I deposited a local check ( literally 3 blocks away) and they put a hold on the check for 7 days. Here's the kicker, I know for a fact the check cleared the very next night, so BOA got to use my money for 6 days. You would think that the check I deposited was for a large amount, think again, the check in question was for $309. When I called to ask why I was given what I imagine was their standard answer, they had to verify the validity of the check, it already cleared how much more valid do you need. So for 8 days I had to wait for what Wells Fargo would of cashed in 24 hours, wow!
