His sister had just been diagnosed with MS and his mother had it and was worried as some of the symtoms he had were signs of MS. He went to several doctor's and Nuerologist's and had MRI's done on his spine and brain, but they all came back clear. Aaron's pain had worsened, and he didn't want to see a typical Chiropractor to crack his back. He researched the internet on the different types of chiropractic care and found Dr. Andrea. After speaking with her over the phone, he had to meet her. My husband had many issues with his back from boxing, car accidents and riding motorcyles. He had what she called "Military Neck" from keeping his chin down for boxing. After seeing Dr. Andrea his pain completely ceased in about 4 months. He went frequently at first, but his adjustments were holding well and he was feeling better so now they are not as frequent. I also began seeing Dr. Andrea while pregnant with my son. I had alot of back pain with that pregnancy and my pelvic was not aligned properly. Her adjustments helped my pain, aches and headaches. All of my children see Dr. Andrea and we LOVE her!! She is VERY knowledgeable in her profession. The thing that really stood out to me were all the testimonials of the patients she's helped with very different health aliments, illnesses and/or pain. She has them lined up in her walls and it's just amazing how Upper Cervial Care can help so many different health issues. Her story on why she began her career in Upper Cervical Care was very touching. As a mother, she works very well with her younger patients. When my son was born, he began seeing her immediately. It helped with his colic and ear infections. Her office is also very kid friendly!! This was very important to my husband and I as we have 6 children and most often we all see her at the same time. She has a diaper changing area with diapers and wipes for those with small babies. She even provides refreshements like tea, water and snacks while you wait. This is very helpful for those with children as sometimes it's not always practical to have snacks on hand. My children ages 2-15 see her every other month and we fully trust Dr. Andrea and her care. When they have had sports injuries and when I've sprained my ankle she has helped adjust those problems areas as well. I can't thank Dr. Andrea enough for the care she has provided my family. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in October 2004 and I have been searching for a way to heal ever since. I am so thankful to Dr. Andrea and Jennifer for being so patient and loving with me. Appointments are on time, easy to be seen within a few days and they care about your healing, about you!! Yes you have to change your eating, take supplements and change lifestyle to heal, but I found it easy with their help! In fact, the podiatrist I saw before seeing him told me it would be a way worse surgery than Dr. Goforth suggested it would be. As soon as Dr. Goforth saw me, he told me exactly what he could do, how he would fix it, and how often he did the procedure I would need. He was super patient with me when I was unsure of scheduling and understanding that I had to bring my toddler into my consult. As long as I live in the Grand Valley, this will be the person I go to, to solve my foot and ankle problems. The receptionist is a total sweetheart and was patient with my toddler, despite her not being on her best behavior due to her being, well, a toddler. She is super prompt returning phone calls and goes the extra mile to make you feel listened to and cared for.

So I just cancelled I have been patiently waiting for my appointment date but once they let me know they were going to have to reschedule because "a dental hygienist was going to be out" it has became obvious they overbook and do not prepare far enough in advance to accommodate their SCHEDULED appointments. I'm sure Dr.Birch could provide great service if you are lucky enough to get an appointment, but im having a hard time figuring out why any dentist is worth waiting over a year for a simple cleaning.

I have been a regular patient at ICON for about 4 years and it is not uncommon to find patients being over-booked or even double-booked for the exact same appointment times. This results in SUPER long wait times-as in waiting over 2 hours before even seeing the doctor. Doctor Holt seamlessly blends deep clinical expertise with high emotional intelligence. He communicates well, listens intently, and treats the whole patient with kindness and respect. And I believe he actually loves his job! However, witnessing the breakneck speed at which he must move between his patients is painful. Burnout in physicians is real. I hate to think that one day Doctor Holt may find himself both physically and emotionally exhausted because the thing he loved, the thing he was SO good at, no longer holds meaning. It is my impression that Dr. Holt is an 'on-staff' employee of ICON Eyecare-a corporation that obviously views their patients as 'time-slots' and 'revenue' AND their physicians as 'workhorses'. If this is the case, it screams profit over people which is both wasteful and stupid. The demand for good eye care is obviously high in Grand Junction, so given the backlog of patients why doesn't ICON Eyecare hire another doctor to assist Dr. Holt with his workload?

When in depth questions were asked, one staff member rolled her eyes when I had concerns over cost discussions. I had concerns about surgery. A person should be able to feel free to have questions answered. When I advised my observations about the Clinic caring more about income than patient care, this did not go over well. When asked if I wanted to complete the surgery, I said I needed to consider. The doctor told me he would not perform it. I made the correct choice not staying with this Clinic. I saw another XV doctor who ensured the surgery would be of benefit by having me wear compression stockings for a month to ensure the surgery would be of benefit. This Clinic said most don't wear as prescribed so we would forgo and move direct to surgery. I wish this Clinic well, but I made the correct choice to seek this type of care elsewhere. I've heard rave reviews about their cosmetic work though.
