I hate being the only person who didn't have a pleasant cut with Pari but I felt it important to share my experience. I'd like to preface by saying that she is very kind and this review has nothing to do with her as a person. I found Wednesade on Yelp and decided to give it a try (cut no color). My hair was above an above-the-shoulders blunt cut. The cut was average - took off more than I asked for and essentially got rid of my a-line (although I expressed that I wanted to keep it). I was not planning on going back but she offers "free bang trims" so I thought I'd give it another chance. Apparently free bang trim means "feathering" so my blunt look completely disappeared. Perhaps in the industry those terms are synonymous, but I did not appreciate finding that out after the fact. When I got my hair styled a few weeks later for my birthday (not at Wednesdae), the stylist told me the entire back of my head was uneven and choppy. I think some of these issues could be fixed with a consultation and more communication from the stylist (for future customers). read more

Teren's pretty intuitive and will work with you to really bring out your your hair's best. She makes suggestions but won't do anything you're not comfortable with. I always leave with great hair. I'm afraid everyone will find out that this is absolutely the best hair cut and color that I've ever had, and I'll never be able to get in again for an appointment. But, I just gotta do it. Par is the best!! I had serious issues trusting someone to cut my hair in SF (as I had the same stylist for 15ish year prior)... after a few fails, I found Par!! I totally trust her with my hair - I recently chopped off 13 inches and had par give me a good style and I couldn't be happier! On top of which... the new space on Pacific is awesome! It is such a well designed space. When I am there, I dont need entertainment, I'm very content just chatting with Par, but I was informed there was an iPad with any magazine I could possibly imagine. I had a balayage appointment with Pari a few weeks ago, and she's amazing! For starters, I was probably 30 minutes late thanks to a combination of Muni, Uber, and other disasters (sorry!). But she was very understanding. I had never dyed my hair before, and I made the appointment before I was really sure what I wanted. I followed David here from Mike Page Style Lab and I will follow him anywhere he goes. He has been doing my hair for 6 months or so now, and I am obsessed! He always listens carefully and transforms my hair into an even better version of the vision I came in with. I have been growing my hair out for a few years now, and he always respects my paranoia and never cuts off more than I ask him to (which I have found to be an extremely rare and valuable quality in a hair stylist!). Teren is so incredibly talented! I initially started going to her when she was styling hair at Urban Roots, and was so impressed with her ability to do my hair that I followed her when she moved to Wednesdae salon. I have very curly, mixed hair and there are so many bad experiences that I've had with stylists who don't know how to work with it. Then I found Teren! She is attentive to each curl, very detail oriented and gives my hair much needed TLC. I have never been disappointed with a haircut from her! More recently I got a balayage done for the first time by Teren and I loved the whole experience! She was patient, explained every step, and told me what was doable with my type of hair so it wouldn't get as damaged from the bleaching process. I loved the outcome! I had been seeing one stylist for the past few years that I loved, but it became quite difficult to get appointments with him due to our different schedules. After looking up tons of salons on yelp, I came across wednesdae. Both David and Pari had glowing reviews, so I booked an appointment for a cut. I had long hair, but wanted a change. Even though she was running a little behind schedule (and I was her last appointment on Saturday night), she did not rush at all with me. First, I have to say that I can ALWAYS find a parking spot, which is super important in this city. Pari is the best, she always listens to exactly what I want and makes it happen. She really is a master of color. We went from my natural dark blonde to ice white. I was nervous before doing it but she really impressed me. My hair is still so strong and not fried at all. I feel so lucky that I found David to do my bridal hair and make-up for my wedding a few weeks ago. I had been scouring Yelp and was having a hard time - a lot of the pictures I saw had way overdone styles and I was losing confidence I'd find someone. Then I was referred to David by a friend and my worries were over. David is a true professional - he listened to what I wanted, perfectly executed on everything and was always timely with emails/communications. And David is just really nice, friendly and easy to be around. We met about a month or so before for trial run at his salon, which is such a relaxing and beautiful place to be - everything from the tea, music, decor has been carefully chosen. I explained that I don't wear make-up other than a light base of mineral powder, so wanted to go with a very natural feel. (i.e - not a ton of foundation, no fake eyelashes, and no drastic colors). David totally got it and picked colors that I would have never thought of - a beautiful coral lipstick and copper accents on my eyes. And foundation that looked and felt natural, yet accentuated my features. And the hair was an upsweep in the back and some texture in the front. David checked in a few weeks before the wedding, we agreed on a few changes and set a time for the day-of. He arrived early and got to work, putting me at ease with light conversation and letting me just relax and be quiet when I needed to. He recreated the trial run with the small tweaks we'd talked about and I almost cried when I finally looked into a mirror - he went beyond my expectations and I looked and felt beautiful. Despite taking some photos in the rain before/after the ceremony, everything held up perfectly and I received so many compliments on how natural my make-up was and how my hairstyle fit perfectly with my dress and overall look. This is a testament to how skillful David is and how he doesn't skimp on the quality of the products he uses. I don't write many reviews (as you can tell), but when I do take the time to write one, it's because I really care. I first found Par when I got a LivingSocial deal for Mike Page Style Lab. I pretty much left it up to her to do what she will with my hair and I have never looked back. She styled my first ever straight front bangs and I've been coming to her ever since. So when she got her new place (which is housed in a beautiful building and uniquely decorated to Par's wonderful eclectic taste), I naturally followed her. I came to Wednesdae for the first time last night, and I've never felt so at home and at ease with a hair stylist. She'll offer you tea, wine, hot tottie, water, make sure you're comfortable, play your favorite music (it was a Passion Pit kind of night) and enable you to just let go and have her take care of you and most importantly, your hair. I always go to Teren to get my hair cut. She is super friendly, laid back, and I love her style (her hair is amazing!). Teren is always willing to listen to what I want and she is cautious when I decide to try out a totally new style... she keeps me in line since I can be a little impulsive when wanting to try a new look. I always enjoy my conversations with her and I also love listening to the other stylists chatting- everyone's super cool and friendly too. I am always happy with her haircuts and they grow out beautifully (this is essential because I probably wait too long until my next visit). Parking could be better but I usually find a spot after circling once or twice. David first graced my hair with his glorious talent 3 years ago, and I never looked back.
