As per usual, the Wegmans people go above and beyond! Placed sub tray order in am, upon arrival to pick up later afternoon, found out they'd been out of power for 4+hrs. Despite this, as I waited they made the sub tray, including fixings, grabbed rest of my order and threw in pkg of cookies for my 'inconvenience', which I wasn't really. Kudos to the staff for their positivity, their friendliness and hard work! read more

Stopped to get a sub. Waited over 20 mins just to order with 3 people total in line. Order steak sub and watched the girl preparing it. Squeeze the steak meat with her hands... It was so gross. Bloody water poured from the fatty meat. So unappetizing. I asked her, "is the meat cooked?". She said it would be toasted. Then this guy proceeded to whisper derogatory things about me to her while she was preparing my sub. Did he think I couldn't hear him? (Eye roll). read more

It's Wegmans yea.. it's Wegmans. I've been here before, I forgot about a review. This is a slightly older store . The flow inside is like the one on Caulkins Road but narrower. They have a good selection of pre made food and a nice outdoor area where you can sit and the tables also have umbrellas and oddly enough it's kind of quiet considering. Staff is pleasant and friendly. Parking is to be expected crazy it's Weggies. They are usually stocked up and the flow of customers does not freak me out. They have parking cause they are Wegmans. Cheers! read more

Wegmans - Outside - Grocery Near Me - Rochester, New York

This Wegmans in CHILI is very cautious. They have someone at the front door greeting you and making sure you have a clean shopping cart. You must wear your face cover as well, due to the Coronavirus precautions. This isn't the wegmans I always shop at, but it was really nice and clean. Friendly employees, great subs and fresh sushi. Wegmans have any and everything you would want and need for your household or business. From frozen, harvest, cooked and etc. I'm still looking for capellini and Asiago and also antibiotic free roasted turkey. I asked several people at the deli and they didn't have any. So, I'm just going to have to wait until this Coronavirus pandemic is over with and hopefully one of these Wegmans grocery stores will have it. My son and husband end up ordering a sub combo. I didn't want anything. read more

I, absolutely, love their subs! There is this one woman that no one makes a better sub than her. I only get the chicken salad sub. I use to love Debelli's sub but they screwed it up (they cut it entirely in half so you can't put as much on it. Wegmans does it the right way. read more

You just have a special connection to your "hometown" Wegmans, right? The one you went to with your mom as a child & complained until you got your free cookie? The one you want to after prom to grab snacks? This is that Wegmans for me and I honestly believe it is the best Wegmans location in town (yes, I am looking at you Pittsford location. This one has you beat!) Maybe it is my west side sensibilities or maybe it is just nostalgia, but this location has the quality in service and ease of shopping that Pittsford lacks. Chili-Paul Wegs has a super specific vibe, and every time I go in there I feel a sense of community and togetherness unlike the many other stores I've been to. This store changed layout for the better and has everything you might need. The employees here are simply the best and their prepared foods are delish. I always look forward to a trip to this location and can't wait to visit again soon! read more

Great area of town, very central. Has amazing variety of different goods, and all produce is fresh and local. Prices are getting higher than Aldi across the street, but fresh meat and produce are sometimes worth it. read more

Today I visited Wegman's in Chili and purchased a 2-pack of their large cannolis from the bakery. I noticed when I took a bite of one of them, the shell was soft, not crunchy, indicating it was not fresh. But even more troubling, was the fact that only the ends of the shell were filled with cannoli cream - the center was hollow. Both cannolis were like this. It has been a while since I last purchased these, but I don't remember them being so frugal with their ingredients. Is this shrink-flation or what? You would think for $5 that the product would at least be fresh. read more

Best place In Rochester to get your groceries, problem is they know it and prices are creeping up more and more maybe it's just the economy.

You people. You Rochester people that have the gall to complain about Wegmans. You don't know how good you have it. Hey lady, those honey crisp apples (with which we will make the best applesauce you've ever had), that's expensive to you? I want to smuggle these, AND the cherry tomatoes on the plane home with me. Even with the price of my ticket, I think I'm coming out ahead.* You there, the crotchety gentleman by the meat counter. You call this crowded? PLEASE. There wasn't even a one-minute wait to check out at prime time on a Saturday. Not to mention, Saturday is FREE SAMPLE day. That means as you navigate the enormously wide aisles full of gloriously cheap produce, there will be so many little bites offered that you'll skip lunch. And they have Salaminis. That's mini salamis, you ingrates. What more could you ask for? _____________ *This might be a gross exaggeration. Airlines gouge like no one else in this world. read more

