    Wegman's Assorted. Mmmmmmmm! So good!
    Sarah G.

We visited this Wegman's EVERY. SINGLE. DAY of our NY visit. We miss Wegman's since living in NC and now that we are in TX. We mainly came here for WEGMAN'S SUBS. What is it about these subs which make them so dang good?!?! Yes, we ate a sub each of the 3 days we were here. A "negative" was that the time it took to make the subs was quite lengthy each time. The workers can't multi-task and make more than one at a time so wait times ranged from 25-40 minutes each time we came. Got the kiddos some items from the hot foods bar- chicken tenders for our girls and lo mein for our boy. It's so nice to have so many options to suit everyone's taste. The other "negative" would be that we didn't feel the employees were he typical Wegman's-Friendly. Usually the staff is so helpful and pleasant. The Cafe cashiers all 3 visits were less than cordial. Seemed a bit miserable. Ah well. Still love Wegman's!

Who doesn't love Wegmans, right? I pretty much know the layout of each Wegmans and a 30 mile radius. My favorite Thing by Wegmans is that if you're in the store and you can't find an item, you can use mine and store directory and it will tell you what isle it is in. I use it all the time. Their prices are getting a little out of hand lately.. the wegmans brand items. It's rare that I go to another grocery store but when I do their prices are so much cheaper , and not just for their name brand but for the big brands. I refuse to go to whole foods stores... if you want to really see ridiculous prices go to those. I wish wegmans still had their video rental section, the red box SUCKS. They have a large variety of food that's ready to eat or ready to cook . I do enjoy their wegmans food magazine, giving ideas of what to cook.

I'm New to this location and I thought it was smaller that the ridge rd store but I sure didn't notice It had all the great Wegmans sections There is salad, pizza, subs, Mediterranean, etc. the sushi section is big and well stocked They have soups and a hot bar. Cool!! there is the cafe with its own check out! Nice! A lots of prepared food right there There are 71 types of organic produce here. (So says the poster) The cheese section is huge and so is the beer section! The bakery is always making something and there cakes looked good When I got lost I asked for help and a staffer took me right to the hidden item I don't live here anymore so I love going into these stores. You locals are so lucky to have this chain ( you have to put up with the snow)

Store Front-- plenty of parking, always.

Oh Wegmans, how I yearn for this place to open in the Boston area...ASAP. Everyone who is from upstate NY knows that Wegmans is a superior establishment that can be best described as the best of Trader Joes, Star Market, and Whole Foods combines times a trillion. Speaking of superior, you MUST experience their deli submarines (subs). They bake their bread fresh every day and they do not skimp on deli meats and all the fixins. I've lived in Boston for over 2 years now, and even being a foodies that seeks out deli subs/sandwiches, I have yet to find anything that can even compare to the greatness that is Wegmans Subs.

Normal and competitive prices for all household items, dried goods, etc that are comparable to Costco. If you want cheaper items but lower quality, then Tops is the competing grocery store in this region. Tips: this is a chain that has an advantage card thingy. The app keeps tabs of your receipts, gives you coupons, and discounts. Produce: Prices here can be a little steep- almost comparable to things at Whole Foods. However the quality here is excellent. You won't find anything yellowing and going bad on any aisle. A bundle of scallions can stay fresh and crisp in your fridge for a whole week. Depending on season, some produce can be super cheap. For example, in the summer, a clamshell of blueberries can be as low as 5.99 compared to the 6.99 at Costco- none of the berries are moldy and can last for 1.5 weeks. Their selection of herbs are a little small, but their organic section is pretty well fledged. Home goods: Toilet paper, plastic bags, etc are competitive prices to Walmart and Costco in terms of quality and price- the plus side is that you aren't stuck with bulk amounts from Costco. I find that their soaps and cosmetic prices are more competitive than Ulta and drug stores. Dried Goods: They have their own Wegman's brand item and Top Care products, and I guarantee everything here is high quality. Even the Wegman's products are as comparable to Mariani's Dried Fruits for example. Beer/Spirits: there is a side liquor store part of the Wegman's. You can buy beers inside the main store and go to the side for a side part of spirits. Pharmacy: There's a pharmacy and section with over the counter goods. THey offer the Top Care brand and the normal brand. Meats: You can buy almost every meat- hint, if you sometimes come in the morning, you can find discounted meats but still good quality. Fish can be a little pricy- I tend to lean towards Costco for my fish, but everything else is good. Dairy: Wegman's yogurt tends to trend towards the tart taste- so if you like sweeter varieties, then you can add your own sugar/jam. Eggs and milk are ok priced. I've had a hit/miss with the milk here- sometimes it goes bad faster than others. International Grocery: They do a pretty good job here providing the necessary things needed to make most goods. The prices may be 1$ more than the original ethnic store, but the goods are authentic. You can pick up the original brands of garam masala, soy sauces, European goods etc here for a fair price. IF you can't find more obscure spices, then hit up Asia Food Market or the Indian market right on west Henrietta outside of Rustic Village.

But that's changed (or maybe I just misunderstood!), and now anyone can shop here. Prices are a bit higher about $2-$5 more than other grocery stores depending on what you're getting, also know you're supporting a community focused, local business. It's not a huge place, but they've got a solid selection of essentials, and some nice specialty items too. There's even an outdoor area if you want to relax with a snack or a drink. Staff is pleasant, friendly and helpful. They have private parking lot! I'll definitely be back.

A great neighborhood, and it's decorated outside and has some amazing murals so you can't miss it. I wish I had thought to take pictures. Will do it next time. Bring your own bags. Parking was easy. I had visited this market a few times in the past when in the neighborhood but is not my usual go to market because of how far it is from me. This market has a real neighborhood feel. You know the one with fresh baked goods and a deli counter, making you fresh salads and sandwiches. This is one of the few markets that still employs butchers. The store is clean and the employees all are very friendly and welcoming. They have embraced all the covid-19 safety precautions. Everyone wearing a mask, gloves, and social distancing. Signs are prevelent explaining the protocols. Their prices are very compatible and they run weekly specials that can result in great savings. Their produce, seafood, and meat are fresh and of high quality. Now back to my roast. The butcher came out and took the time to discuss with me what I was looking for. He then went into the back and freshly cut me a roast just as I had asked for. The roast was perfect on Christmas. Very flavorable, with nice marbling. Everyone raved about it. This market might be a bit out of the way but it is worth the drive. You can tell, the owners, and employees take great pride in their business.
