I made a same-day reservation on Open Table and was seated immediately. I ordered the scratch soda in guava, as that was the current seasonal flavor. It was delicious!! I'm not sure how homemade soda tastes better than normal soda, but I thoroughly enjoyed the drink especially with the flavoring. I ordered the goat cheese burger that comes with balsamic onion, lemon aioli, and fries on the side. I know goat cheese can be pungent and not palatable to all, but I've had it in burgers before and loved it so I thought I'd try Founding Farmers' rendition. I was actually not a fan. I knew I don't like onions and asked for the balsamic onions on the side, but I think I was most turned off by the lemon aioli layered with finely cut lettuce. I usually don't think I'm a nit-picky person, but I think the aioli made the lettuce soggier. I overall didn't love this burger's composition. Aside from this, the patty was juicy and tasted good with the goat cheese which was the main objective of the burger anyway. All in all, I think Founding Farmers is still a worthwhile restaurant to check out while in DC, but I won't order this particular dish again.

The salt levels were unbalanced in my juicy Lucy burger, the cornbread was lacking any sweet, the falafel burger was too think and had a dry patty, my Paloma needed fresher grapefruit that hadn't been soaking in simple syrup, my friend found her gnocchi heavy and lacking herbaceousness and acid. Not one dish clearly succeeded, except bizarrely the cinnamon sugar bacon lollis. The wait staff is relaxed and attentive, while the vibe inside is of hungry diners having (just) a good time.

However, on a recent trip coming back home, I made my way here to kill some time as I had the day off from work. First things first, what a nightmare to find a parking spot and to not get run over by traversing the parking area. I thought I had gone the wrong way at one point to find a spot. And when I did find a spot I was confused and thought I had to pay to park. I wish it were just easily marked on where to go here. Once parked, I found my way inside and just meandered around the space. Popping in an out of stores as I saw appealing. They really do have a ton of selections here. Huge amount of time can be lost here if you are on a time crunch. I was in no rush, so I wandered around until I had my fill of the space. My suggestion to you. Come early in the morning, you will definitely be able to get in and out of each store you need to with ample time. Less hassle in the parking lot. And less hassle walking between stores. Or, if you are up for it, travel here by Metro.

Its close proximity to…read moreDC and a nearby metro station make it an ideal location for tourists who want to go shopping in a relatively safe area. It's ever changing as many stores have come and gone. Nevertheless, this is my favorite mall to visit when we make our annual trip to DC. Tysons Corner is located in Tysons, Virginia. The parking structure is very busy and somewhat chaotic. It doesn't have the best layout and there's a lot of confusion as people maneuver through the structure. We bypass this situation by parking on the upper level. Tysons Corner is an incredibly busy mall that never seems to be empty, regardless of the time of day that you visit. This is a three story indoor shopping mall that caters to customers who want to spend serious money. They have your typical stores like Old Navy and Journeys. But then, you'll find Cartier, Louis Vuitton, and Rolex. So, there's something for everyone! Their food court section on the top level near the movie theater has seen better days. It's outdated and hidden away from the rest of the mall. All of the other eateries on the 1st and 2nd levels are pretty nice. They have restaurants like Seasons 52 and Cheesecake Factory that you'd typically find at many of the larger malls. They also have some pop up eateries in the center of the shopping center. I love coming to Tysons Corner. I am still bummed about LL Bean leaving this mall. but I still love this mall. Some stores have moved to different locations within the mall, so make sure that you check the updated directory. The best times to visit Tysons Corner are either early in the morning or about an hour before closing. If you want to get some shopping done while in the area, Tysons Corner is the place for you!

I started at the bar while awaiting the rest of my party. I enjoyed a glass of brut rose and complimentary popcorn. The popcorn is nothing short of amazing! I had an opportunity to introduce some and reacquaint others with why OCEAN PRIME is one of the best restaurants for service, food, and cocktails. When we arrived, not only did we have an amazing greeting from staff who gave us every impression that we were the most important people in the restaurant. Our server was beyond top-notch. Tiana set the standard for how a server should engage thoughtfully and helpfully. We had the iconic berries and bubbles, black, orchid cocktails, glasses of wine, and, of course, the goat cheese ravioli. For main entrées, we had an amazing special of lobster and scallop risotto, and Ribeye steaks, both Oscar-style and plain. Our side items were the jalapeño, gratin, potatoes, lobster, mac & cheese, brussels sprouts, and broccoli. The pace of service was perfect. We had plenty of time to enjoy the cocktails, appetizers, and dinner. The food came out extremely well seasoned, hot, and to everyone's liking. The general manager, Tim, took time to come by the table to make sure everything was going well and really put the icing on the cake by ensuring our entire experience lived up to the Cameron Mitchell brand. Truly, a night to remember
