This…read moregym is closest to our current rental, so I decided to step in a couple times this week to check it out. This is a newer-looking PF, with high-end treadmills equipped with TV's. The entire place smelled fresh, appeared clean and was one of the most spacious ones I've seen in a long time. Which isn't inherently a bad thing, but the vibes were dead. Absolutely no atmosphere at all. Once again, nice staff, but we are hesitating on joining because this place needs a re-vamp. Also, it's strange that they keep your drivers licenses during the tour. We had to wait for them to be handed back.

The building and equipment itself, while centrally located to Kirkwood, are a bit dated. It could stand to use a facelift but I understand that's what keeps the rates affordable and the people coming back. They also offer many classes (like sports leagues, CPR certification etc). And even discount to the Trout Lodge - a very large camp / lake site for fun activities. I would love to try that out some time. I would also like to try out their pool too!
