Ryan came and spent ~an hour making measurements, and then puzzled over design options for several days. He called me multiple times with ideas, questions, and design proposals. Our place was probably ideal for wall mounted mini splits given no attic space and a partially finished basement, but our personal preference was no wall mounted devices. In the end we settled on a 4-zone, ducted heat pump system which put the air handlers out of sight in several less useable closets, the garage, and unfinished basement. The final installation minimized ducting in or across living spaces to an absolute minimum, and at the same time did not compromise the engineering or functioning of the units. On that note, Ryan is meticulous and by the book for design--he will tell you if something won't work, while trying to meet your needs. The actual installation went off very well. Tom led installation, he and his team were respectful of our space, cleaned up well, and ensured the system worked. During the install, Tom also kindly helped with a ducting issue for our dryer after the dryer installation folk botched an install. Overall just outstanding experience, communication, and final product. These guys are a smaller and newer outfit, but they are the real deal - recommend 100%.

I'm sensitive to getting burned as I know this happens to be an industry where many (e.g., Heritage, in the local area) will exploit, upsell, and generally rip off vulnerable customers. Mike was super-reliable in returning my call. Makes a big difference knowing I don't have to wait until the next business day to get a call back. Although my problem didn't require an after-hours response, the fact he was willing to contact me as soon as he received the message proved his responsiveness. All that being said, I was convinced my problem was much worse than it really was. Mike saved me a lot of money and fixed the problem at the absolute lowest price. And my house is now a cool 68 degrees. The epitome of a local small business that deserves our support. Great job Mike.

My situation was different than most, where I am a do-it-yourself person. I installed a ductless system and tried to get various HVAC companies to give me a quote to test the system, provide a vacuum, and start it up. Most companies refused to do this or came in with very large quotes. Northern Climate was very reasonable and said they would be glad to get my system started. They checked every line connection to make sure I had no leaks and then closed up everything afterwards. This worked out so well, that I decided to put in a second system for the rest of the house. Northern Climate assisted me in the purchase of the second system so that I would be able to receive the Mitsubishi diamond warranty. I also installed this system, and then had Northern Climate check and start it up. Great guys to work with. They graciously answered all the questions I had for them. I highly recommend them. Ferguson Plumbing and Heating has become my go-to whenever something goes sideways at home. From…read morethe first conversation to the moment the work was wrapped up, everything felt smooth, professional, and genuinely reliable. What impressed me most was the way they handled the whole process. They didn't just show up and start working -- they took the time to listen to what was going on, asked smart questions, and explained the real options. That level of clarity made it easy to decide what needed to be done without feeling overwhelmed or upsold. The technician arrived right on time and came prepared, which already set a positive tone. The repair itself was done efficiently, but not rushed. You could tell they weren't just patching the problem -- they were addressing it in a way that feels built to last. Every step was explained clearly, so I always knew exactly what was happening and why. What really stood out was how respectful and clean they were while working. They treated my home with care, cleaned up afterward, and checked to make sure I was satisfied before leaving. It's those little touches -- follow-up questions, checking on details, making sure everything was working perfectly -- that made the whole experience feel thoughtful rather than transactional. If you're looking for plumbing and heating service that's dependable, knowledgeable, and genuinely focused on doing the right thing, Ferguson Plumbing and Heating delivers. I'll definitely call them again when needed -- it's five-star service done with skill and integrity.
