Small massage salon located in the heart of downtown Philadelphia. If you don't pay attention you might easily miss the entrance. It's located nearby above Luke's Lobster rolls. I first found this place through a Groupon deal and after seeing all the great reviews, decided to book a Couples Massage session for 60 minutes. You can only call to book 3 days in advance for your appointment. Clean facility, friendly staff, and great masseuse! You want to arrive about 15 min before your session, and the staff started very promptly and went the entire 1 hour. You can add hot stone for extra but we decided against that. I later found out that they have a cash deal that's basically the same price as the Groupon deal! You can refer to my photos for the pay with Cash service discount price. At the end the front staff didn't pressure us to tip but of course we did because we really enjoyed our service! I came here for a couple's massage, and overall I would say it was OK. My first experience of the spa itself was colored by the lack of congeniality from the receptionist. Calling to make an appointment, there was no warmth in her greeting and it was the same upon arrival to the spa. Both my husband and I said "Hello," before anything else, and got "Do you have an appointment?" as a response. Hello and a smile can go very far. The massage therapist with a mouth full of food took us to our room, and told us what to do. No water was offered upon arrival. We were just told to get undressed. The massage itself was good, just at times repetitive. I kept expecting for the massage therapist to tell me to flip over, but that never happened. I always interpreted full body to mean both sides of the body. But perhaps I didn't read the fine print closely enough. The pressure during the massage was fine. I would say it was a bit rough at times, but I conveyed to her when I needed less pressure, and she was good about softening it for me. My husband, on the other hand wasn't thrilled about feeling hurt by the massage. That was a little disappointing considering it was his first one, but I think some guidance pre-massage for massage new-comers would help people like him know what to expect. Afterward someone, maybe the manager, asked us about our massage and offered us small cups of water. I thought that was nice. Her level of care and concern should be adopted by others on the staff, as I feel that would be very helpful. read more

Calm environment, came for a walk in at 4:30pm did the 60 min. reflexology foot massage and I wish I asked for her to use more pressure. She was very gentle, I get a more satisfying massage at the nail salon. If you want a gentle massage this is the place for you. It was $55 and cash only which I didn't know. I only had $60 in cash at the time so I just told her keep the change. She said the minimum tip was 20% but I was not about to use their atm to get any money out from my card, but I just left. read more

I mean, it's no Vegas foot spa ($22/hour) and it's no L.A. foot spa ($15/hour!), but for around $40/hour it's about as good as you're going to get on the East coast from a value-to-cleanliness-to-service perspective. This place was a little nicer a year ago when they had Yelp check-in offers ($39/hour for feet and body with free hot stone treatment) and now the same service is $45, and they are not really cash-only, but they will charge you a credit card convenience fee. The last thing the girl who made my appointment said to me was, "Remember to bring cash." You will also have to pay in advance... I believe Cracker Barrel got sued for $100 million for requiring this? Now the bad: They started my massage at 6:42pm and ended at 7:38pm. Minus one star for stealing 4 minutes! And there are no clocks in the rooms so unless you check, you have no idea when they start their countdown timer. And they really should get rid of the weird vinyl floormats they place at the end of their massage tables - I presume it's purpose is to keep the table from getting wet? It's definitely an uncomfortable material to rest your feet on - it's cold and slippery, and made me feel like an animal in a butcher shop. It's actually so off-putting that I would probably not recommend this place to anybody but close friends who I don't think will be bothered by this. Also - an odd thing happened here that I've experienced in a handful of the foot massages I've gotten over the past year: the background music was stuck on *Repeat 1*. So in this case, the same awful 4-minute instrumental flute song played over-and-over the entire time and because I don't speak Chinese I wasn't able to tell them what the problem was. I can't believe they didn't notice. This also happens in a lot of restaurants that don't really give a shit about music and just want something playing in the background. Lastly, remember to tip. For those not in the know, a 20% tip is a pretty bad tip in the world of foot massages. For a 60-minute massage, plan on tipping at least $10 per person if you didn't like it, $15 per person if it was okay, and $20 per person if you liked it. Because in this world, the person rubbing on your feet doesn't see a dime of the menu price. (Part of the reason why it is so reasonably priced.) In Vegas, tipping 100% on a $22/hour treatment is completely normal. read more

