BACKGROUND: I am originally from NY and comfortable usually wearing my hair out. However, I realized on a Saturday that I should get my hair done the following Sunday due to some networking events I wanted to go to. (Presentation being everything and all). At this moment I am all over yelp and all over google to find a place and searching images to see who I'd take this leap of faith with since again, I'm from NY all I got is these images. However in pops into my memory cutting it in the ATL and walk in weaves. I was not turned off by the reviews since quite frankly I'm from NY personality sometimes is misunderstood. FAST FORWARD to interactions: I called first to make sure I properly prepared since the website was a bit confusing to tell the differences of services and what I needed. Thankfully I did as I was guided to the fact there was one stylist on Sunday. (I washed my hair at home so that I save this time in the salon). Font Desk: She helped explain and break down what I would need on my request more than once. (How she wasn't done with me by the 3rd time...? That's how sweet she was!) I ended up buy the pretty hair there and a lace closure (first time). Braiding: I usually get my hair braided so let me tell you that she killed my braids. I have short hair in the back but she just went on like it was nothing and rather quickly too! I hate that I forgot her name she was so cool! Weave (Kim): Was so straight with me on what to do with my hair what I needed. What it was and was not. All together I felt so welcomed and so grateful I was completely confused by anyone saying anything negative, these women are great! Then...I saw myself. I didn't even recognize myself! I don't know where to start... leaving my edges out was the worst mistake, the hair didn't blend! I tried calling to get it fixed the woman was rude! Definitely a learning experience! I paid for 3 bundles she cut the 3rd bundle when it was needed to make it a full look! I took it down after 5 days and now out $100.00 just to repay someone else to get it redone. I would ask for a refund but they won't answer the phone. read more

This place gets three stars because it is DEFINITELY a NO FRILLS place. It is the bare bones of getting a weave. There are stylist chairs, a sink for washing hair, a couple of chairs for people who are waiting to be serviced and a desk for them to ring you up. The staff could use some customer service training - they were cordial but not welcoming or warm. Except Elantra - who did my hair. She was great when I called the day before and friendly while she was putting in my weave. I paid $118 for two bundles of 14" hair that I purchased from them. I hate the smell of the hair so as soon as I got home, I washed it and dried it and styled it again. It smells horrible when I sweat (it was over 95 degrees and high humidity today). I've even put perfume on it to try to get it to smell better. I do like the look of my weave though. Elantra did a good job with my traditional closure. I may visit them again for another weave since it only cost $120 to get the weave sewn in. I will have to see if I can make this hair smell better and also see how well it holds up. read more

I went here to get my weave dyed and sewn in. The prices on the website are complete lies. They are not close to the actual prices. The website says it charges $30 (per bundle, I'm guessing) for double process color. I called and was told it would be $40 per bundle for color, with the closure being $25. When I went today in person, they told me it was $50 per bundle and the closure would also be $50. On top of this, they told me I had to go buy the color myself because they didn't have it. The actual sew in jumped from $120 on the website to $150 in person. I would avoid this place. read more

The braid down and sew-in isawful. It was pretty for one day. The braid down is very very loose and the sew in after that one day it is hard to style, I never had to put a flat iron to my hair everyday. It's only been a week but it look like a 3 month old sew-in, just awful. Kim is wonderful who's no longer there, I should have went with my gut. read more

I have gone to this location last year and was disappointed by the customer service and the bad weave i received. also tried other stylist who were just as bad.I decided to return a few months ago and found new staff which was friendly and provided excellent customer service. My weave was done by Donna who was very professional and did an excellent job. I have been going to Donna for the past few months and she is my one and only stylist. If you plan to visit this location make sure you ask for Donna she is the best! read more

I just left the salon! I love my hair and enjoyed my time in the salon. I traveled from WI with friends and made sure to visit this salon after viewing the reality show based on its $50 sew-in. My stylist was great. The atmosphere was horrible. The manager spent half the time taking up the wash bowls to die her hair weave for the Beyonce concert. I had to sit and wait for a shampoo bowl because the manager had to get her hair ready. Her girlfriend came in and was very loud and used profanity around the clients. She threw the "N" word around so much, I thought I was at a Lil Wayne Concert. The manager left and returned later with her girlfriend and her outfit. She laid these items across the booths to get her co-workers opinions on her outfit. She then proceeded to use profanity to express her anger at her girlfriend. This rant was extremely loud and so very unprofessional. She then proceeded to complain about her outfit as her girlfriend continued to curse and beg her to get dressed so they could go to the concert. She finally went to the back and changed. At this time her girlfriend went to the liquor store to buy her something to drink. This drink, according to her partner, would calm her down. So she return with alcoholic beverages and proceeded to drink it in front of clients. This was the worst experience I've ever had in a salon. To think as a manager, that it is OK to use profanity and drink liquor in a salon is ridiculous! Moreover, to assume that no one would be offended is even WORSE. I was told that this establishment was African American Owned. What a embarrassment for this hardworking sister to have that kind behavior in an establishment with her reputation and money supporting it. We've got to do better. read more
