I want to say he's very thorough and went down to the Stamford courthouse to do the research and also upfront verified that we are the real owners of the property. My attorney had to copy every member of the board on every email to him and even then took him days to respond. I had to physically drive to the office in Norwalk to get a response. I was also treated with terrible misogyny on multiple occasions and, after discussion, I discovered that the women in my community were treated badly by him and the men never were. That is unacceptable. In addition, the man assigned to my community had no idea what a home improvement contractor's license was or that it is required by law for anyone performing work on the building. So, he didn't check for that before having work done. The level of incompetence was truly astonishing. My attorney is going to report this company to the department of consumer protection.

I contacted Jim's office and spoke with his wonderful wife, Becky. She immediately got us a fair quote and an estimated timetable. Jim diligently did his research and was able to stakeout boundary lines and corners around our property. By the end of the survey, we ended up with significantly more property than originally thought; some of which was being encroached upon. A map was provided to us, and upon request, Jim speedily made a map for us on Mylar paper as well. Thanks to Jim we can now build a fence around our property, giving us privacy and a place for kids to play safely.

I'd highly recommend staying away from both properties if you ever intend to interact with management or leasing. In my experience, the management never responded to emails, answered the phone, or replied to voicemails. Finally, to get my questions answered I had to physically show up in the management office and corner the manager. They may be nice places to live, but save yourself the headache and frustration of dealing with this management company if you can and find somewhere else.

About a year ago, I lost my job and found a new one in another state. I moved to the new state, and Jay helped me to put my home on the market. He held multiple open houses, helped me to find a buyer in this very difficult housing market, and went above and beyond to help me with the sale of this home. Because I had to move to a different state, my home was vacant while it sat on the market. Jay and his associate took turns going to check on my property regularly to make sure everything was ok. In addition, my sale took place around the holidays, and Jay was always available - even answering emails and phone calls during his personal vacations. The sale process took some time, and at some point, I began to worry because I had been paying both mortgage at the home, and rent in my new apartment. I was running out of money to pay both. I remember when I expressed this concern to Jay, he told me, "don't worry, I will get your house sold" - and he did. We finally closed on the home on January 4th of this year. Everything went through smoothly - largely attributable to Jay's hard work, patience, expertise, and professionalism. While many other realtors could have worked to sell my home, what made Jay different was that I could tell that he really cared - he wasn't just doing his job. He never made me feel like I was bothering him when I had a lot of questions or needed something done that was out of his job description.
