucked and pruned so only the best looking items remain. They have a very good cheese selection, as well as meats to accompany them. Their meat market is high quality and they also have prepared cuts that are ready to be cooked. An abundance of boxed and canned goods line the aisles, as well as a book/magazine section, household wares, cleaning agents, toiletries, etc. I could go on and on listing the stuff they have here, but I'll cut it short here, aside from a final note that their beer selection is quite nice and they have a good variety of Stone, Founders, Lagunitas, Anchor, Sierra Nevada, Victory, DFH, Ommegang, Chimay, Samuel Smith's, Pyramid, and Great Lakes. Wegman's offers employees to help bring groceries to your car upon request. They usually are very helpful when you're trying to find something or need a food recommendation of some sorts (especially in the cheese dept). This grocery store is more of a way of life and part of the everyday living of residents around here than just a mere place to get food. In many cases, it's not "I need to go to the grocery store", it has become "I need to go to Wegmans." It's a bit of a defining icon for Rochester and the general upstate NY area. The pharmacy seems like a solid pharm with people who know what they're doing, although it's hard to comment since I hardly ever have a need for medications. Overall, I think Wegmans is a great grocery store. They offer quality goods and rarely run out. I will gripe that the prices are higher than places like Aldi's or some other groceries, but I think you're really paying for a clean and organized place to shop. And sometimes, they don't have enough checkout lines open so you're waiting a good 10 minutes, especially around evening time or weekends/holidays. I lived in FL for a couple of years and I honestly missed Wegmans. I especially like that it's open 24 hours so if you're short of a midnight snack you can make a quick Wegmans run. Convenient side parking lot off the entrance near Tim Hortons. This is the closet Wegmans to me and my wife. We both love it. Clean bathrooms near the cafe area. The cafe area is great for late night studies with open high tables and larger tables for space. Spring means it's time to use the patio outside the cafe too. Also, there is no other businesses in this parking lot so you are only dealing with Wegmans parking. It's also not terribly busy like other Wegmans. I love this place! read more

This supermarket is my home away from home. Not being from Upstate New York I never understood people's allegiance to their supermarket but I'll have to admit that I have never felt about a supermarket the way I do about Wegmans. Since I grew up in Rochester there are a few places I have to visit whenever I come to visit the Roc. Wegmans is one of them being that it's been a part of my years growing up in Roc. The one Wegmans I remember the most as a kid growing up is the one in West Ave. To me that set the tone for Wegman's Future. Wow has it changed!! Wegmans is like the Saks of grocery stores. I love Wegmans. I lived in New York City for a year and Wegmans was the thing that I missed the most. There are no replacements for Wegmans flavored sparkling waters. I get a $6 meal at least once a week and always stop to look at the desserts. The lemon raspberry cake and the fruit tart are my favorites! I love the addition of the bread bar, petite pastry bars, cookie bar, and cupcake bar! The staff are always extremely helpful and friendly. I never have any trouble finding someone to ask for help and all of the employees know the layout of the store very well. One time I was looking for a vegetable native to the Caribbean for a recipe and even though Wegmans didn't have it, the person who helped me looked up substitutes and found one for me within the store. This store is always out of items. Management said they would contact me about it but they never did. The manager rolled his eyes at me when I walked in the store. He knew who I was because I complained last time about products being out (beef, bagels, simple things) and was very rude.
