Extremely Unprofessional - Repeated No‑Shows and Zero Accountability If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. This company failed to provide the service I paid for and showed no professionalism throughout the entire process. I emailed them about the issue, and instead of resolving it, they told me to call back another day and gave me a sad excuse. I followed their instructions and called back on the day they requested. They claimed they would come out "weather permitting," but on the scheduled day--when it wasn't raining or cold--they canceled by text that afternoon. They rescheduled for two days later, and once again, they did not show up. The weather was perfectly fine both times, so their excuses made no sense. This is by far the worst service experience I've ever had. They wasted my time, took my money, and never delivered the service. Stay far away from this company. Choose TruGreen or literally any other provider before dealing with this one. read more

Horrible... booked the quoted service for aeration and seeding via their email but was informed the price wasn't real. I asked where it says anything about pricing may vary on their email and the "sales manager" was extremely rude and had no sales skills at all. Basically said screw you to bad. Moved here from Florida and hired WeedMan. Fired them this year because they can't follow my simple request. Their office staff treated us like crap and I don't intend on paying people to treat me this way. After we fired them, still had to go out and stop a technician from doing our lawn because management and communication is so poor. Left hand doesn't know what the right is doing. read more

Yes, they did take care of the weeds. The techs were generally helpful and pleasant. Even though I constantly reminded them to call before service due to the fact I have dogs it was always hit or miss on the calls. Issues started when I had grass die offs or no growth after seeding. I have called them out on three occasions over the two years and had three different reps out here and received three different stories as to why we were not seeing results. After two years of service it just isn't worth the cost. read more

I have used Weed Man, Winston Salem for about a year (2023 - 2024). My suggestion to future clients would be to always insist you are at your property on the day they "say" they are doing your treatment AND more importantly to WATCH the technician actually do the work. A sign in your yard is not proof they have done the work. Some tech are honest some are not. Also a picture of their truck in front of your address does not mean the work was done. Trust but verify. They do not get all the way to the edges so I am still weeding my lawn and yes they have missed treatments, charged me, and did not offer to fix the issue. read more

I have been a Weedman customer for approximately 5 years. I will start by saying I think they do a good job with the basic service for the yard. If I have have broad leaf flare ups, I call and usually within a week they send someone out for an additional treatment. I have never had a year without some crab grass but it is much better when they treat than when it went untreated. I do have two issues. I purchased a mole treatment one year and from what I could tell it did nothing. I would not recommend the mole treatment. The other issue is around additional sales calls. I got a sales call on a day I was working and agreed to a lime treatment which is not part of the basic plan. I usually do these myself as lime is cheap and not toxic. I was confused about what they were coming to do and called back a couple of hours later to ask what they were coming to do. He explained it was for lime, but I was not clear that this was an additional cost. When the bill came I spoke to the office and they sent me the recordings of our conversation. I did pay for the treatment as i technically agreed to it. I also asked that I receive no further sales calls. I would encourage any new or existing customers to do the same, call the office and decline any future sales calls. read more

I have used Weed Man approx 10 years. Over those years I have repeatedly requested that they call the day before applications. Their compliance has been 50/50 even though they indicate my account is marked . Today I happened to check my account online and discovered that my Basic plan of 5 applications a year had been increased to 7 applications for 2023 along with a $375 yearly increase with NO notification. When question about the 2 additional yearly applications the company associate said the minimum Basic application program is now 7 applications, however, they would be glad to provide me the 5 yearly applications but I would be responsible for letting them know each year to correct my account otherwise I would be charged the 2 additional applications. I don't have time to babysit this company. read more

I have had to repeatedly chase down their representative (Justin Moormann) multiple times trying to start their service, only to finally give up for lack of professional follow-up and frustration after several weeks. I guess the owner of this Weed Man (franchised location) (weedmanusa.com) cares less about their reputation? I will contact the Weed Man Corporate office in Canada to report this matter so they can decide what and if any disciplinary action should be taken. I am sure that Weed Man corporate will protect their online reputation in the USA for franchisees who actually care! I worked with them for a little over a year. I've put much thought into how to leave this review. I haven't had a completely negative experience with them. There are positives with weedman. I do think they use quality seed. I do think they mostly know what they are doing. But I also think they have a lot to learn about their business in several areas. In short they burned parts of my lawn, admitted is partly, attempted to fix it, fixed parts of it and aren't willing to fix the difficult areas in the shade. Nor were they willing to sod the areas that are tough because "it's easier for us to do see since that's what we specialize in". NOT WORTH THE TIME OR MONEY The on site techs that spray and do the hard work were very nice in explaining how they had made several complaint attempts to main office on the shape of our lawn. It was a very small portion but the front main area of our business. They also placed their yard signs to make sure that everyone on this main road knew who was doing such a horrible job. The techs submitted pictures but no management stepped up until time for next year renewal. A new representative came by to check the status of the yard because I refused to renew until they made good on last contract and still he could not take responsibility instead just wanted to sale additional services. read more

We have used this service for a few years with minimal results. The final straw was their spraying while it was pouring rain. We have attempted to call twice to discuss but we have gotten no response. With as many options as there are for this service choose wisely. read more
