They won't try to up-sell you on work that you don't need done, and if they are troubleshooting a problem, then will start small and inexpensively to try to solve the problem before they try more expensive repairs. We had them repair the faulty turn signal switch in our minivan, and when they finished it up and we got it back, the airbag dash light was on all the time. So I called them back, they apologized and checked it out, found they installed a faulty part, and they replaced it and did the labor for free. That's quality and honesty right there! I really wanted to like this place - people seemed friendly and willing to help. But my experience…read morewas a sh*tshow... I came in with my van's 'check engine' light on and a short list of issues I wanted taken care of. VERY SPECIFIC issues that I wanted them to look at and give me an estimate for the work. A few hours later, I was charged $200 for "an inspection" (which I didn't need because the reason I came there is literally because I had already gotten an inspection done, hence why I had the list of issues I wanted to be fixed). I assumed the cost was for the engine diagnosis, and I was told I would be contacted with price estimates for everything they had found. After multiple calls to follow up, I was told the engine was never diagnosed - that they don't even have the machine there?? Doesn't make sense to me , and then why would they have even taken in my van to begin with?? Over a week later and they still haven't even told me what they "found" from the inspection - I guess they don't want my business. Please save yourself time and hassle - go up to Diesel & Import in Blaine to get a professional experience where they don't steal your money.

I had him take the car back to Lake Elmo Repair and they told him he would need to bring it back with an appointment. I don't think it is fair to expect us to have to come back according to their schedule when the problem was the poor workmanship of Lake Elmo Repair.
