Let me start by saying the shop is beautifully decorated, the building easily visible and parking was a breeze. I called after looking online for a sew in and this shop popped up. I called and the owner Tamika abruptly answered and scheduled a same day appointment. She is very nice and personable. However, issues arose starting with the braid down. The braider Bri (I think) was heavy handed and Tamika instructed her to do a certain braid down pattern (double bee-hive) and I wanted another ( single circular) Which Tamika was ok with. This however prompted mean girl energy from Bri and I felt it. Moving on to Tamika actually doing my hair. She got upset because I did not want my tracks cut each row. I don't like cutting my bundles. She was also double tracking. She started making comments and trying to be funny. Like saying she was going to charge extra and I was banned from the shop, etc. It wasn't funny and I was about to leave but had an event to go to later. Long story short, the style was decent looking leaving the shop. But later that night as the wind blew, tracks were visibly exposed and it was bulky in the top and sewed extremely tight on the sides to the point where I cut the tread to keep it from pulling out my hair at the root/ follicle causing permanent damage. I'll have to go later in a few days to have someone else reattach the tracks to the braids once my scalp is not so tender. There are braids and tracks showing everywhere. This is one of the absolute worst sew ins I've ever gotten in Atlanta! I feel hustled. It reminds me of the $50 weave shop where they put amateurs and students in your head. Overall, one and done experience here for me!!! For $275.00, this shouldn't be the experience. I was wondering how the owner with 20 plus years experience had an immediate opening, now I know it's because she can't do no hair. She played in my head and my pockets! I had a great experience at the weave loft. The actual shop is very chic modern. Great decor and seating is comfortable. As soon as I got there, my hair was washed and dried right away. The hair braided is amazing! The best braider I have experienced. The owner is very knowledgeable about extensions and did a wonderful job installing, cutting, and styling my hair. I'm giving four and not 5 stars due to the attitude that my stylist had. I won't say any names because I don't want to block her from making money. She did an excellent job styling my hair, but she was very very VERY rude and nasty. The only reason I stayed was because it's a black business and she was very talented and did a great job. Please have better personality and attitude towards your guests. I'm more than happy with my sew-in with leave out done by the super sweet Tamika! She was super knowledgeable and helpful as I was getting my hair done after a four month chemo battle. She gave great advice and tips for getting my thinning hair healthy again, and as I left we scheduled maintenance which is all done at the shop. Her assistant Monique was so friendly and braided my hair tightly without pulling or hurting my scalp. The bundles added to my hair are gorgeous and match my hair perfectly. The owner Tamika is ghetto and has a very nasty mouth. I really needed my hair done at the last minute and I found her online. when she saw how long my hair was and had to braid it she got really snippy and started yanking my hair. She got even madder aftwe she asked me did I want it curled. My part was crooked and you can see the tracks if you did not comb it the right way. over the phone she quoted me 200$ but has the nerve to charge 250$. read more

Let me just start by saying be prepared to pay at least $8 to park and walk to the building. Secondly, the skill of theses ladies were great, everyone one was on point with their weaving skills. Whether you rock a Bob, Curly Weave or Long Straight Weave, everyone left looking amazing. With that being said, I would have given them a 4 Star and not a five because no one alerted me about the parking. But here's how they ended up with a 2 star from me. What started off as a traditional, peaceful, beauty set up, made a turn for the worse when the manager arrived. She was late first of all but that was ok because another really nice chick braided my daughter hair while we waited. But when the manager arrived we found out there was another appt. in front of ours. I guess she was really close to this lady because she spent the next two hours eating buffalo wings while insulting this lady old hair weave. Her language was horrible and she seemed to have gotten everyone one else in an uproar. Then they were all cursing, talking about sex and there personal lives. She continued to talk nasty about her clients hair and the poor lady just sat there and took it. Kids begun to walk in the shop but she never changed her tone, she even begin to talk about the kids. By this time I'm pissed and have a migraine but my daughter gives me that mama please face and so I endure more of this Ratchet Bull. If you think it couldn't get any worse, the heavy set older lady seating in the Back of the shop, I guess the managers Aunt really set the tone. She was a horrible BIG MOUTH, her voice stuck in head, just loud, loud and unprofessional. Would I recommend this shop? NO, maybe to an enemy, lol. Professionalism ? Not HERE. The sad thing is the