Valencia community college has been a long stay institution for education in Orlando for as long as…read moreI can remember. The school has grown by leaps and bounds not only in size but also in quality of education due to increased funding. The Lake Nona location is somewhat of an architectural revelation of neo classical modern architecture of mixing breaks wood metal glass into a true joy for the eyes to see. The inside of the school is no less stellar than the outside. I'll be at a bar from Large location, it is an excellent school and it serves The community locally well for now. Valencia did take the initiative and forgot to purchase excess of land around the school so there is ample room for parking as well as additional expansion of the school. My only concern is that they did not initially build the school large enough to handle the huge population growth here in the lake Nona area. With that all being said the staff is stellar, I know many of the instructors there personally and there's a great deal of pride taken by the school in this new location.

I am told that the mornings are the best time to visit the Answer Center, and I agree. There was a very short wait and the atmosphere and environment was superbly stress free. This campus is located in the growing Lake Nona area right next to Lake Nona High and is state of the art and very clean. I would give them 5 stars, but there are not many classes offered at this location. Bummer for me because I live in Lake Nona, but at least I was able to transfer in at this location no muss, no fuss.

I had a good experience when I was here for community college in 2013-2014…read more I came here for my general studies for my degree. They had a good program with UCF (direct connect) that allowed me to get my AS in Hospitality Management more affordability than going to UCF for four years. The campus had an easy to access layout and always had a good amount of after school programs and events to attend. I recommend Valencia college for any Central Florida student who wants a good degree without breaking the bank to achieve!

You will get harassed and bullied and nothing is done about it (If you're white) I am disabled and was verbally attacked and almost physically but some of the students stepped in. When the "investigation" went on only three students were asked to give statements and of course all three were her friends lmao. I wasn't even given a chance to tell my side, I wasn't even asked for a statement. Needless to say I was expelled and the other girl is still attending. The last white girl who spoke on it and her parents threatened to sue the teachers were all told to just pass her and get her through. Needless to say she didn't take her nclex because she would have failed. School is trash. I'm glad I changed my mind about being an LPN and take a shortcut. I will be pursuing my RN at a reputable school. This institution loses its accreditation all the time so be aware. I'm attaching the review that the other girl left so you can see this is a recurring problem. She removed it once the parents threatened to sue and the school agreed to pass her. If you smoke pot it's ok we will send you to clinicals anyway. What a joke. Also, the BEST part is one of the teachers pulled her gun (yes you heard me correctly) on a student because she thought it was an intruder - all of this occurred while the school was open. This school is filthy dirty and smells like mildew. This place is a joke. Stay away. You've been warned.

**Shark Stride 5K Review**…read more They have an annual 5k that they hold here at the school to help raise funds for their mission trip. It starts with a competitive run and follows with the fun run / walk. Stroller and dogs welcome. They have plenty of parking at their building and the run / walk takes place around the lake just behind it. It's a smaller sidewalk path, so you can't fit more than two people side by side, and you'll have to line up for people to pass by the other way, but it's a nice view the whole way around. It's also nice knowing that the funds from the run support the students going to a mission trip so it's a solid charity to support. It's easy online sign up and payment as well. Overall: A A good 5k event, although a small pathway, it's for a good cause!

The staff I spoke with were kind and helpful in helping me find my way around the building. My favorite thing about this building was the student/staff lounge downstairs that was part dining area / living room and part gym! I thought it was neat and so convenient.