COVID boredom continues to lead my roommate and I to explore a wide variety of Wegmans. This one is particularly far into suburban nowheredom; we thought we'd driven too far when it appeared like an oasis at the side of the road. It is quite a good Wegmans. Probably at the border of 4 and 5 stars, but I like to be judicious about my five-stars. It doesn't have the absurdity of Pittsford or even Eastway, although it does have a very large selection of cheddars in a separate wall-mounted refrigerator, and the produce seemed quite fresh. It was crowded, but that might have just been going during the day. I'd say it's most comparable to East Ave, except a bit less cramped. read more

The new self checkout system is terrible. I've spoken to the SCO staff about it and they agree, they have received many customer complaints about this terrible system, why is nothing getting done if everyone agrees its terrible? I am no longer shopping at wegmans because of how ridiculous and slow the systems are. It takes double the time it used to to cash out, and my only other option is waiting in crazy long lines. I am not going to steal, but I feel really annoyed with these machines making me feel like a thief! Get rid of them please, no one is benefiting and people are starting to shop elsewhere. read more

I just love wegmans! But in all honesty I haven't really shopped at this one to have the full experience! I was in the area and slightly hungry and decided the wegmans buffet sounded delicious! It was a Saturday afternoon around 1 o clock when I arrived to the lovely gates of wegmans! Food was on the brain and I see fresh pans of hot, steamy, delicious food being placed on the buffet line. Just looking at it put me in a food coma! Immediately I grabbed the biggest to go container I could see and just started shoveling In! I just love the various options you can select from for being such a small buffet. I always go to the Chinese portion first. My box was piled as high as I could make it with delicious sesame chicken and low main! The fried rice is pretty good too! (Wish there wasn't egg in it though!) Then fallowed up with a few crispy breaded chicken wings, yum! Looking for a nice variety for lunch and affordable? Hit up wegmans! read more

Really enjoy shopping here, once you learn the layout its really easy to shop efficiently. The front desk staff are always super helpful and will walk u to an item you're looking for. They have a sub and pizza shop as well as prepared dinners and the self service buffet bar. Also sushi. read more

It's a Wegmans....like I said....Wegmans. I have previously discussed my like of Wegmans and all of what they offer and the Chili branch is no exception to this. The same sections are ever-present here which are not limited to the baked goods, sub and pizza shop, meats, produce, and flora. I admire how well this branch is kept up, not a stain to be found...impressive no? The employees are very resourceful, much more than I thought possible. They have a "Helping-Hands" section of a job where they help eldery or people in need, carry their bags for them...that may seem generic but it works pretty well. My only complaint is the lines as some of them move slow but nearby ones speed on by...but I don't know if the employees are to blame for this so i don't let it bother me. As Wegmans goes, this is a fine branch to do some grocery shopping for the week or...for as long as you like. read more

I feel like if anyone gives Wegmans a low rating... have never lived somewhere without Wegmans. Case in point, the negative nelly who gave Wegmans a 2-star, although entitled to their own opinion, can then go shop at Tops or Big M?? Now that we live in NC, we totally miss Wegmans. We have Food Lion, Harris Teeter and Lowe's Foods... Not even on the same level as Wegmans. I love (and miss) all the departments: produce, meat, BULK, beer, etc etc. Prices actually seem reasonable compared to what I am used to. We also were able to get a (famous) WEGMANS SUB. They are so good!!! read more

You can't give wegmans less than 5 stars! It is the best supermarket by far I grew up here and I live in North Carolina now and we don't have anything that comes close The store is big, clean, well staffed, wide isles, and almost anything you are looking for They have delish house made bread, prepared meals, salads, deli, wine, seafood and Hugh meat section Olive bar, salad bar with soup They will cut meat like you want it( I had them cut me lamb chops) you can get the steaks cut to any thickenss Wegmans was the first store in ny to fight the Blue Laws in court so that we can buy beer and wine on Sunday My mom loves the motorized carts that enable her 90 year old self shop. The staff will even help her get it and return it Great company and I am a loyalist read more

Wegmans isn't my favorite grocery store because the prices are relatively higher than other stores and now they moving to only sell their products. And some of those items I don't like. However, I do like their personally made things; cheese dip, donuts, subs. So I will adventure into here on occasion for one of those items. This Wegmans in particular is my morning stop on the way to work if it is my day to bring the treats. Opens super early so I can get the freshest baked goods for my co-workers. As always, employees are beyond nice and accommodating. This Wegmans also happens to be my pharmacy so I come in here more often than other Wegmans to get my favorite items and prescriptions. read more

Staff is always friendly and helpful! Great selection of gluten free options too! Great service at the pharmacy as well.

