I had some very dry skin that was getting discolored. Very annoying and embarrassing. I went to my normal doctor and he said he thought it was mild eczema. He said to take colder showers and use lotion. Duh. I tried that and special lotions for eczema and it would lighten the patches but never got rid of them. Dr Deethes got me in quickly and gave me a prescription for a gel moisturizer that cleared my problem up in about a week and prevents any further damage. I'm not a vain person but when you get red splotches on your face and under your eyes that turn white in the sun it was an amazing relief to have it fixed. It's been almost a year without any breakouts. Thank You Mountain West! read more

Dr. Laggis has provided me (and my family) with excellent dermatological care for the past several years. Having had too many negative experiences with medical professionals in the past, Dr. Laggis is a true breath of fresh air and she puts me at ease immediately. She genuinely listens to me, doesn't rush through our appointment, provides me with effective (and reasonably priced options) for my skincare concerns and is knowledgeable in her field of expertise. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Laggis and am grateful to have her as a trusted dermatologist. read more

I saw Dr Lewis Kirkegaard for an initial visit, and asked him if there was anything he could do for a circumscribed area on my thumb where the epidermis just wouldn't heal. He looked at it, closed his eyes in deep recall, and said, "that's a porokeratosis of Mibelli. Yes, we can try freezing it". He did, and it healed completely and has not returned. The literature shows they can return. My previous dermatologist never even bothered to try. If you want a scholar with a can do attitude, there you go. read more

Because I lived n Delta and was on medicaid they said it was illegal to accept me. I Called my doctor and they informed me that that was a not true, because I can go wherever I want to in our area. So pretty much they were discriminating against me. In my opinion dont use them, I already spent a couple thousand getting my face worked on with no insurance, thru their other skin care office and then when I wanted the dermatologist, that's what I was told. Shame on them! I thought they were good but nope, they're just like everybody else, money first. I Have in-situ melanoma and needed and need to get a skn check. This was done to me by the person that answers the phone. She said it was their policey. their policy sucks and I won't go there now for nothing. I just thought I'd share that little bit of information with everybody. read more

I wanted to write this review because walking in the door my expectations had been lowered based on some of the other reviews I've read. My expectations were far exceeded. The front desk staff was friendly and prompt. The nurse that called me back was kind and welcoming. Not to mention I was called back before my appointment time. Then enter Dr. Laggis - again, I didn't sit in the room and wait a long time. She walked in and was immediately engaging and warm. I didn't feel rushed and she listened to my concerns and was super personable. I would highly recommend their office and Dr. Laggis! read more

I called in to schedule an appointment with Dr. Weber. I asked: "Is Dr. Weber accepting new patients, please?" Answer: "Unfortunately, no." I waited for the person to be polite enough to say something like, "Drs. Xxxxx and Xxxxx are accepting patients, if you would be interested." What did I get? NOTHING. So, given the silence, I said, "Thank you," and we hung up. Wow. I guess business is so good there they do not want or do not care if they get new patients, and training of staff is not a priority. I'll do what the person was suggesting with her attitude ... move on. read more

I would probably give this place one star but the front office staff is worth the extra star. (The office staff is definitely the best thing about this place.) That being said, It is hard to get a human when you call because they are constantly understaffed so plan to wait on the phone for a while. This was the quickest doctor's visit I've ever had. I went twice and worked with one of the female doctors who I was told was the "nicer of the two." While both times , the doctor seemed competent enough, she was hard to connect with. Zero empathy. If there's the opportunity to go elsewhere, I would take it. read more

