Cue Pain Away. This place was a wild 30 minute ride. I went in for neck pain after a colleague at the gym recommended it. I walked in and the only words exchanged were "how long?" "30 minutes" I reply. A woman spawned from nowhere and guided me to a room where she signaled to get undressed. I did so, laid down, and the massage begun. This woman came back in and I was tense for the next 30 minutes. She put her whole backbone into this massage. I was in a constant state of pain, letting out squeals here and there. Nevertheless, she persisted. At the end of the 30 minutes, she stopped as abruptly as she started. Sweet relief. I walked out to pay and she handed me water. It was nice. I waited until the next day to write this review because my neck truly does feel a LOT better. So, Pain Away did its job, and I would certainly come back!

They used some scalp torture instrument. I had to ask her to stop. The end couldn't come soon enough. It is a gift that keeps giving.... Dr. Liu is a very decent and professional doctor who has been working in this field for 20+ years, about 12 of which was spent in China where the authentic acupuncture treatment rooted in. He is very knowledgeable about the right treatment in acupuncture. The first time I took the treatment there for a shoulder pain, he gave me acupuncture followed by sucking cups. When I left the office, my shoulder feels like a new one! So I started continuous treatment there since then. I later learned that his acupuncture does not just cure pain, but also help with sleeping difficulties, even pollen allergy! I slept better when he gave me a few needles treatment on my head! This is really amazing acupuncture office. He is very busy and I feel lucky that I can find a Chinese doctor who really understand what a real acupuncture is. His office is very quiet and comfortable and clean. All in all I highly recommend it. If you go there you might want to try the massage/Tuina treatment which works too.

I was flexible so this didn't bother me and they also did not require card to book. They do ask you to pay when you arrive, before you receive the service. I paid $75 total, $60 for the service + $3 fee to use credit card (they have an ATM) and $12 tip. The massage itself was great. My whole body was worked on and medium pressure was more than enough for me. They even did some facial and scalp work which was a nice touch. You get your own room for the massage. Also, it may have just been my experience, but the walls are thin and you can hear a lot of passing voices and footsteps from outside the room and also outside of the building. Overall I recommend this spot for someone who doesn't necessarily want to pay a premium / need any of the special scents or products / frills but still wants a good quality massage.

First she asked me to pay before receiving service, then pressured me to pay in cash instead of card saying that it's not worth it to pay by card because of the extra credit card fee. Then she asked for a tip before I even got the massage. I gave $5 and she said "wow that's not very much" in mandarin. Then she proceeded to give me the massage which just felt like she was rubbing me with oil. She said she was going to use a particular oil that was more expensive and kept saying it's a special oil and she only uses it on special guests. Then asked for more tip at the end. I was uncomfortable the entire time given the social interaction with her and the massage was terrible. If you'd like to engage in awkward conversations while having someone rub you then this is the place to go.
