Recently purchased a 2011 Toyota Camry from Webb Hyundai in Highland. Joe Williams was great to work with throughout the buying process. However, as soon as I drove off the lot, I started having electrical issues with the car. At first I thought it was the alternator, but after having it diagnosed, it turned out to be a burned wiring harness. I wish I had been allowed to have my own mechanic inspect the car before purchasing it. I was only allowed to test drive it, and once I left the dealership, the problems started. My advice is to always have any used car inspected by your own mechanic before buying, even if it seems to drive fine on the test drive. read more

I went in about a month ago to have a damaged tire changed. The woman that helped me was pleasant and professional, the service was fairly quick and easy. Two things soured the experience, though. First, l they charge a 3% fee for credit card transactions, which is irritating. Second, I had two large straw sub hats in the back. I keep them there for whenever I wanna go for a hike, long walk, to the beach or the park, etc. I know for a fact that they were in the trunk. A couple of weeks ago I needed them and couldn't find them in the trunk, my house, garage, basement, etc. I finally remembered that I went in to have a tire changed and asked them to throw the old tire in my truck. I'm guessing the took them out to toss in the tire and forgot to put them back. I called to inquire and got a voicemail saying they don't have them and the have surveillance footage showing their mechanic simply placing the tire in and nothing more. The hats have sentimental value, cause Kyle grandpa and I used them for trips and hikes together. Anyway, there is no where else those hats could be and I just think you should be careful with any of your personal stuff that you leave in your car, when getting it serviced at Webb Hyundai. My car with 16,000mi on it broke down and they replaced 3 fuel injectors , had it for 5 days and engine light went on and I drove it right to dealership and I got a loaner this time. It needed a catalytic converter. Went to take the loaner back and they wanted gas $$. I don't see them crediting me for a month that my car was broken for! Never buy a vehicle off their lot that is certified pre owned - their mechanics obviously cannot do their job. Purchased a certified vehicle that didn't even make it home. Was left in their shop for weeks as they failed time and time again to repair the issue. I guess I should be thankful I purchased the certified vehicle - can't even imagine how expensive it would've been for me to pay out of pocket. Customer service is terrible, too. Called weekly for updates and they'd ignore my calls. Wasn't hard to get in contact though, just call from another phone or take off your caller ID - they fell for it every time. Used a bait and switch tactic to lure us an hour away only to have the sales manager Laurie refuse to honor the price that was agreed upon when my wife called in the morning. To top it off, Laurie knew we were new parents that desperately need to get a bigger car and she knew my car was dangerous to drive because they test drove it for trade-in. We spent 4-5 hours just to be able to get to the dealership because we have a newborn, another 2 hours at the dealership and when it came time one for paperwork, Laurie jumped in and refused to honor the price. She claimed it wasn't approved when my wife had called and verified before we drove an hour away and made sure they had all the info they needed for that price when we got there. Laurie tried to hard sell me a few days before that when I had said from the beginning I had to come back with my wife because the car is for her. She was rude to me that day, and then right from the moment she sat down once my wife was there, she immediately was rude to her too and hostile towards me because I didn't buy the car Saturday. Once she started lying about some of the fees in what they contained (government fees include dealer fees, I know that...but my wife asked what the fee consisted of and Laurie wouldn't admit to the fact there's added on fees). Laurie claimed it was for the title, plate and registration in Illinois when we have a standard fee no matter what the car for title and plates, it's $316. Laurie was claiming it's &488 and even when I proved her wrong, she again just talked down to me and said she lives in Illinois too so she knows. Had she just said that it's paperwork fee or something, I would have still bought the car. But the fact that she wouldn't admit it and lied to my face about it even when I proved her wrong, made me not want to do business with a dealer that would put such a rude and slimy salesman in charge. There's so much more but the way this place handles business is disturbing. Laurie preyed on our struggle as new parents to try and force us to pay $1,000 more. We ultimately walked. Had Laurie just been transparent and most of all, not be so insanely rude to us the entire time...I still would have bought the car. But I have never had someone be that nasty to me and especially my wife for absolutely no reason other than trying to pressure sell us. So disclaimer, this dealership has many hidden fees they'll wait to tell you about until after you've spent hours with the them, they are: ALL cars have Brake Plus installed on them and it cost $1000, if you push them, it goes to &499 and they won't budge on it that. The brake plus part cost &56 and takes less than 5 minutes to install. It's simply a profit generator for them Document fees are charged and then more are charged hidden into your government fees If you aren't financing with them, their demeanor changes and they don't want you to buy the car there read more

