I put my daughter on the waitlist at Wee Care Learning Academy to attend once she turned 2. I got a call 4 weeks ago that there was a spot open and I was the third person she called, so first come first serve. So we eagerly went in, asked our questions and paid the required $570 deposit (registration fees + two weeks tuition). After contemplating our decision, my husband and I decided we weren't ready to send her. One week had past and we called the office, we were told that we wouldn't get a penny back. This is still 2 weeks prior to her start date. I never completed any registration paperwork, but I signed one document saying my deposit is non-refundable. We called several times even talking to the other business owner, and was still told they have a "policy" for this reason! This policy is shameful! Their non refundable policy is only in place so they can monetarily take advantage of people. They are preying on families making the very difficult decision of where and when to send their child for care in the middle of a pandemic. I pleaded to have some compassion considering we are in the middle of covid, I gave a two week notice and they have a waiting list they could easily fill the spot with. Hoping I could get the 2 weeks tuition back. I was told that they would potentially waive the registration fee (which I already paid) if we chose to have our daughter come there in the future! Just wow- this isn't a materialistic object I'm trying to get a refund for, this is the care of my one and only daughter! It is clear that my child would've been nothing more than a paycheck. So the silver lining in all this, is that my child will never step foot in that place and I hope to prevent other families from going through this. As they said they have this policy because this has happened before- well this is a special community down in Key West, and I will make it my mission to make this community aware so that no other parents get caught in their trap! I cannot speak negatively for the employees, caregivers or learning practices at weecare, this is merely a reflection of the ownership and it's core values as a business! read more

Wee Care is the best! Every staff member has put me at ease with placing my daughter there. It is a very difficult decision and to think that a pandemic is going on, but I felt so comfortable signing up my child to this pre-school. One of the most comforting things for a first-time parent especially is that I can monitor her at any point of the day. It eases my anxiety just being able to look over at my monitor and being able to see her. read more

My daughter has been going to WeeCare for almost 2 years and I am very sad to say that her time there is coming to an end. She will be starting VPK for the upcoming school year. I cannot begin to express how appreciative I am of how much of a positive impact the entire staff at WeeCare has made on her. She is taught age appropriate curriculum on a daily basis in which I have no doubt will make the transition to VPK/Kindergarten that much easier for her. I know she will excel because she is being properly prepared. The entire staff has always been very friendly, informative and helpful. The facility is always clean and they keep the cleanliness to high standards. I highly recommend WeeCare for anyone considering daycare for their children. You will not be disappointed! read more
