After all that, both USB ports ended up dead and he claimed the IC chip had failed -- something that wasn't an issue before. He refunded the $50 for the port, but I still paid for the cleaning and lost a ton of time. Taking it somewhere competent. Don't take your PS5 there! It'll come back worse.

Lucky for me, Google brought Steve's company up and because he had such a good rating, I gave him a call. Steve thought the new motherboard would take a week to order/arrive but it was here in 4 days & he came over the day he got it and got my PC back up and running! His labor was $180 (2 hours/2 trips to my house) & the motherboard was $100. That was a small price to pay for him to be able to save all the work, photos, music, movies I had on my hard drive! If you ever think your computer has burned out & died, call Steve before buying a new one and starting everything (re-installing everything & re-doing tons of work) over.

I planned on coming in Saturday, but the part didn't come until Tuesday. They assured me I could come in on Friday at noon and it would be fixed in 1-2 hours. I got a call at 5:15 pm telling me it was all finished, too late for me Friday. So, I came in today, Saturday (my 6th trip to the shop) feeling assured that I had finally reached the finish line. Only to find that, in spite of the Friday evening call telling me it was all ready, that they had not fixed it at all! Very inconsiderate lack of communication. The only redeeming part of the experience is that they gave me a full refund. But, here I am at square one again with a broken computer, after 3 weeks and 6 separate trips to the shop.

Stopped in to ask a question about a printer cartridge jam we could not unjam ourselves. Scott…read more(owner, I believe?) was so helpful in explaining to us how HP purposefully creates these jams when generic, non-HP cartridges are used. This can basically render printers permanently useless. An HP trick to get customers to buy their more expensive ink cartridges. He suggested that we return all cartridges for a full refund immediately. We had to purchase a new printer. Scott was extremely helpful, patient and kind. Never tried to sell us anything. We will definitely be doing business with him in the future should we need computer/printer issues. His advice is trustworthy and no hard-sell!!!