customers weren't participating in the conversations, you would have thought that would have been a sign for them to shut up. Put it like this, men in Barbara shops act better than the women at the Weave Loft. To sum it up, this place was a hand full of wasted talents. Christian woman would have been shamed to remain in their seats. Professional woman don't have time for the nasty drama. Real Woman would go off and Ratchet Woman would think it's Heaven. I choose this salon because they advertised that thy were featured in Marie Claire Magazine so naturally I thought I was in for an upscale experience!! Absolutely NOT!! The salon was cute and clean but the owner was very unprofessional and had a bad attitude. I arrived at my appointed time of 6:30 on the week of Thanksgiving and I was excited to even get a spot on what is usually one of the busiest times of any salon. After being greeted I sat for about 45 minutes before I finally got up to ask when someone would start my hair. The owner had a client in her chair and said that there were 2 people ahead of me but Assured me i would be done in the 3 hour interval I was quoted on the phone. I asked her how that could be when I had already been the for 45 minutes and there were 2 people ahead of me? She said it would happen. I had already paid a 50.00 deposit and asked her if i could have a refund because there was no way she could deliver in that time frame. She said there were no refunds and I wasn't about to just fork over 50.00 so i had to wait. Needless to say, it was 2 hours before I was even started. On top of that when I walked back to my seat, the other stylist started to sing the hook " you don't even know it" over and over and walked over to make eye contact with the owner. I was immediately on clap back mode because Im thinking to myself, " NO! YOU don't even know it!" because truth be told I was only about 1 Klonopin away from flipping out and kept thinking to myself she has no idea how lucky she is i brought my pills with me. After all the drama, the shampoo girl/ apprentice is the one who ended up doing my sew-in because the owner had stepped out by time she was finished shampooing my hair!! My sew was mediocre at best. The Owner returned when my sew in was complete. I started to call my credit card company and dispute the charge but the shampoo girl was really nice and she did put a couple of hours into the sew in which i kept in for about 30 days. I visited this shop on this past Tuesday and my stylist was Tamika. I came in for a layered cut for my long extensions and she did an excellent job. I was able to show Tamika a picture of the style/cut I desired and she exceeded my expectations!!! I am a highly satisfied customer and I will definitely see her again and would recommend Tamika to all my friends. She was also very nice and definitely cared about my satisfaction. I made a sew-in appointment with the owner the day before my arrival into Atlanta. The owner was very patient and waited for me 3 hrs after my original appointment because my flight was delayed. Although the shopped was "closed", she didn't rush and took her time on giving me the style I wanted including a detailed layered cut for a bob. The owner is very experienced and i highly recommend making an appointment to the Weave Loft if you want quality work done in a reasonable amount of time at a decent price. My final style was a full closure bob with a swaying bang. Its the best closure I've ever had in all my years of wearing weaves! Overall, my experience was worthwhile and even though I live out of state I will return only for her to do my weaves. I felt the owner was not professional there nor is the Facebook page informative about her weaves she only post pics of her and not of actual clients. She made need to do a seperate page. The owner of the salon did my hair and she talked about me like a dog. She stated "leave what edges out" "y'all kill me all y'all want me to do is magic and you don't have any edges" " I will be so glad when I pass my real estate test so I can get out this business" " its only getting worse" never did she apologize. Then she didn't do my hair the way I asked she pretend she didn't know what I was talking about. I felt bad and low. She made me feel like a peasant coming to a queen asking for service. Prior to the appointment she was doing a Caucasian lady hair so happy taking pics and talking about the girl and her doctor boyfriend and how she younger then him and he so much older with money. If you go to Instagram you will see the white lady and me and my husband who she shamed me in front of in the back. Her work environment is more like a club with a the loud unprofessional cussing and rap music playing. I drove 4 hours from the military base to this salon to be treated like a damn dog by this ungrateful black community leech. I will gladly take my buainess to 3girlsandaneedle who are profession. Recently got my hair done here by the owner. She did a great job and was very personable. The best part was that I came in at 12:45 and was out of there by 5:30 and I have a lot of hair to braid. I also have a sensitive scalp and they were able to slow down for me to reduce the discomfort while having my hair braided. The difficult part about the shop is the parking, get there early so that you will have time to find a spot. read more
