I called for an appointment. Was told to bring all documents. Arrived with everything they needed. Inspection went good. Then came the bullshit! I knew it was going to be something. They claim they can't give me an offer on my car but $300!!!! They told me in 2006 someone out the wrong mileage on the car when they titled it or something like that. Who knows and who cares! The worst experience ever with a business with poor business practices. I'll admit I arrived 10 minutes late due to extremely bad weather where I was coming from. This Chris had a sour attitude upon my entry into the shady looking building. I quickly noticed he has no people skills at all. He's simply a salesman that's been prompted to say certain key words to try to make customers feel like he's a genuine human being. But he's not! He was rude in tone and presence. If I attempted to ask a question outside the scope of his programming he scoffed me With his wicked scowl. Car started out the day clean from garage but after driving through the rain for an hour it became spotty at best with road dirt and rain mixing together. Then upon arriving at the We But Cars location in the middle of a junk yard it really got muddy. On top of that I hit a massive pothole coming into the site because all the potholes from semi trucks were filled with water from so much rain fall. This caused my tire pressure light to engage. He told me he'd have to take a hit on my car because the traction control light was on, which is not true. No lights would've been on had I not had to drive through landminds to get to the location! not my fault the office is in the middle of a junk yard. After 45 minutes of this jerk pointing out so called issues with my prestigious Lexus he walked away and sat at his desk as I waited for approximately 8 minutes or so with no word from him on how to proceed. Ultimately, I was initially offered $12k for my car but after he finished his overview I was offered $5k. This is ridiculous for a car with very low miles, a market screaming for quality, and a superb maintenance record. He pointed out several times that I was in an accident where the police were called. I informed him that they usually are called to accident scenes. Of course he didn't like that either. Overall, this company would never get their hands on my property. Good thing I'm not in dire need to sell my car. such jerks give businesses bad reputations all the time and this is a prime example. read more

It's a HOAX You get an email listing the "Estimated price your car would sell for" under the guise that they would pay you this much for the car based on their review of the condition. When you speak to an agent you are told this is the amount they would sell you car to the public for - not the price they will pay you. They valued my beautiful black 2011 Ford Edge SEL AWD with only 176k miles on the online quote at $3200. (already $800 less than KBB.) But, I went for my appointment in Lebanon TN and never told the salesman (Todd) that I had be an award winning car salesman at one of the biggest TN dealerships in the state. He was very suspicious in the way he tried to make everything a big deal, and when I tried to ask he would continually speak loudly and interrupt me. So, I just played dumb and gave him enough rope. We went out and he took about 45 minutes to inspect every little piece of dirt and touch everything that looked like it may be damage. He had an instrument that he said tested paint for new paint over damage. He went over the car with a fine tooth comb trying to fabricate problems to devalue it. We finally went in and it took forever for him to try to justify all the reasons and excuses why the car was not only worth over a $1000 less than what they originally offered me, but now there is an undisclosed $350 doc fee even tho they had never disclosed it in the beginning. Then, his loud constant interruptions pushed me over the edge. I gave him a figure that was my bottom line ($2900) even and he said he would call. I picked up my paper work and went to wait in the car. He came out and again with the excuses and negotiations for far less. I shut the window and drove off. After calling me 3 more times and claiming he was my friend (LOL!) I told him if he calls again I would file harassment charges against him and the company. Then when I got home, I got another call from the corporate office wanting to know why the sale didn't happen. Again I told him I will file charges if they didn't stop calling me. Then told us that the best they could do was $700 (actually $799 less $99 processing fee). Gave some story about miles not input correctly on quote and market being slow. Price was still $200 better than quote from delivership so we sold. Next morning I input vehicle info including mileage on website and received quote of $920. I never read any negative reviews until today. I had a hard time believing that I could be the only one who dealt with what I dealt with or felt the way I felt. As I was getting out of my 2008 Dodge Ram 1500. The very first remark out of this guys mouth ( this is what I will call him ) was " You know most dealerships consider it an add when after market tires and rims are put on a vehicle. I took this a his way of saying in my case , they were not going to be considered a plus. The Truck has 160,000 miles on it. It runs fine. It has some imperfections. It has some very small chips in the windshield. When he was in the truck he started pointing his finger at all of them. This truck is in no way pristine, but it is not garbage either. I paid $8,000.00 for it in 2019. It had a check engine issue that needs to be resolved. I know what the problem is not. I mentioned that it has been stored at my home until I can get it to pass emissions. I also told him that I removed the battery while it was parked through the winter. I told him about some of the work I had done on it. I was very up front and honest with him. He mentioned that it is very hard to know the condition of the engine unless he can scan the codes. He also pulled out a Paint Gauge. I have never seen one used before now. He measured the top of the Truck and showed me inf. on the gauge. He says this means infinity. I just laughed. He asked if the roof had been repaired. I honestly had no clue. I would think there would have to been a foot of bondo on the roof, but I don't know. Everything out of his mouth was , that he will have to deduct more money off the original appraisal. It started out at $7700.00 . He was willing to give me $4300.00 after his deductions. I would rather give this Truck to the Kidney Foundation or some other charity , rather than sell my truck to this company. I was curious about this company. Now I know. I got quotes from Carmax, Get More Chedder Auto, and We Buy Any Car. We Buy Any Car was the highest $9250. Get More Cheddar Auto was second at $8500. The attorneys told me I needed 3 estimates. Went 40 minutes the opposite direction to We Buy Any Car because highest! Did appraisal, started at $4,000! Got to $7,000. I sold cars Get More Cheddar Auto and Carmax before and never lost a penny over what they quoted??? I laughed at We Buy Any Car over his story of this is what the car is worth in mint condition??? Left and took straight to Get More Cheddar Auto. Took me an hour and 15 minutes from where I was. In 15 minutes of them checking the truck, $8500 that they quoted. Beware ...