Got a Groupon for $45. Called the same evening and got an appointment for the very next day woo hoo! Got here around 6.20pm on a Tuesday evening. They took me in right away. 30 mins back massage 30 mins legs and it included hot stones massage as well. This isn't your fancy massage-envy type place! But the massage is THE BEST! I am disappointed though that I paid $6 extra for "hot stones".. without hot stones, I could've gotten the same massage for $39. I'll definitely be back here. Such an awful experience. The massage therapist took forever to come into the room. When she finally entered, there was no introduction, no "So why are you here?" She just went straight for it, pummeling my back and neck. While checking in, I requested a Swedish massage. This was certainly deep tissue. I asked her to stop, but she understood literally zero English. She kept going, further aggravating the back pain with which I had entered. The therapist finally stopped when I raised my voice. I was in agony (still am), and couldn't breathe, as she -- multiple times -- forcefully pushed my head through the table hole. My main issue is the therapist not speaking English. I'm not some Trumpian asshat, but it's critical for someone providing this sort of service to communicate with clientele. This woman didn't even understand "please stop." I strongly recommend against visiting this place. Simply terrible. read more

The lady was sweet but I paid to feel relaxed, not experience pain the next day. It went from uncomfortable to painful and I told her it was hurting me. I came here with a Groupon but then as another reviewer mentioned, I realized after it is their normal price. I was able to get an appointment the day after calling which was great because I am a fairly last minute type of person. I was led into a kind of normal massage room, and I didn't realize until a few minutes into the massage that the room next me was separated by a curtain. It was pretty odd to hear the massage taking place next to me. The 30 minute deep tissue was exactly that. I felt like I was getting my ass kicked and finally had to tell her to go softer. It wasn't the best massage I had but I felt like she got the areas that bother me. The foot reflexology was nice but I kept getting distracted by the timer going off next to me. Then with the massage over next door, the customer took like 5 minutes digging through her purse for money, counting out coins etc. It was very noisy and pissed me off. Then the masseuse next door came back to reset the room and proceeded to have a conversation with the girl doing my reflexology. It was very odd. This is not a spa so please don't come expecting one. ReLet's is tucked away above Luke's Lobster, which used to be Shoo Fry, which used to be Underdogs... it's one of those cursed corners in Philly where you see a new business every year or so. ReLet's must have missed the bad luck being two stories up, because this place is a hidden gem. First of all: heated massage tables. A huge deal for me, a perpetually chilly 5-foot lady. Secondly, I asked my masseuse to go gentle on my feet, and she truly was gentle. My boyfriend is one of those people who prefers a massage to be more like a beatdown. Not me. I like soft, steady touches, and my masseuse nailed it. Really appreciated that. I got my own room (which is great, some spots in Chinatown and along Washington Avenue sometimes just pull a curtain around you in a common area), and it was clean, warm, dim, and has lovely music playing. What an absolute treat. Fair warning though: reading some of the other reviews here, not everyone gets their own room. Grab a Groupon and go! read more

The place is on the smaller side and is definitely a no-frills type of massage parlor. You can hear people walking around and talking. While that takes away from the relaxation part a little bit, it's not a huge deal if you know what to expect. The massage itself felt great and was just the right amount of pressure. The massage is 30 min on legs and 30 min back/full body. I didn't love the hot stones part and probably wouldn't get that next time. The room itself was pretty clean with calm lighting around the room. The massage therapist did a thorough job of releasing the tension in my especially my feet. Most massage therapist don't push hard enough so I appreciated the amount of pressure applied on the muscles. Out of all the massages I've gotten, ReLet has the most affordable and solid services. Yes they use timers, yes the walls are a bit thin where you can hear outside but I came for a 90 min deep tissue massage, To release tension. Coco did an amazing job. Made an appointment for Saturday, got there a little early and the appointment started about 5 minutes after the start time and lasted the full stated time. My Groupon was for a 90 minute foot reflexology and deep tissue chinese massage. Both were great, my masseuse really got into the spots, which I needed, because it had been forever. Would I go back there, absolutely, it's a no frills, get a massage type of place. The women performing the massages came in and except for asking us to disrobe, did not ask any further questions or determine our preferences. The massages were very hard - I prefer a medium level, but my husband thought it was perfect. The massage was split into 1/2 foot massage, 1/2 full body. The hot stone portion was so nice.