i have a 2018 hyundai sante sport non- turbo engine. i had to pirated into paying for another very pre- mature oil change due the fact that my engine with less than 50 thousand miles is consuming oil at an alarming rate. rather put a quart sample all that the testing lab needs. i was an operating engineer, field mechanic and welder for well over 50 years. so that's all that's needed . but the dealer money hungry as ever told me to bring it in..never once mentioned the fact that i had to pay for another oil change due there defective engine all this is less than 60 days . i have spent over $200 on oil changes plus another $54 out of pocket to replace the 3 quarts of oil the engines burning. that's $254 and counting...but this is the kicker the service manager says taht hyundai knows about the engine problem!! my question is when were going to let potential victims of a poorly manufacture engine know about this potentially $5000 engine replacement. if they dont add a quart every thousand miles !! buyer beware with this super shady webb hyundai dealer in highland indiana on indiapolis boulevard ! never again. shady i mean super shady buisness practices !! if u value your money especially in these chaotic economitimes dont set foot in this dealer by the way this bandits tryed to sell me a wheel alignment with my dry rottnng tires real master mechanics not just glorified parts changers and oil monkees not one real mechanic in the bunch. just salesmen trying to push you into unnecessary neededly even dumb repairs i mean a,wheel alignment on dry rotting tire.?? read more

I was just starting my test driving of some vehicles to see what I wanted to purchase. I drove an SUV and a car. Jaylan was super helpful in showing me all the features and was not pushy at all. I had not decided at that time what I wanted. It was refreshing to have someone that while he did work to see if he could get me to buy a car that day, that he respected me as well. Wish I could give 0 stars. Made an appointment almost two weeks ago to have my car looked at because it kept breaking down and the oil light was flashing. Didn't hear anything for over 10 days. I called today and they said my tires were bad and they refused to test drive it until I replaced my tires but also they aren't receiving any engine codes from my car. My car that I previously took to a local mechanic to have it diagnosed and they did it in less than an hour. When I asked why it took so long for anyone to even contact me Cindy claimed that they just now looked at it yesterday. So you're telling me I scheduled an appointment almost two weeks ago and you're just now looking at my car long enough to determine the tires are bad and you won't test drive it? It's unfortunate to say that I've decided to take my business elsewhere which is a shame because I've always gotten my car serviced here at Webb Hyundai in Highland. Twice now I have encountered the same rude and disrespectful employee in the service department named Lisa. Extremely rude and dismissive. Refuses to answer any questions that I have as if I'm a nuisance to her existence. I already reported her to Katie the service manager and Laurie the Sales Manager. The first encounter was when I was dropping my car off to get serviced. The second time was tonight- 3/1/23. My car has been sitting in their lot for going around 4 weeks now while I wait on my insurance adjuster to come out and inspect the car. Since I couldn't reach the adjuster, I decided to call the service department to get an update seeing if the adjuster has contacted them. Lisa answered the phone and flat out refused to answer any of my questions and said that since she's not "assigned" to my car, she can't help me. All I was asking her was if she knows if the insurance adjuster came out to look at the car because I couldn't get ahold of him. She refused to even pull up the notes on my car on her computer to just check for me. It's very simple to just look on the computer and give me an answer, but no she refused to do this and kept repeatedly telling me- "I'm not assigned to your car, I can't answer any questions." Horrible customer service. I've honestly had enough of her. I ended up driving out there 30 minutes away from my home to pay my diagnostic fee and pick up my car to take it somewhere else. When I got there and said I just want to pay my bill and take my car home, she refused to give me MY car. Once again she said- "I can't help you, you'll have to wait until your service advisor comes in tomorrow morning." I told her again that I want my car, I'll pay the fee and take it elsewhere. She then said she had no idea where the keys and paperwork were and that she could not help me and once again---I would have to wait until tomorrow until my "assigned" service advisor comes in. This woman REFUSED to go find the keys and paperwork to my car. After a few choice words from me to Lisa, Laurie the Sales Manager heard what was going on and came from her desk to help me. I've absolutely had it with this location specifically because of this ONE employee. Its a shame because my car probably will be written off by the insurance company and I'll need a new car. I love Hyundai and would of bought a brand new car from them, thus staying a loyal customer and keeping my business with them, but no. Katie if you're reading this, you really need to do something