Another great Wegmans location. Clean, friendly, well lit and well layed out. Easy to learn the store and find everything you need.

This is my absolute favorite place to grocery shop & let's be serious, buy everything else too. The deals are great, especially when buying bulk. Out of any grocery store I've ever been to (& trust me I've been to a lot, I love seeing where other people buy their groceries -- weird, different I know but it's a past time of mine) this is the absolute greatest. Chili-Paul wegmans is my store therefore I think it's the best but in all honesty each one is better than the next! And the catering or hot/cold bars hmmm I'll let you be the judge of all of that deliciousness read more

Review of Wegmans, one of its many locations. This one happens to be in Chili (for you out of towners, people here for some strange reason pronounce the town of Chili as "chai-lye" rather than "chilly") and it is nearly the same as most other Wegmans around town. It's not just a grocery store, it's a super market. A mega market. You can basically do close to 75% of your shopping here if you wanted to. If you have explored the reviews of other Wegmans, it's essentially the same. Fresh produce section, cafe section with coffee and stuff, bakery, meat market, sub shop, pizza, cold cuts, seafood, organic stuff, cheese, olive bar, canned/boxed stuff, dairy, cups, glasses, kitchenware, bathroom stuff, makeup, florist... I suppose I'll stop here because it would take probably a few more minutes to list enough stuff to cover what you can find here. Of course, I will make a special note that the craft beer selection is good for a regular supermarket. Wegmans is always clean and employees are helpful. Lines move in a fairly quick fashion (usually... there are times when the cashiers look like they're in a different world) and there is a lot of selection. It's also open 24 hours. A HUGE plus for me. We don't realize how lucky we are to be spoiled by this. I lived in FL for a while and there is hardly anything open past 10pm near where I lived. I would get home from school and not be able to go to the grocery store. So yeah. I like Wegmans. read more

Wegmans is like a cult. If you did not grow up in Upstate NY you'll find this out when you move here. I'm still disturbed by it. They sell too much Wegman's brand crap and discontinue brands I like. I'm not sure what makes people love this place so much. It's clean, super-clean, love that aspect, but otherwise it's a freaking grocery store. People act like it's Adventureland and get all excited about the place. Don't ever say anything negative about it or you will be looked at like you're insane. Just grin and say it's awesome even if you don't really believe it. Their pre-made dinners/food are GARBAGE. It' the most bland food you could ever buy in your life. Literally nothing has flavor. I don't know how they manage to make everything without flavor. Their pizza is actually decent because it's thinner crust. You'll have to throw some garlic and red pepper flakes on for taste, but for Rochester it's actually a very good option for pizza. Wegmans....ugh. read more

This review is for the beer. Nice selection but rarely fresh. Stuff sits on the shelf at room temp for months. And the craft pack is where beer goes to die. Even beer that should be fresh by a certain date is stale, lacks hops or has off flavors/aromas. I just got a craft packs recently, checking the beers dates carefully and 4/6 were duds and only worth dumping down the drain. Really frustrating. You can't take beer that has sat in warm temps and not kept cool for months and then throw it in the cooler and expect it to just be fresh all of a sudden. All their beer should be more closely monitored from distributor to customers hands and kept cold or cellared properly the entire time they are in Wegman's hands. Until they can change this I will be take my business to AJ's beer warehouse permanently. EDIT: 12/27/2016 updated their selection in the last few weeks to include several new breweries but all this has done is put more craft beer/cider on shelves and more macro cheap beer in the coolers. read more

Wegmans is always clean (a must in a grocery store if you ask me), the staff is always friendly and they have a HUGE assortment of hard-to-find items. You can get restaurant quality meals at fast food prices and speed. read more

Took off one star because of the financial/security breech of members personal information over a 2year period. I expect a local business to care more about their customers financial security over their reputation. I expect more from Wegmans. read more

I'm rating specifically Wegman's Subs. I have not tried ALL the places that serve subs in the Chili Ave area but so far Wegman's is my favorite. A little over $8 feeds two people on a large cold cut sub. They put plenty of meat, cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes on the sandwich. Personally I think they could cut the onions a little thicker. The bread has a nice flavor as well. read more

I make a bi-weekly trip here and have an great Wegmans experience here. They have a very good selection of prepared foods and they just remodeled the meat section.