I waited for months for my appointment. Dr. Amy Paul was hurried and rude. She rudely told me she would cut a facial mole off my face right then. I told her that I came in for a consultation. I asked bout prices and times available and she said I would need to talk to the scheduling nurse. I also asked her about a small wart on my finger. She grabbed my finger, gave it a little squirt with the freezing spray, left, and sent in her nurse to answer my questions and schedule a next appointment. I was told that it would be about $50 per mole. I told the nurse that the spray did not seem to have any effect. She ignored my comment, so I repeated my observation that the area was not even numb. Dr. Amy marched back into the room and said "Well let's forget my 20 years of experience," grabbed my finger again, gave it another squirt, and sarcastically said, "I hope it doesn't burn your finger off." The wart grew back. In addition, when I received my updated health record it stated that she said things to me that she did not say! I canceled my next appointment which was months out. I received the bill two months later after I canceled my appointment for $507 for 15 minutes. read more

My husband had an appointment with them since the VA dermatology office was book out. At our visit today June 25th, we arrived on time and we noticed we needed to go through a door to check in since there was only one receptionist. That would have been fine but my husband uses a walker right now since knee replacement which has only been a week. She noticed that he was struggling but insisted on him coming through the door. Luckily I was there for him. She could have been more accommodating to his needs then hers. There was a way to check him in from the front counter. Dr. McCoy was very professional and his nurse was nice but I felt that they could have also allow him to use an examining room closer than half around the building which he was getting very wore out from the walk. Overall the place was nice and clean and mostly everyone was friendly. read more

Going to the dermatologist can be a chore. Mountain West is well run, and has an efficient front desk. Rare, right? Every time I go, waiting time is at a minimum. Dr. Paul is friendly, and is thorough. When she has to do a biopsy, results come back super quickly, and they do so with a phone call, not an impersonal message. I'm very happy to be a patient here. read more

Dr. Deeths has been blasting my keratoses and scanning me for other hazards for more than 10 years now, and my husband before then. He even carefully parsed through a pathology report from a carcinoma I had removed while traveling, entirely in Spanish, when he probably had other things to do. Besides being a great doc, he's always genuinely concerned about how I'm doing. Kindness matters. Wouldn't it be great if there were more providers around like this one?! read more

I read great reviews about this place and I looked forward to going to see them. My dentist found a concerning spot and told me to get in to see a dermatologist. That gave me quite the anxiety. I called for an appointment, but I needed a referral sent over. I had that sent over. I called back and they said it usually took a day. The receptionist also seemed annoyed. Imagine being anxious over something potentially cancerous and not hearing back for four days if a Dr. can get you in or not. I guess I'll be going somewhere else. read more

Never got a chance to see the doctor so don't have a clue if Dr. Rangwala was good or not. When we went to check in, we had TWO appointments, one of which was canceled or lost or never put in. We drove an hour and a half to get to Mountain West Dermatologists. The front staff was immediately defensive. The doctor was willing to fit both of us in however, the office manager came out and instead of being helpful decided it was his goal to prove that the error was ours and not theirs and he insinuated that we were liars. My wife had called the day before to confirm BOTH appointments and that they had received our records from our previous dermatologist on the front range. WE WILL NEVER, EVER, EVER go back to this practice. read more

So....I had an appointment with them. I made the appointment in December and waited 3 months to get in. I did receive a reminder call on Friday, (My appointment was on Monday) but a time was never mentioned. I had it in my phone for 2:30, and then written on my calendar for 9 a.m.. I called them at 1 to find out it was at 9, I was so mad at myself. I proceeded to request a new appointment and was told that if you miss your 1st appointment, you are not allowed to make any appointments within their office EVER! really??? I called them and explained I mixed up the times, but they didn't care, "it's their policy". I guess it doesn't count I was there multiple times when my kids were little. No way to do business if you ask me. I would of been happy to pay a reasonable fee for their inconvenience, but to be unable to make an appointment EVER is ridiculous! read more

Everyone here is incredibly kind and customer service oriented. My son and I both have had appointments here.

I am a retired physician who did a lot of work in dermatology. My years of sun exposure caught up with me and I was in need of finding a Mohs surgeon to take care of a basal cell. My local dermatologist referred me here and I am impressed with how good these folks are. Dr Weber did the Mohs surgery and was great. If you need this kind of work, I think these guys do a great job. read more