about this employee. Having her on board in that department just shows where your leadership and professionalism lies. Two young porters even pulled me aside and told me that I'm not the only person who has complained about Lisa. Get something done instead of having multiple chats with her. They tell you when to be there. They text you to confirm. When you show up the say you have no appointment and the car sits 2.5 days before someone looks at it. Cindi the customer service rep...WHAT AN ATTITUDE. She is doing me a favor to work on my car. Cal told me on a Tuesday what was wrong i approved it. I had to call on Saturday to find out what going on and then Cindi was off, the service manager was off the tech was off. I had to wait till Monday for the service manager to call which she NEVER did. My car was there for 12 days for a 2 day repair. I was greeted promptly which is really important to me. Everyone was super friendly and answered my questions. It took time for me to select a vehicle I had just been in a terrible car accident and was trying to find a car that was decently priced but also had safety features that I needed. I came to the dealership many times to drive the cars I was looking at and ask more questions. Each time was a good experience. I worked with Gregg on finding the right fit for my lifestyle and budget. I did a lot of research on the Internet and decided that the 2018 Hyundai Elantra was the winner. Eventually we worked on some numbers and got to close to what I was looking for. I was very excited about getting a new car. The process was easy but in the end I did have some confusion. When you buy a vehicle at this location when I give you a deal make sure when they're filling out the paperwork that you ask any questions that you may have. I went home and got confused because it didn't look like they gave me the deal that we had talked about. In the long run it was because it is broken down very strangely. Make sure you are just aware of that and get ready to ask any questions you may have. They are very nice and I had to ask them a second time because I was still confused and they broke it down into simpler explanations. When it comes time for my husband to get a different vehicle we will start looking at this dealership first! Yes I would recommend Jeffery Emerson but keep reading. I visited Webb Hyundai in Indiana on February 1, 2020. I was inquiring regarding a vehicle that I had found listed on the Capital One navigator page. I was pre-qualified for financing by Capital One. I entered the dealership with a printed page listing the information from the Capital One page which included a price for the vehicle, and approximate monthly payment, length of payments, and an APR. I was directed to a Jeffery Emerson. Mr. Emerson was the salesman who handled my inquiry. I took a test drive and subsequently decided to purchase the vehicle. I showed Mr. Emerson the Capital One listing and we proceeded to begin to complete the sale based on the listed information. Everything seem to be going along smoothly. As in any car buying experience, Mr. Emerson had to have the car deal approved by the finance manager. It became a waiting game because he (the finance manager) was very busy with other customers. I sat in an adjacent booth as he put the hard sell on a customer. An hour later in that same cubicle, I could here him attempting to hard sell a customer who after saying no so many times, she became irate an sought out the dealership manager. Subsequently, another person finished the paperwork. In the meantime, I began to get notifications via text message alerting me that financial inquiries were being made at the credit bureaus. Mr. Emerson subsequently told me that the finance manager was attempting to find a lower APR for me. He returned from the finance manager with a new quote. The quote was at least a percentage point higher, for a longer period of time, substantially more a month, and with a different financial company. I was ready to cancel the deal at that time. Mr. Emerson returned to the finance office and returned with a revised quote from Capital One similar to the original quote. The deal was on again. Now it was time for me to meet with the finance manager. After waiting a bit, he came to the cubicle and started the hard sell for a warranty policy (I was purchasing a used vehicle). It went from 30-40 dollars extra a month to 5 dollars a month. There was no miscommunication because I asked, "do you mean 60 dollars per year?" He replied yes. Based on that price I bit. The paperwork was done and although it seemed that he had padded extra dollars in the contract, but it was in the ballpark. I went ahead with the deal. This transaction had me in the dealership for almost 6 hours. Mr. Emerson and I were able to get things done rather quickly however waiting for the finance guy seemed to be the hang up. That said, I do realize that I did not have an appointment and there were other people making purchases. I would recommend a relative to Mr. Emerson when buying a vehicle. But, if they decided to buy from Webb, I would caution them to have all of their financing lined up upfront. Further, I would suggest that they buy add ons somewhere else rather than deal with the finance manager. read more

Terrible! Worst car buying experience I've ever had. My son bought his first car here. Within 24 hours it became undriveable. We've taken it back 5 times for service. The last time they had it for 6 weeks and in less than 24 hours after picking it up we have another check engine light.
